Took my niece here recently and wasn't blown away. My first impression wasn't great considering the menus weren't posted. The ice cream was ok, wasn't bad but wasn't great. I paid $18 for two small ice creams which is fairly expensive in my opinion. The service was good and fast which was nice. Inside of the shop was clean. My experience was overall just ok. I didn't expect much. To be honest, I'm the type of person who thinks more of what could go wrong than what could go right. So when I'm proven wrong, I'm utterly delighted, and thus was the case here. Freze N Nitro Creamery easily exceeded my expectations. I had never had liquid nitrogen ice cream, so I didn't know what to expect. I did hear though that sometimes this alters the flavor, so I was leery on that. I guess I was expecting a bland, tasteless, watery type of debacle, but that wasn't the case at all. The ice cream instead was solid, cold, and tasty. Also, can we say hearty? We all got regular-sized ice cream and the portions were beyond generous. It starts off like this. You choose a regular or large ice cream. From there, you pick a base: ice cream, yogurt, sugar free, or even vegan! Please note that they're more than willing to make you an ice cream shake over just ice cream. That said, once you pick your base, you pick your toppings. This is where things get interesting. Some toppings don't cost anything as they're essentially included in the price, while others are an extra 75 cents or more. Usually it's the heavier things, like chocolate shells, fudge, you get the idea. Given that I had read reviews previously, I signed up for the rewards program. Apparently with the four ice cream selections we made, I'm already halfway to a reward, so definitely something I consider worth getting. Ended up with many variations of ice cream, a vanilla and cookie dough with hot fudge and a chocolate shell, a cotton candy ice cream with sprinkles if memory serves me correctly, a Nutella ice cream with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a chocolate shell, but the most surprising of all: a vanilla and Oreo sugar-free ice cream shake! Seriously speaking, that shake was amazing and I don't even tend to order or try things sugar free. This one was my boyfriend's selection and I was curious, so I took a sip. I was beyond impressed and I'd wager that the next time I go, I may try ordering a vegan flavor (and more so that's not even my usual thing), so this is definitely somewhere worth venturing out to. I was super excited to come here for my #FirstTasteFriday lol especially because I've been cravingggg ice cream! The hours online said they opened at 2pm on Fridays, so my boyfriend and I decided to arrive fashionably late (lol we probably got there a few minutes after 2pm). But despite the fact that their window signs indicated they were open, we were surprised to see that the lights were off and that the doors were still locked. We decided to walk around the beautiful little shopping plaza for about 15 minutes, and when we looped back around to the ice cream shop, we saw the employees opening up for the day. Wasn't expecting them to open up that late, but I completely understand that things are a bit slower due to this quarantine, so to give them some credit, they probably weren't expecting customers to pop in 15 minutes into opening. The employees were very nice and wore masks, and it was also nice to see that they had tape on the ground to help customers practice social distancing. For my order, I decided on a vegan cake batter ice cream with Oreo crumbles and it was creamy and tasty! The texture was a bit melty compared to other nitrogen ice creams I've tried, but then again, we got there as soon as the employees opened up so maybe the machines weren't fully ready yet. I think my experience might have been different if I had arrived a little later in the day lol but for my next trip here, I think I'll try to come more towards the evening! read more

The best thing about this place is that they can pretty much make almost every flavor of their ice cream vegan! You usually only get one or two options max at most regular ice cream shops, so this was a fun treat. I opted for peanut butter vegan ice cream with bananas and walnuts mixed in. It was far less sweet than the standard ice cream, but was very creamy and tasty. My son had the traditional vanilla ice cream with Oreos which he loved! Very rude customer service. Ice cream was subpar. My family and I visited yesterday- Super Bowl Sunday- and the one employee in there, an older guy in a yellow shirt was incredibly rude. It was our first time there, so we had some questions about the process and menu selections. Well..... obviously we Interrupted the employee from his ability to watch the Super Bowl so he was unhelpful, snappy, rude, impatient, and downright mean to me, my sister and our two 70 year old parents. I would definitely recommend that management retrain this member of their team on correct customer service protocols. The icecream was more about the experience of watching the process than any memorable quality of the icecream. There are several reasons to check this place out. If you like watching frozen nitrogen waft through the air. If you like ice cream with evenly mixed & varied toppings of your choice. If you are near & need ice cream, go for it at least once. It is worth a visit. The décor is clean & minimalist - fitting the apparent science lab theme. The customer service was great when we went. The menu can be a little difficult to decipher at first, but the staff talked us through it, and patiently explained - considering some of our food allergies. We were offered a ladyfinger flash frozen in nitrogen! It was such a great intro that it overshadowed the ice cream experience. The warning from the attendant to "wait a few seconds before you bite it, and then, don't let it sit on your tongue because it might burn...but you won't die" sounds a little wacky. BUT for an adventurous eater like me, it's THE perfect offering. This was my first visit to a "nitro creamery", & after crunching through an air-crisp ladyfinger & billowing out cold vapor like smoke, I was expecting to have my mind blown a little. Here's a tip for the uninitiated: the "nitro ice cream" just means they use a mixer to combine your toppings evenly & then use nitrogen to flash freeze the ice cream again. The taste & texture of the ice cream is not affected. And, other than perfectly mixed toppings - you are eating regular ice cream scooped into a cup. The presentation is wonderful! But, if you are coming for some type of molecular gastronomy or even for superior quality ice cream, lower your expectations. The culinary part of the experience lays solely in choosing your toppings & having them mixed. Which is fine! It's just much different from eating a ladyfinger that's been transformed before your eyes. I'm posing the presentation as a weakness. But, that's not a problem I have with THIS establishment specifically. It's a problem I have with the concept. If you are bringing kids with general palates or want a clean place to talk over ice cream, this place will do. It's well run. The staff cares. Here's the thing, though...expect to pay about $6 for ice cream with a few toppings!! Customizing your own ice cream SHOULD cost more - yes. But, how much am I paying for the nitrogen gas part of it? And, if the ice cream is regular ice cream, & the eating experience is not different, & clouds of nitrogen are the only discerning factor - I don't know how this can compete with the price point of any of the many fro-yo spots all over this area (or even a Cold Stone). I came by for a quick snack, this place is so cute and kind of out of main sight since it's in a less-busy plaza, but I know if it were near the main roads it would get so busy! It's genuinley very good ice cream. Customer service was awesome and nice too. I went with the birthday cake with rainbow sprinkles, it was delicious and actually had a small portion frozen in the middle, but just right, it was like a dippin dot, omg so good. They have spiked ice cream too! They can infuse it with alcohol and flavors to match the profile of the liquor you choose, or you make your own custom spiked treat. Overall really great spot. The establishment is located in close proximity city hall at the Town Center Plaza. The business was very clean. The seating area has a station with disinfectant wipes which I loved. There is a seating area for small children and they provide two televisions. The bathrooms are not gender neutral but clean all the same. There was only one staff member but he was friendly and worked at a pretty good speed considering there were five people in my party. It took about five minutes to start cranking out the icecream. What I didn't like is that the staff member picked up the cup with his hand inside of it as opposed to handing it on the outside. But he did wash his hands. My COQUITO icecream was EVERYTHING !
