I spoke to one of the office girls an I explained the situation to her I asked her when we were getting paid she said Friday people would be paid. Jess Foster was paid and will not pay me for the hours I worked. I have left multiple voicemails at MPM, I went into the office on 7/20 and again I explained the issue she had me write down my name, number and email she said someone would contact me. I still have not heard anything from them and still have not been paid for the hours I worked. She soon started having her assistants show me listings instead of her which wasn't a big deal to me. I work full time and needed to see listings ASAP outside of the 8-5 hours. One week, I had sent here a few listings on Wednesday and she said she would get showings set up for the following Saturday. I said that would work great. One of the listings I sent her was within 2 hours of it being posted, yet it seemed she waited days to try setting up a showing, so the house was pending by the day I wanted to see it. She neglected to tell me this until the morning of my scheduled showings. When I asked if the sellers knew someone else still wanted to see it, she went into crazy defense mode. She called me over the phone to tell me she did not want to work with me anymore. She said showing me listings was exhausting (which isn't that her job??), called me a "spoiled brat," and told me I could kiss her ass. It was the most unprofessional phone call I have ever had with someone. I would never recommend anyone looking for a house to work with her, buying a house should be an exciting time and she made it an absolutely miserable experience for me.

I would not recommend MTR to any college student looking to rent in Ames…read more PLEASE READ THIS: My friends and I all wanted to live in a house in college because we thought it would be fun, but we knew it wouldn't be perfect. Realistically houses need upkeep and things are more expensive (utilities, etc.). It's a cheap college house it Ames, we did not expect a palace. From the first day we received the keys to our house we've had problems. The second we walked through the door we noticed our house was NOT cleaned properly, or maybe even at all. Cabinets were yellow from no ventilation and knobs in the bathroom were covered in mold. There was dog hair everywhere, even a thick coat in the air vents, from the previous renters. We cleaned everything and they came to replace the knobs. They also forgot to mention we had to bring in our own washer and dryer. As time went on we noticed more. Our oven didn't work, our shower is ALWAYS cold, insects everywhere, one even came up out of our drain. Our bathroom ceiling gets quickly covered in mold no matter how many times I clean it. The downstairs bedroom started flooding after a big storm. Any time I've had a problem and I try to call them, NO ANSWER. EVER. I've began to text them and their responses are always less than helpful. Very sloppy management. I wish I did my research before applying with this company. Please do not sign with MTR Properties. We are so disappointed and cannot wait to be moved out.
