Another…read morecompany initially came out to do the cleanup and dried everything out and apparently determined the scope of work that remained to be done to complete the restoration. The first company actually removed a lot of the baseboards, the carpet and moved the furniture out. Our lower level is down 15 stairs from our main level and due to medical conditions, we didn't go down there often, which is why we weren't even aware of the damage at first. When Zipco arrived on the scene, they sent Shaun to oversee our project and Jesus and his helpers to perform the work. They were incredibly good to us, very sensitive to our inability to actually get downstairs to oversee everything. They worked with us on our availability because my husband was very ill and hospitalized several times during this restoration. Jesus and his team did an outstanding job on everything that was included in their scope of work. My husband passed away during this time, in addition to many other personal issues that arose over the months they were completing the work. When they were finished, I went down to review the completed work but there were several items I felt were not addressed. This was not their fault, as the scope of work was determined by the company who did the cleanup. My insurance company was responsive to me and came out to look at the issues I brought up that were not addressed. Together, Zipco and the insurance company agreed that the scope should be increased to address the remaining issues, and the end result is absolutely wonderful. The actual work they did is top notch, but just as important in my view, is the way they treated me throughout this process. My husband always handled this type of stuff, and they were incredibly patient with me and helped me to understand how everything was supposed to work. If you are planning on having restoration work done after flooding, I have told them they can bring you to see the great work they did on my house. I am grateful and appreciate everything they did to help me.

We are pretty disappointed with our experience with Service Master. We had a pipe break back in…read moreOctober and they were assigned to us by our insurance. From the beginning the communication has been horrendous and the follow-through on their promises even worse. We had to hand-hold them at every turn to make sure they did all that they quoted us. We have been told they were going to come pick up the trash multiple times in the last month and the trash is still sitting in our driveway. Overall poor experience, however, the work got done and the house is back in working condition and looks nice.

They dispatched the plumber to somewhere else but said they would call again if he could make it to me. He showed up about an hour later. He said it would be $600 to repair the faucet, or $2100 to replace it. Now, I do not have a fancy bathroom. It's pretty basic so I was very surprised by the price. He pushed the financing, but that was way more than I was willing to pay, so I called someone else.
