Still a solid five stars. Still the best apple fritter ever! Service is friendly (just like the name) and the selection is very very good. Prices have gone up but that's to be expected, still reasonable though. Will come back every time we're in town.

Not too many old school donut shops around. We need more of them. So much better than Krispy Kreme and Pinkbox. Service was friendly Large variety of donuts Fresh baked Excellent quality Tasted amazing **Cash only

Been coming here for a few years. We like it for its old school style and selection, no fancy foofy stuff here, no crazy colors and decorations -- just straight up donut donuts. If you're a traditional glazed guy or gal, then this is your spot. Light and tender in the best way. Maple bars great as well. Always open, always reliable. Cash only.

This is my favorite place! I've been coming here every couple days to get their donuts. They made them fresh and delicious. Many choices to choose from and reasonable price. Service is very good. If you buy a lot they give you extra too. Cash only so be prepared. Ambiance is nice and clean that you can sit down and enjoy the food.

This spot is a hidden gem! I dont know what they do to make these donuts extra tasty but please, keep doing it. Ill definitely be back.

We kept hearing about how good this donut place from our family that lives here. Now that we are here at this donut place for the first time, it's very appealing as you first enter with the place smelling good and the donuts looks really good to the eyes that makes me want to try all the different donuts. This place is legit. I tried the cake donut with coconut shavings toppings and regular glazed donuts. It was really good. I would come back here again. Donuts are definitely fresh and soft. I would rather have a donut from the is place over Krispy Kreme

It's been several years since I'd been do Friendly Donut House. The service is still top notch, the donuts are sooo fresh and good, I love treating myself to them. If there is one guilty thing I allow myself to gorge on is that I love me some donuts and coffee. Just kidding I'll gorge on anything lol. This time we tried the donut holes, an apple fritter that was fresh out of the fryer/oven, and got a couple to bring home with us. The coffee was good this the me around- I'm not sure how bad it was when I cane here last time but it was great with my donut holes. The apple fritter is a must try! Cash only still, so make sure you bring enough for a tip also, the apple fritter was amazing. The donut holes reminded me of home, and their options are pretty simple, old donut house options. Love me some Friendly Donut House, if you're in the area stop by!

    Assorted donuts and donut holes.

Been here a few times now, honestly I would say everytime is better than the last! Can be super busy in the mornings but Friendly's is open pretty late for a donut shop! Employees are super nice as well. Parking sucks but that's just the lot unfortunately.

The best donuts in Henderson. Apple Fritter is the best, along with the old fashion donuts. Bring cash because they do not take any cards.

You never know how good you've got it until something is gone/ not as easily accessible. Now I live across town but was allured back on National Donut Day by some cool merch and yummy donuts. Carl's is a fun spot with lots of space for seating (both indoor and outdoor). They have a variety of options, whether your preference is savory or sweet. I had to exercise self control and only get half a dozen donuts, which included a couple cake donuts with icing and sprinkles, their arguably famous Devil's Food Cake with icing, an Oreo cinnamon roll, and a Bavarian cream-filled. My husband and I enjoyed everything but had especially rave reviews for the Devil's Food Cake. It was decadent and rich. It was filling and utterly divine. Despite how busy they were for National Donut Day, their staff was friendly, high energy, and well-organized, moving people through expediently while answering any questions we might have. As more small business close these days, it's a rarity to see an institution like Carl's celebrating 60 years in our community. I hope you'll support them too, and enjoy a delightful sugar rush in the process!

We…read morewalked into a casual, welcoming space with display cases filled with everything from classic glazed donuts to specialty creations, cinnamon rolls, pastries, and breakfast items. The shop has that familiar, no frills feel that makes it easy to stop in for a quick treat or a more deliberate morning run, and the steady flow of regulars coming through the door speaks to the kind of loyalty the bakery has built over time. The first thing that stood out was how fresh everything tasted. The donuts had that just made quality where the texture still feels soft and light rather than sitting around for hours. Carl's is known for its specialty donuts, and those are definitely where the bakery shines. The rotating flavors, fritters, and signature creations feel like they get just as much attention as the classics. We tried a few of the specialty options and could see why they draw so much attention, with toppings and fillings that felt thoughtful rather than piled on for effect. The cinnamon rolls also looked impressive and seem to have built a following of their own, with a generous swirl and a glaze that added the right amount of sweetness without overwhelming the pastry itself. Beyond the donuts, there is a surprisingly broad selection of baked goods and breakfast options. The croissants, quiche, and other pastries make it feel more like a neighborhood bakery than a simple donut shop. The variety gives the shop a versatility that works for both a quick grab and go stop or a more leisurely morning visit, with enough on the menu to satisfy different cravings across a few visits. Service during our visit was friendly and efficient, especially considering how many people were coming in and out. The staff kept the line moving while still answering questions about flavors and recommendations. Even when busy, the atmosphere felt relaxed and local rather than rushed, with the team handling the steady flow of customers without losing the welcoming feel of the shop. What we appreciated most about Carl's Donuts is that it still feels like an independent shop focused on making fresh products every day. In a city full of flashy dessert spots, there is something refreshing about a place that simply does the basics well. The donuts deliver on freshness, the variety keeps things interesting, and the overall experience feels rooted in the kind of neighborhood routine that makes local bakeries worth supporting. It is the kind of place you stop at when you want a donut that actually tastes like it was made that morning, and it delivers on that promise consistently.

26 Minutes, 1 Stale Donut, 2 happy kids, zero regret. Infinite Life Lessons…read moreSo lemme set the scene... I was in a mood. A Weird, almost 40, post-breakup, "Am I gonna be alone forever? Is this my life?" kinda mood, on account of Aunt Flow pulling up and doing her usual demolition job on my life. I'd been eating watermelon and kale all week (yay, self-care), but .... by the time 7:45 PM rolled around ya girl needed .... real self care. I googled donut places like a true adult. Naturally, I picked the highest-rated ones and found this gem: Rainbows Donuts. It had a solid 4.9, which is 0.1 higher than Masters Donuts, the actual best in Vegas. And it was a whole 5.9 miles away. I could've taken the freeway in 20 minutes, but I was listening to a super enlightening audiobook about a Vegas hooker, so I figured I'd take the scenic route and give the night a little drama. Yeah, I got dressed, packed up my dog and drove 26 minutes at night... for a donut. Some would call this an addiction the ladies in my book ... a fetish. The drive? Sketch AF! Took me into parts of Vegas that I SHANT FORGET. Lord have mercy, I ain't bougie, but gottdamn... Chillee... the ghettoooo... A bitch was locking them Lexus doors every seconds 'cause sh!!!!!t... I digress... I ended up in a strip mall that looked like it hadn't seen a makeover since '99. no shade but... --shrug-- No "Rainbow Donuts" sign, just a generic Donuts sign that didn't scream 4.9. But neither does Masters. I circled the parking lot drive-by style, and saw that almost all the donuts were gone through the windows. I was finna leave, 'cause I figured: If this place is open 'til 9, it's already 8:10. These been sitting here mad long and they probably stale and not worth my damn time. But then Shelia, my inner demon, screamed, "b@tch gtfo Out the car witcho scary ass and , go get a donut!" So I did. cuz i follow directions very well. Inside, I still wasn't sure if I was in the right place until I saw a minuscule teeny tiny "Rainbow Donuts" sign so small it looked like an afterthought. The selection was SCANT AF Like the hoe stroll during march madness. I almost called it quits, but I'm nothing if not committed to poor decisions. I grabbed two glazed donuts and six donut holes (for Benson, my dog, because he deserves better than I do). The cashier was polite, the place was hella clean. i wanted some of their Thrifty Ice Cream but I'm Black, and therefore automatically lactose intolerant and ya girl ain't want "that" kind of night, ya feel me? So I left it alone, paid 9 bucks and some change--which is INSANELy Expensive AF for conditions.... On the way out, I pulled a donut out to inspect, and here's what I learned: 1. Thickness = usually means nice and chewy! 2. When my fingers punctured the donut's glassy exterior, it shattered. a very good sign indeed. I took a bite before I even got to the car. #Greed. And honestly? It was stale Af but not as tragic as expected for stale. could tell it had potential hours ago. ate the rest 'cause self-control? where? meanwhile, Benson, was devouring his even more stale donuts. Then, as I was in the car, plugging in my GPS, I saw two adorable lil' Black kids running up to the donut shop, dollars crisp, looking like they'd been waiting all day for this moment. So, in my best Auntie mode, I went back in and bought them some donuts and ice cream. cuz why not? Karma, right? They thanked me, I felt like a saint, and then I went home to evaluate my life choices. Would I go back? Sure, in the morning when they're fresh. I mean, I hope they're better. So Why the four stars? cuz stale donuts are TRASH af. But for this to be as good as it was stale? I'm willing to bet on the potential. If I go back and it still tastes like disappointment, I'll drop it to 3 stars. But for now, we rounding up.

Possibly they had about 6 different kinds available, but not even two dozen all together and yet they were still open for a while. I'm simple. I like glazed and chocolate bars. I'm not a big sweet nor flavor person. They graciously asked if I wanted already glazed donuts dipped in chocolate when I asked if there were traditional glazed donuts or chocolate bars coming out. I said one, because I'm not into that much frosting, but walked all the way there for a donut. Turns out, it was actually a glazed old fashioned with chocolate on it. She gave me an extra because she felt bad which is why they get an extra star. She wanted to please me. It just... wasn't at all what I wanted and due to too much frosting on it, didn't work. Darn it! Also, there were so many different flavored milks available, but no plain milk in any variety. The donut holes aren't my thing, either BUT I wanted glazed, came all the way there, they were good, even though not fresh fresh. They were too hard the next day, but if you can eat them all day if, go for it. She said come later this week, she'll save me glazed and chocolate bars (sweet but I didn't really expect this to happen; credit where credit is due). Two days later, we drove there earlier to try again. I was excited and truly wanted donuts! The hours were on the window, open sign in lights... door was locked, no donuts to be seen anywhere. No note on the door explaining an emergency or anything. According to themselves, they should be open. When this place is hopping, the donuts would be better than a gas station store, but they just aren't reliable. Again, the counter person wanted to help me and did her best to make me happy.

CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute! I love the decor and feel in here but just really disappointed in this whole experience and not the best quality of customer service. Located on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Green Valley.
