A friend brought a box of these donuts to share. I tried a couple of flavors including the s'mores, churro, and ube donuts. My favorite was the churro; the others didn't quite meet my expectations in flavor (s'mores tasted like chocolate only, ube tasted like a sugar donut) Texture wise I've had bouncier, fresher mochi donuts elsewhere. The place is small and hidden in a shopping center by Smiths. I'd been wanting to check them out for a while to try the mochi donuts because they've been hyped up and finally came in for a dozen. When I walked in it was empty but someone quickly came out from the back and greeted me with a smile. I got a variety including Dubai chocolate, lemon bar, strawberry shortcake, churro, raspberry funnel cake, classic, and chocolate sea salt. They looked great and the taste was good but nothing to write home about. My son loves mochi donuts and he said they were okay but the Dubai chocolate was his fave. It's a pretty decent donut. No vegan options, yet (which they did say they would be making them. I don't like the aftertaste of milky flavors. First time here and loving the cute store! They have it all! Korean hotdogs, mochi donuts, boba and Dubai chocolate! Staff was very friendly and they make their hotdogs fresh so it may take 10 mins buts it's worth the wait! They definitely need more chairs and tables but overall a very cute spot to hang out or get a quick snack! What we got: We got the korean hotdogs which we devoured! I was in the area so I decided to come here. My husband and I ended up getting the viral Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. We didn't know it was going to be $20! lol! We always wanted to try it. The strawberries were juicy and fresh! The chocolate was nice and melted and the knafeh was nice and crunchy. I liked how there was actual pistachio nut crumbles at the top. It was delicious, but definitely not $20 worth. At least we can say we tried it. They do have donuts, which I would like to try on our next visit. read more

There were some good things and some bad things about this place so I keep waffling between recommending it and not. I will say though that it was just an "OK" experience. According to Yelp (and Google) they were open until 8PM on the Saturday night we went in. However, coming up to the door, there was a paper sign that said they closed at 7pm. It was 6:54. We felt bad, but there were other people inside and we didn't want a drink so we came in anyway. When we asked the person working the counter if it was ok because they were about to close, he was shocked and asked what time it was. We told him 6:55, 5 min to close and he looks at us super confused and says they don't close until 8. I was like the sign outside says 7 and he's like, no I'm here until 8. When we left I made sure to look again. The handwritten sharpie number was definitely a 7. To be honest, I almost wanted to leave upon walking in because the place smells weird. Not like a place where sugary treats are made. It almost smelled like wet dog and I wasn't about it. It also looked fairly dirty, even though I think it was just the "rustic" concrete floor and open space that made it seem dirty. The person working the counter was STRESSED. He had just made boba drinks for the customer in front of us and another customer was waiting for his boba. The person at the counter asked him if it was ok to make the boba after we ordered because it would take too much time. I don't mind waiting, knowing we have an hour now and not 5 min, but the other customer didn't mind so it was ok. It was rough ordering the 6 donuts because they were out of a lot and he told us he would normally make them to order, but he didn't have time. This poor kid needs to be trained on time management. The donuts themselves were alright. They had the right texture and didn't taste old or anything. I actually really liked the texture and sweetness level of the frosting on the ones I tried. My husband's critique is if you're gonna call something a smores donut, put more than a quarter of a marshmallow on it but he ate it and enjoyed it. I don't think I'd come back to be honest, but it's worth a try if you're in the neighborhood. read more

We absolutely LOVED the Dubai Strawberry Cup before, but unfortunately something seems to have changed, either the pistachio, the chocolate, or both because it does not taste the same anymore. It was honestly terrible this time and its always so delicious. I only had two bites and couldn't finish it, and my son, who normally LOVES your Dubai Cup, couldn't finish his either. We were both really disappointed. Hopefully we can change this review if the taste changes back to quality again. My co-workers & I got a lovely surprise tonight...FREE donuts! An employee brought in 3 dozen donuts because "they made too many & didn't want them to go to waste." Well in this ER we don't say "no" to food....lol Everyone went running over to the boxes to check the donuts out. I indulged & had almost 2. The 1st one I had was covered with a white frosting & Halloween colored sprinkles. The frosting tasted sweet, but not too sweet. Not sure if it just was a confectionery glaze? I did find the donut thick & not airy like another donut shop in town. I was having trouble deciding between the red frosted one or the orange frosted one....I ended up going with the orange one & the frosting did taste like orange & was very sweet. I found this donut heavier than the first one. I love the fluorescent colors on their boxes. The display of them inside the box brought smiles to our faces. Worst experience !! ($$) Me and my boyfriend love Korean corn dogs, unfortunately the only one in Vegas that we ever go to is 30 minutes away. I was really craving it so I risked it and looked to see if I can find somewhere in Henderson I can buy a Korean corn dog. When we placed our order we were the only ones there but as people came in and out, we waited about 30 minutes and ended up being the last ones to receive our food. The menu here is expensive for the way it is being served. Compared to (crunch cheese) I even ordered a brown sugar boba and it just tasted like 90% milk. I've never had a mochi donut until I tried this place. It's light and fluffy and the flavors are spot on. I got the gf raspberry funnel cake, tasted like I was at a carnival and the other was a gf churro. Finally a donut spot with a variety of gluten free options to chose from!!!! They are a little pricy for a donut but it's definitely worth it as its a treat for me since back home there aren't places near me like this! I also grabbed a regular cinnamon donut for my mom, she said it was good but tasted a little sweet. I also grabbed an Oreo cheesecake (regular) for my grandma to try out since she likes chocolate. This place is located to the left of smiths in a strip mall, the outside looks like it's closed as it's blacked out windows, but they are actually open. I came before closing and the girl that helped me was friendly and got me on my way. I've visited and left a review for them when they were still Mochinut, but this review is for my experience with them as Daddy Donut. It's still nice to know that I can get my hands on some yummy mochi donuts just down the road from my house! This place, I am telling you, this here was the best service I've received in a while. Most of the donuts that they had here were the same as Mochinut, but they had new flavors that I haven't seen before. I ordered a six-piece box with the following donut flavors; (1) ube, (1) cinnamon swirl, (2) churro, and (2) s'mores. These donuts came in a black box with a pretty pink color and other cute little donut designs on it. Though I won't be eating all these in one day, my favorite out of all these right now would be the cinnamon swirl, though this was an actual donut and not a mochi donut. It was like a big pop of flavor in my mouth once I took a bite out of it. Like literally 20 seconds after I placed my order, it was all packed up and ready to go. I'm not gonna lie here, this was the quickest I have ever received an order after placing it. The people working there were also very friendly and had excellent customer service skills. They did the Urban Matcha thing. Daddy Donut is a new yet established business whose ownership decided recently to leave Mochinut. They haven't gotten through all of the old boxes and perhaps more based on what I learned from interrogating the cashier. The Korean hot dogs on a stick (I refuse to acknowledge the corn dog sign if it's not corn-based) are a bit pricier than I recall from my first visit, but it's been a while. The original hot dog ($4.50) is still beef and the whole mozzarella ($5.50) is still gooey, but the rice flour feels too gluey and perhaps grainy. The employee whom I asked about it said that the recipe was changed several months ago and they're considering changing it now that they've de-branded, but that didn't help me now. The sauce variety is nice but it gets very unwieldy if you're using the cut-off tip squeeze bottles to apply sauces directly to your dogs. Mainly because of the rice batter weirdness, I suggest staying away from the hot dogs for now. The Mochi Donuts appear to be a little cheaper now ($2.85 for 1, $15.50 for 6, $28.00 for 12), and I was told that they use locally sourced ingredients now. The mochi dough makes it pretty springy and soft, and the glazes are pretty good. Passion fruit is a hit among the flavors, and maple (supposedly a clone of the glaze of "a popular Canadian chain") is also great. They do have one slightly different offering in the Raspberry Cheesecake Cake Mochi donut. It feels more like a buttermilk donut base with maybe a little bounciness. The raspberry flavor is pretty strong, but the cheesecake-like character is there too. Come to Daddy Donut for the mochi donuts and wait a bit on the Korean dogs on a stick. Interesting name connotations or not, I'm glad I paid them another visit. read more

Daddy Donut! How cute is the name?! I stopped here while I was waiting for my order at Tacotarian. I was really craving something sweet and I saw Daddy Donut across the parking lot. It was my first time visiting and immediately I saw so many flavors to choose from. They even have gluten free options. The staff member was very welcoming and friendly. There were a few people ahead of me so the staff said they'd be right with me and thanked me for patience - very thoughtful and kind. When it was my turn, I asked about their top flavors so I could narrow my selection. I chose the Oreo and it was so good. Before any photo judgement, I want to say that I know I should've taken a photo before I tried the donut but I couldn't help it lol. I needed a sweet rush I've never had a donut like this before - it's kind of like little donut holes formed into one donut. It's the perfect shape to eat and savor one piece at a time. While staying in Vegas, a friend told me about Danny Donut and I simply had to check it out. This cute, cozy spot was everything I hoped for. The owner was so nice and chatted with me about baking and steps to prevent cross contamination.
