I called NYC Firewood this morning and 15 bundles wood was delivered to my apartment by 2pm ,same day!. The wood was a perfect size for my small fireplace (get 12" size wood) and my small apartment (get "City Cord" - 15 bundles). Not only was the service good, but the wood is nothing like the wet plywood you get at the corner deli. There is no need to dry the wood out for weeks before use; there is no mold and no critters hiding in the cracks. The wood burns clean with no chemicals or excess smoke. NYC Firewood (A Dimitri's Garden Center operation) is the best the city has to offer, unless you go upstate and chop it yourself.
