Yesterday, I was trying to buy 24 red roses from this business. I was making the order through the phone and had misplaced my wallet. A lady by the name of Holly was the one on my phone. She told me take your time, and it took me about 3 minutes to find it. As Im pulling my card out, I say "so sorry about that, I didnt know where my wallet was" she responded with a SA comment said "that would have been the first thing I would have done" this is holly with friendly florist behind dodges next to the chevron and the old orthodontist place. Im a local have been for 25 years in the panhandle and I will never go back or call that place again. We had a destination wedding in Ft Walton scheduled for Saturday but on Friday the bouquet we had ordered (from a different business) was a no show!! A quick Google search later and we randomly chose Friendly Florist and it was the best decision we could have made. We visit the shop around 2:45 pm (they close at 5!) and tell Beth our tragic tale, she asked all the right questions to figure out our brides vision then set about showing us some combinations of flowers and greenery that they had on hand to make sure she was going in the right direction. We had to leave to pick up the cake and complete a few other errands but Beth assured us that they would create us a bouquet and have it ready for to pick up before close. And boy, did they deliver.. they free handed a bouquet that was gorgeous and in record time! Great job Beth and the team, thank you. I visited in person to describe the tribute for my husband's funeral and also a small arrangement to encircle his urn. I explained in great detail what I wanted and Linda said she totally understood. When I arrived at the funeral home, I was very upset! The small arrangement for the urn was not able to be used as it would have covered the urn. I could not use it. The large tribute actually had flowers that were drooping and it was not as plush and full as I had requested. Price was not a consideration. I would not recommend them. read more

Friendly Florist was given order; did not have the get well items shown at website in-stock so arbitrarily substituted a b-day bear and b-day balloon which changed the entire sentiment of my order! Floral part of pkg was OK. They tried to offer to make it right by bringing out a get-well balloon and small box of chocolates the next day. Disappointed. The flowers I received were a surprise. They were supposed to be delivered to where I work on a Monday. On the scheduled delivery day I received a phone call from my employer at 530pm saying that I had a flower delivery (The person who ordered the flowers had told them my work hours, but the delivery arrived long after). I was so surprised and excited to have received flowers. I spoke with the delivery lady on the phone, she said she could bring them to my home and verified my address. I waited up, but the flowers were never delivered. I went to bed disappointed. The next day, Tuesday, the flowers were delivered to my work place. The flowers were pretty and smelled nice. Some of the roses were kind of brown on the edges, but not bad. However, the next day the lavender and pink roses were very wilted. The mini roses too. I ordered Mothers Day flowers for my Nana for $48. It did not come anywhere close as many flowers as the picture on their website, it did not come with butterflies and it came in a tiny white basket. I called and they said they can not give me a refund even if I returned it. She said I could bring the flowers in and they can put butterflies in it by Monday! LOL I could have gotten a better deal for my money by going to a grocery store... Really sad. She said the picture on the website is enhanced, so it's pretty much false advertisement. On-line order was suppose to be Pink Roses and White Alstroemeria but what was delivered were red roses and daisies- really? that is not what was ordered or paid for. The order was 2 days late- makes the order look like an after thought... contacted my on-line retailer when the flowers did not get delivered on April 5. They contacted this florist who said- oh yes we have the order and they will be delivered tomorrow. I placed the order on Monday for guaranteed delivery on Wednesday. Well they did not arrive on Thursday either so asked the on-line source to contact the florist again- the response this time was - the recipient was not home but we left a note on the door for them to call when they arrive home. I contacted the person who was suppose to receive the order and there was no note on the door and she was home during the time they stated they were there. On-line service called the florist back again and they stated oh well- we will deliver tomorrow. Well tomorrow is today and flowers did get delivered but they were not the ones ordered. I was also told by my on-line retailer that they would ask them for an upgrade at no charge to me- daisies- really- that is not an upgrade. I am giving them one star because there is no zero star. On my birthday a friend of mine unfortunately called Friendly Florist and ordered a very expensive orchid arraignment as my birthday gift. They had the nerve to cut the orchid steam and stick 3 of them in whatever would pretend to be a very expensive orchid arraignment. You can wonder what happened. FIVE days after I received the wonderful gift, the orchid flowers, the open ones and the ones still closed was falling off. As the previous victim explained below, do not be deceived by the pictures on their website. Of course I am not calling my friend to let her know the fiasco of her great gift. They should change their name to Un-Friendly Florists. I purchased a $65 arrangement on-line for a local funeral ($75 with delivery fee) thinking I was going to receive a nice, classical piece for the money I was paying (deluxe edition). I was absolutely embarrassed when I walked in and saw this sad, pitiful arrangement with my name on it. Then the funeral home delivered all the flowers to my sisters home and I became more embarrassed as my family continued to poke fun at the puny thing. I took the flowers home and went the next day to tell them how displeased I was with their product. I expressed my displeasure and asked the lady behind the counter if she felt the sad display was acceptable. She either could or would not answer me, just kept stating that she had to count the stems to make sure the designer used the right "recipe". Low and behold, they delivered the standard version in lieu of the deluxe. Get this.... After much discussion and me finally threatening to go stand in front of the store asking customers coming in if they thought the arrangement was acceptable, they offered to give me $10 dollars back (the difference of price between the standard and the deluxe version). Seriously.... These were for a funeral that had already taken place the day before.... You can't go back to it! The lady eventually told the girl to refund 1/2 of the price of the arrangement...never mind that they should refund the delivery fee as well as I had to deliver them back to the store. I advised them to keep the poor, pitiful excuse for flowers and walked out the door. As a local for over 25 years, I will NEVER purchase from them again and I will be sure to scream from the rooftops to anyone that will listen about not only how crappy their products are but about how bad their customer service is.
