I rarely have my nails done; it is a treat for me, so although I go to "Friendly Nails", I wouldn't say I was all that regular...some of the faces come and go but the face I had do my pedicure two days ago, I will remember. Her name was "Michelle" and she was gentle and kind with a sincere, warm smile that made me feel at ease. The business owner should take a lesson from her. When I arrived, the owner scaresly acknowledged me and almost begrudgingly directed me to "pick a color"...(I did not know she was the owner at this point, thought she would be the person giving me my pedicure). She picked up a package of steralized equipment and tossed them onto the chair in front of where I was sitting, walked away and proceeded to read a magazine. She never once smiled, never once explained that the person who would be giving me my pedicure was working on the person next to me and would be with me in a moment, but just ignored me. I was just about to get up, put my shoes on, let her know she was rude (remember, this is a TREAT...not an oil change) and leave...but within seconds, this lovely young girl, rolled her chair over to me and was so very plesant, my annoyance ended and I left with a very lovely pedicure. Michelle told me she only works weekends (she is a student), so that is when I will plan to go. If you see the owner, ignor her. I am sure the girls working for/with her must be as delighted as I was, so I feel badly for them...but the OTHERS here ARE Friendly! read more

Mediocre. Maybe it was my specific nail lady because I had her both times. Gel mani looks pretty good although i have had better. Pedicure I am not super happy with, she didn't even scrub my feet so I have lots of rough skin left. She cut my callouses... like wtf, file them not clip them, or atleast file after to even it out...could have done better at home for free. Clean though and massage chairs are nice, fair prices. If I return I'll request someone new. read more

Worst pedicure EVER! While I admit to being a bit of a pedicure diva, I do expect to get what I pay for. Pedicures are a luxury that I don't mind paying for but I expect good service and I tip accordingly. Not being able to get into my regular salon so close to the holidays, I checked my trusty Yelp! app for an alternative salon. The first two I went to were swamped and I was on a time crunch so I called Friendly Nails. They could get me right in. Now I know why. The technicians were friendly when I walked in, set me up in a pedicure chair and all was looking well. I asked for the milk and honey sea salt deluxe pedicure with hot stones added. The technician (Tracy) looked at me like a deer in the headlights. It went downhill from there. What should have been a relaxing and pleasant experience turned into a painful and completely confusing ordeal. The tech constantly had to ask other staff members what to do. When she did my salt scrub, she decided to do the hot stone massage at the same time! The "massage " consisted of quickly skimming lukewarm stones over the salt scrub. OUCH! I have never had to tell someone to STOP rubbing my feet. She barely exfoliated my feet, did not do the masque that came with it, and had to keep looking at the other techs who asked ME how I wanted it done! She finished with a brief rubbing of lotion about the size of a quarter on my legs. I was in and out in 40 minutes- Half the time any other "deluxe" pedicures I have received. It was strangest experience I have ever had in a nail salon. I would have been better off lighting a match and BURNING $40.00. Don't waste your money. read more

Had one of the best pedicures of my life here. I didn't catch his name. Very professional and did such a great job. The pedicure massage was done with hot rocks. It is small inside and not very spa like but he worked magic with his hands on my feet. read more

Shopping for a new nail salon. To be fair, I didn't stay to have my nails done so can't speak to the job they would have done. I came in and said I just wanted to look at the gel colors they have. Of course they wanted to sit me down to have a manicure right then but I said right now I just want to look at colors and I haven't decided whether to have a mani right now. They seated me at a station and brought the colors out and just started preparing to do the mani. I told her again I just want to look at colors now. She asked if I wanted a pedi too. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier problem or she just really wasn't listening. I always feel like there's pressure to hurry and pick a color so since I had some time, I just wanted to find a few I liked. So she sat down in front of me at the station and basically stared at me while I looked. Sorry. That's not "friendly". I've also always thought it's rude to speak in another language (whether it's Vietnamese, Spanish, French or whatever) right in front of other people, especially customers. It feels like they are talking about you right in front of you, and I know from my friend who understands Vietnamese that some of the time they are. It is a very clean store. It's not very relaxing but they try. Annie did my manicure and pedicure today. The pedicure made a remarkable improvement but my heels were still very cracked looking. I got one of the pricier pedicures so I guess I expected a bit better. The manicure was fine. In a pinch if you can't get an appt at your regualr salon, this place is just fine. read more

I would not return to this salon. Not only are the ladies there unfriendly (but not rude), I don't think most of them speak or understand English very well. This is only a problem if you are trying to communicate directly with the nail tech working on you. It's tough not being able to tell her how you like your nails specifically. Nice looking nail spa. Communication poor. I asked for a gel manicure. The sweet young nail tech did not speak English. Her supervisor treated me like an inconvenience and did not ask what level of manicure I wanted (unusual-used to up sell) so I did not complain or ask for a complete manicure when I realized she was just doing the basics, trim cuticles until they bled and gel polish. I walked away a little traumatized and vowed never to return. I spent the next several days with sore, peeling cuticles and a bloodied spot on one that still is scabbed. So many other options out there!!!! I went to Friendly once before and was not impressed, but also not as brutal as this visit. Love this salon!!! I have been going here for several years and have always been completely satisfied. The employees are always very friendly and courteous. I get a pedicure every 2-3 weeks and the polish never chips. It's amazing!!!!!I have been to many nail salons before and haven't ever been as satisfied with their work like I am when I leave Friendly Nails. I frequently bring my 7 & 8 year old daughters with me to get their toes and hands painted and the employees are always so interactive and patient with them. In previous cases my daughters polish would chip after a few days but that is not the case anymore. I can't say enough great things about this place. I never feel like just a number and rushed out the door so they can get the next person in the chair. They take their time and offer a great customer experience with a smile!!!!! read more

Just got a pedicure. Haven't been here in years but still very nice place and very friendly people. Had a hot stone massage, at other places it would've cost me lots more. The lady that did it was very thorough and listened to my requests. The only think I really did not like was that they tried to up sale things I did not want (manicure, wax). read more

I have always experienced exceptional customer service here. While I was getting a pedicure a woman came in for an appointment. There was no record of the appointment. She became irate and the way the staff reacted was courteous and helpful. They checked the appointment book and looked through the store's phone log. awful. the worst place in texas to get mani pedis. i hope there's a place to leave pictures. it looks like a child did my nails and my friends nails and toes. the owner ben refuses to make it right. one of the employees called me a liar. this happened today .. a couple of hours ago. how am i the liar ? the nails that look like they need a filling already speak for themselves. the cut on my leg speaks volumes of the lack of experience. the $5 u to death. .. fyi a manicure is supposed to include cleaning up the dead skin and clipping the cuticle. .. not $5 extra for the cuticle. read more

I'm disappointed to write this review. Have been coming to this salon for 6 years. Twice I've left after a few bad fills (lifting after a few days, bad polish, etc), but returned because I was no happier elsewhere. A month ago I left again... after a really poor fill (the tech was way more concerned with their iPhone than completing my service. That having been said, I continued to visit FN for brow waxing, as they've always done a really good job. That changed today when I left with 2 completely different eyebrows. Seriously? I will not ever go to this place again !!!! A nail tech named Cindy cut my cuticles up and now I have sore hands. She was rude and refused to give me the managers number so I could speak to someone about her unprofessional attitude. Even the drill bits she got out for nails looked dirty. While looking at this review, I saw that some of these reviews were invalid or outdated and would like to give my rating along with my sister to this salon since its been long over due. My first and foremost response would be how clean and original their designs are! It's so exciting to see how different themes were made on certain holidays every time I come here. Did I mention about their nail polish self? It is to die for! Easy to access nail polishes while others are looking! The staffs are completely reasonable and understanding if I ever want to have a chat with them or just want to flip through magazines. Long story short, I just love love LOVE being at this nail shop! My only problem is that the shopping center is isolated with only Joel's Cafe next door (which is amazing by the way!) and hope they won't close down anytime soon. I would hate to see my favorite place close down. read more
