We love FPC great place ran by great people!! My kiddo has a great time and always asks to return. Family camp in the fall is a fun way for parents to also experience the camp life in a weekend.

The pros were that my kid liked the camp experience and their curriculum. The cons were that they had to mail the photo album (that I paid for in advance) to my house instead of giving it to my kid so that he could have his friends sign it like everyone else was doing at the time. Second. Lots of my kids clothes got lost even though I marked every piece clearly. Instead I got back lots of clothing that belonged to other kids and 2 pairs of adult underwear. HMMM!!

Open since 1941.

My daughter loves this camp!! And we drop her off, it's always a great vibe there…read more The counsellors are super attentive and caring. They really make you feel welcomed! The child's safety is taken seriously and the check in process covers important things like dietary restrictions, medications, etc. The cabins are super cute and clean. The bathrooms are kept tidy as well. They do a ton of activities each week so the kids are never bored. Can't wait for many more summers of fun!

In fact, I loved it so much I worked as a camp counselor there as soon as I was old enough. If you're looking for a good introduction to the outdoors then this camp is a great place to start. It's not fancy by any means, but that's the whole point of summer camp! Kids stay in 10-12 person cabins with a communal bathroom/shower area and there is a separate girls and boys village. There is a campfire ring in the middle of each village for evening get togethers and sing alongs. They have theme weeks, swimming, riflery, archery, arts and crafts, hiking, weekly dances, floor hockey, and tons of other daily classes depending on what's offerred. I'm sure things have changed some in the 10+ years since I worked there, but nonetheless this place holds a special place in my heart.

It was my first time at this particular camp and it brought back many memories of my camp days growing up. UCYC is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that is affiliated with the Independent Christian Churches in both Arizona and Nevada. UCYC (United Christian Youth Camp) started in the 1950s. UCYC has both summer and winter camps. They offer a number of activities for the kids. Activities include a zipline, swimming pool, basketball, paintball and archery. The campus is pretty large and includes a dining hall and main auditorium for larger gatherings. My only knock about this camp is the long walk from some of the cabins to the other side of camp where the dining hall is. Walking that far three times a day for food got old quick. But the food wasn't too bad for camp food. I am big fan of kids unplugging from their devices and going to camp to have fun and meet new friends. Some of my best times as a youth were at camp. It is a great place for kids to grow in their faith too. I had a blast being a leader and getting to know other leaders while I was here at UCYC.
