Stopped in the dry creek bed for a couple quick photos.

Phyllis was a wonderful guide and so full of knowledge about the area. Great 2 hour trail ride where we also saw Longhorn cattle. We will be back! Thank you!

We're going to have to go visit Foothills Ranch and take another ride SOON! I love this place. I don't know anywhere else you can go for a nice horse ride in the area. The horses are well-kept and cared for. They are well mannered and healthy. Our guide is always knowledgeable and kind. This is a relaxing, walk with animals in nature. I love it and we will be back again!

What a great adventure. We're both so glad we decided to go horseback riding at Foothills Ranch. Wes, Phyllis, and their crew were like being with family. They know their business and made sure everyone was safe. I loved the fact that they shared history and facts about the trails and the land. It was also super cool that they took great photos to help everyone capture memories of the beautiful experience. We will definitely recommend to others and we plan to go again.

This was a present from my wife to us both. What a great time and wonderful ride. Great care was given to all riders and lots of explaining along the ride. We will definitely be back for another ride with some friends.

We had such a great experience! Wes guided us on a great ride and told us lots about the area. The horses are well cared for and he was very knowledgeable of the area and led us through different terrains, explaining different features and showing us how to traverse them. He had a great sense of humor too!

We were camping in the Bloody Basin area for Spring Break and found Foothills Ranch close by, so my step-daughter and I scheduled a 2-hour ride. They are centrally located and have plenty of beautiful country to ride! We showed up early and the property was well kept and clean! We could tell the horses were well taken care of and loved. We had a friendly welcome by Wes, his staff, and the animals. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Wes adjusted our ride to what we wanted to do and our riding capabilities. We loved learning about the history of the area and hearing the stories of previous rides in the area. The views were beautiful and the horses were well trained and  behaved! We highly recommend Foothills Ranch and team, you will throughly enjoy yourselves! We will be back with our whole family.

Last time I rode a horse, my grandpa took me to the county fair where they put me on the back of the animal and led me around in circles. Foothills is not my grandpa's horse ride. With the care of my grandpa, however, Phyllis and Wes gas us three first time senior riders a wonderful experience on three of their many horses. We took trails down into creek beds (dried by this year's surprise heat), past few of the many mine shafts the have been filled in since the end of the gold rush and weaved through the cottonwoods and ground grown that makes this area trigger your inner cowboy. Miles was the perfect horse for me. He knew the trails but didn't always follow them but walked and galloped up some hills to give me thrills but not too many. My wife, who was apprehensive about riding a horse at first, didn't want to stop. We highly recommend Foothills Ranch.

Fantastic time! We chose this stable based on the reviews of Trip Advisor and we could not be happier. Phyllis and Wes are wonderful, welcoming and beyond friendly. My husband is 6'9 and most stables won't accommodate his height. Phyllis found a horse for him and she suggested we take the morning ride so the horse would be fresh and it not so warm out. Ny husband rode Larry and he was AMAZING! He did such a great job!  My teen daughters had a blast and we learned so much about the area, the fires, flooding, local wildlife and even saw a turtle! We had a fabulous time. They are close to Prescott, no frills stable and a very lovely family. We can't wait to come back.

    Great experience!

I took my six year old granddaughter here this morning and we had the MOST amazing time! I haven't been on a horse in almost 30 years and Phyllis, the owner/guide, gave us perfect horses. The area is gorgeous, people wonderful, and the memories- priceless. I highly recommend Foothills Ranch for everyone.

Wonderful morning ride. Great horse and the guides/owners are very nice and super helpful. I was nervous but they were patient. You need to wear long pants otherwise you'll end up with lots of scratches! They have helmets and hats. You can carry you phone in a pouch on the horse. Wear your sunglasses and sunscreen!

I really wanted to go horse back riding today and decided to come here since they were the only ones with availability today after I got jerked at Park view in Islip. The lady seemed to have an attitude over the phone but I wasn't going to let that stop my plans. Once I arrived I saw a regular house then found out it's a private home that is next to preserves. I was told to pull up in front of gate and was unsure if I should wait or go in. I decided to wait since I saw her saddling horse. Katherine was nicer in person and seems to care about her horses. I rode Bandit who was behaved well but the actual trail wasn't people friendly lol. The trail wasn't cleared of logs on ground and the branches were hanging low so I had to bob and weave. I got smacked on face which caused a small cut and scraped on arm and hand. Other than that it was a nice stroll since I love horses. Couldn't really trot or run due to trail not being clear. I was told the price was $50 for hour then was charged $55 on pay pal. I don't plan on returning but I'm glad I was able to ride a horse today

Unfortunately, this seems to be the business model for everybody lately. It's unfortunate and most likely we will not return. We were really hoping to find a farmers market where we could get fresh fruits and vegetables at a decent price but I'm not gonna pay to go in and pick and then have to pay for that too. My family of six all came away happy and grateful for the experience. For a while, it felt like the world slowed down, and we were fully present together with Red and Flash. Andrea is a highly skilled and experienced facilitator who guided us with care, building trust and intuitively adapting to our family's needs throughout the session. We were enchanted by the horses and loved how Andrea was able to help us connect with them in a way that was personal to our own circumstances. To my surprise, my husband--who has never spent time with horses and who does not call himself "spiritual"--was probably the one who was most affected by the experience, as it helped him reflect on how he wants to approach his upcoming retirement. He says that he'll think back on his experience with Red and Flash often, as he navigates his way in this new stage of life.
