Yes it's predominantly a kids' summer camp but adults have very different needs food-wise. Pizza, chicken nuggets and having fried potatoes on repeat doesn't cut it. And the portions were absolutely abysmal. Yes you can go up for seconds, but the service could have been more at the get go. You're feeding folks that have been rappelling, rock climbing, paddling, hiking and fishing all day!! We needed something more nutritious and appropriate for adults!!

It's not fancy by any means, but that's the whole point of summer camp! Kids stay in 10-12 person cabins with a communal bathroom/shower area and there is a separate girls and boys village. There is a campfire ring in the middle of each village for evening get togethers and sing alongs. They have theme weeks, swimming, riflery, archery, arts and crafts, hiking, weekly dances, floor hockey, and tons of other daily classes depending on what's offerred. I'm sure things have changed some in the 10+ years since I worked there, but nonetheless this place holds a special place in my heart.

The prices are reasonable and the activities are great (ropes course, two zip lines, a pool, a ball field, a fire area, archery). Now, you'd be downright silly to expect first class amenities from this place. It is a baptist camp in the woods, so there are bugs and dirt all over the place. Don't be weird, and enjoy the place for what it is, an awesome camp.

The prices are very reasonable and the stock was not your average thrift store stock. They had some very unique and top end items. On top of enjoying a treasure hunt in a well organized and clean environment the money you spend helps animals in need. Make it one of your pop in spots. You never know when your next treasure is waiting which may just be a friendly visit and good conversation with the staff!

More recently, the price was marked UP to $99. Who do you think is going to spend $100 at a thrift store on a previously owned leather coat? You know you'll just get more stuff donated that you could sell? You're not a boutique, you are a thrift store. It's a treasure hunt, and you've pre- priced out the treasure. Also, Faded Glory, No Boundaries, and Time and True are WALMART brands. Why are you putting these items on the expensive, quality and vintage side? $6 for a walmart sweater? Give me a break. Same with Target brands. I would just shop there if I wanted those crappy things. Some of the old women volunteers could be friendlier. That leather coat is still there. This was my favorite thrift for years and years, not as much now. I love helping the animals, but I will take my donations to CCJ since they sell EVERYTHING at thrift prices, and help people.
