i've been coming here a few years and just noticed them on Yelp. i saw 1 star so i need to help…read morethese guys out. 1. a 'weigh machine' is called a scale. the scale is right in front so i don't know how Tee missed it. it also weighs in 0.1 increments so the hundredths she saw were in her head. these guys are usually there 10 minutes early, but sometimes get there right at 9 and take 5 minutes to open the gate and put the baskets out. if you're time is that valuable that you can't wait 5 minutes you probably don't do your own recycling. 2. there is a SD county weights and measures seal on the scale display, it is regulated and enforced very strictly. I'm glad Tee won't be back, less wait time for me.

He watched me load the recycling in the dirty trash cans they set out and then later brought out wire baskets telling me to reload again. I questioned and was about to put all the recycling back in my truck, when he started to transfer items to the basket. Third, the weigh machine is positioned far from customers view, but I'm pretty sure I saw a 1.36, yet this guy only reported. 1.26 in recycling. These businesses should be regulated including that customers are able to see the weigh machine. I guess I need to look into that. Needless to say, I won't return.

So I was going to ask if there was a drastic change in prices at window, but it was like the girl heard us talking about in on camera because as soon as I put ticket down, she grabbed it and said " I will be right back" we waited for about 3-5 minutes she finally comes back and says "sorry about the wait, but I saw you were not credited correctly, your new total is 74.56" I said oh good because I was going to ask why it was much lower than normal, but ho did that happen? She said " sometimes, they rush and punch in whatever." We left having even more questions. How or why are they " just able to punch in whatever they want?" Isn't it all computerized? Aren't they supposed to weigh our items and whatever the weight is, is what should be printed out? This has me concerned they are not weighing honestly? Is this suspicious?

Which I thought was cool because the Fry's store I bought it at also has free electronics recycling in it's parking lot every Saturday and Sunday from 9-5. I want to thank Fry's for offering this service to it's customers. It is run by EcoRanger Electronic Recycling which is a company that specializes in electronic waste and collection and removal. They also offer free pick up of TV's, printers, cords, computers, medical equipment and scrap metal. Employee Brandon Ranger mans the Fry's recycling center off Aero Drive and is very efficient and capable. He keeps those cars dropping off old TV's and computers moving along nicely. This is a very important service as electronic cast outs as trash are full of all kinds of toxic chemicals which DO NOT belong in our landfills. And the chief aim of EcoRanger Recycling is to take these unusable computers, monitors, cell phones, and other outdated electronics and make sure that none of the hazardous waste that is part of the electronics stays out of the waste stream. 5 YELP STARS for that!
