Wow, this place is amazing! They take E-waste and the usual glass, plastic and aluminum. Wine bottles are all good and they are even okay with the plastic caps left on bottles (some places are not). The blue, holy containers are for plastic and aluminum and there is a separate grey bin one for glass. It's such a quick and efficient process to sort out the recycling -- turn it in and get your ticket -- exchange your ticket for cash all in the same day and place! The staff are also very friendly and the cashier who helped was very kind and sweet. I highly recommend this place for your recycling needs and the pay out is pretty decent. I have only one experience with these folks and it went perfectly. After many calls around the county I was getting frustrated trying to recycle an old toaster oven. I had it in the car and was headed for the county dump when I saw these guys, stopped and asked if they took things like this and they came right over and grabbed it out of the back seat. Green-Go Recycling defrauds their customers by deducting a percentage for incidental (not excess) liquid in aluminum beverage cans. This is illegal according to the state recycling office, who recommended I forward my complaint to the county weights and measures office. When I questioned the deduction, the response of the cashier was "it's only (the amount deducted)", as if I shouldn't mind having money I already paid as a an incentive to recycle taken from me. The operator showed me the "excess liquid" by spinning the container, which looked like it had been doused with water. These are empty cans, not plastic water bottles. For many years, I've done my recycling at a recycling center deep in Poway, but it's not conveniently located to where I live. Today, I tried Green-Go Recycling for the first time, which probably is as far as the other place I go, but it's mainly freeway and surface streets to get there. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and will definitely visit again based on my positive experience. Green-Go is located in Escondido where I took the 15 North freeway and exited off of 9th Ave/Auto Parkway. If you're familiar with where the Target shopping center is located, Green-Go is within close proximity. There is an abundant amount of parking for you to empty your recyclables. For a recycling center, it was clean. I thought it was well organized and completely understandable on what you needed to do to turn over your recyclables to their employees. I was impressed with the customer service from Green-Go's employees from the gentleman who answered my question about what bins to grab, to the young man who helped me with my recycling assortment, and finally to the kind young lady who paid me. My other recycling center opens at 9am, so I was happy about Green-Go opening at 8:30am. I made sure to get there early to beat the rush and I was glad I did, but I was told on Saturdays, it's packed early in the morning. All the different bins you need are neatly organized. I grabbed the blue bins with wheels for my plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and miscellaneous plastics. Once I was done filling them, I rolled them to the customer friendly young man to have them weighed. Once he was done, he provided me with a receipt to take around the corner of the building to get paid. I felt like what I got for what I recycled was comparable to my other location I've used for years. This entire process from start to finish was fast and seamless. The Poway recycling center isn't as spacious as Green-Go and it's kind of out of the way. I had an awesome experience from the large parking area, the memorable customer service, and the expedient process. I believe I've found my go to recycling center. read more

I've been to many recycling places and these guys are awesome. I've been treated kindly each time, they are very good about making the process easy and seamless. Park your car, grab your bins (the regular trash can for glass) and get to going. After your stuff is weighed and priced, you take the receipt around the corner to the back office and boom you get paid. I hope these guys stay in business for a long time. Every single time I've dropped off my recyclables, every employee from the ones taking and weighing, to those emptying the trash bins, to the cashiers have always been extremely pleasant. BE AWARE OF THE PRICE THEY PAY FOR YOUR CANS! I've visited here several times and each time I noticed they reduced the aluminum price due to "wet cans". The first few times I wasn't aware of the deduction until I was already in the cashier line. I make it a point to fully empty my cans and keep them dry before I bring them in. Today they discounted my cans due to "metal contamination". WTF? Expecting to see the usual "wet can" deduction instead, I called him on it. I understand the purpose of these deductions if they are valid. I feel if you are going to apply a deduction to the customer that employee should be up front and show the customer the issue. This makes the customer aware of the deduction so they can prevent it in future visits. I also feel the customer should be able to see the "zero" on the scale before they weigh your cans. For some reason they don't provide this. I think the Department of Weights and Measure would be interested in knowing about this. read more

First time here. Rolling baskets and friendly staff, awesome introduction to this business. Very clean place, a worker sweeping the parking lot as we arrived. Alright this place is a joke just like the manager Jose. He is rude and disrespectful to not only customers but his coworkers as well. I have been coming here for a while now but ever since that " manager " was given that role things went down hill. I can't believe the owner saw something in that guy cause he's just letting this guy get rid of all his customers. He says that he's the owner when he's getting confronted which is a lie. I came here because I guess the one off mission closed in Escondido. And boy am I glad I did. I came in through the front to have a man greet me and kindly direct me towards back, then I met another guy out back who told me he would help me when I was ready and granted, even tho I'm a girl and would most likely assume that's why I'm getting the fair treatment, no way because the guy next to me was also treated in the same fashion. I ended up also getting a bit more money here too which was nice, and you don't have to take the caps off. Just one thing though- they don't pay for wine bottles so you can bring them, they'll recycle but no dinero for the vino! Just saying! read more

This is my go to place because it's close to my house and ,although it gets crowed, their service is friendly and quick. I usually take 2 big bags of stuff and get close to $20. I went today with the same amount and only got $14, so yes, they may not be the highest payers, but if you are just doing it for the environment and not necessarily the money, it's a great choice. read more
