I brought over 400lbs of material here which required a metal bin the yard Boy with a fork lift put a empty metal bin on the scale that had 775lbs painted side. I was shown the he scale which read 642lbs the weigh. Boy with white spray paint crossed out the 776lb and painted 642lbs Need less to say my materials cam up 134lbs short. This place is dirty bad business practices and needs to be shut done.. the BBB is my next stop. read more

The younger guy from this recycling center is a good guy he tried to give me a fair price for my metal since it was 2 types of metal 80lbs I'm steel and 40 I'n stainless still the older guy was very rude and is a crook he robbed me of 40lbs of stainless steel said that it's gonna be to much labor and that he's not gonna give me the 40 lbs of stainless steel because of the labor to take it off which is only 4 screws this guy is a crook and robbing the spring valley community of our hard work and time to produce these metal I 100% don't recommend this company and once again the youngest worker is fair and a great guy and wanted to give me the money I deserved but the older man owner is a straight crook and should not be trusted in our spring valley community o stars all the way read more

Last time I dropped off a radiator there I received over 50 bucks this time when I went by myself with out a man the assholes gave me $2.52. OK every time I take in my CRV I feel like I'm getting screwed. Well this time I can prove it. I pre-counted and pre-weighed everything, took it in and low and behold they scam me out of 10% of my CRV. Without being too specific it was pretty much across the board with the aluminum being the closest at a 2% take. Service here sucks! No where to park.. Can't ever understand a word anyone says and the Staff are always real grouchy .

We have been going to Troy Recycling for many years. It used to be that we would fill smaller trash cans with all of our recycles; glass plastic and aluminum cans all separated then take them up to get weighed in the larger blue or white barrels. They would then clear out the scale to zero and pour the smaller trash cans into the large cans. Well, the past two weeks we have brought a truck load each week filled with recycles. They told us to not fill the small trash cans but put the recycles directly into the large barrels. The guy takes an empty barrel and zeros it out then takes my full barrel and puts it on the scale. The problem is, every barrel is a different size and weight. I was clearly being cheated on all my barrels so on one of the last barrels I told the guy I wanted him to zero it out then pour mine into the one he zeroed out. Then after he was done I put my empty barrel on the scale and it was 2.6 lbs less weight than the one the guy claims was the same size! I would have gotten cheated out of 2.6 lbs of plastic on just that one barrel full of plastic recycles. Who knows how much I got cheated in the past two weeks. figure between 1 and 3 lbs per barrel times 1.16 per pound of plastic and 15 barrels. This made me mad. I have always been careful to go through all the recycles before we take them pouring out any water or other liquid left in any of the bottles. I have also crushed down bottles and cans. I'm honest and I take the time to do what is right and these people are blatantly DISHONEST and cheating people. Probably every person who comes in there is getting cheated. Seems like everywhere I go these days there are people trying to cheat other people and I'm getting sick of it! Thank goodness there are wevsites like Yelp where customers can warn others about such things and also tell ouhers about good places to go. Time to find another recycle place that doesn't cheat everyone. This place has crosses up and they pretend to be honest and to be believers in Christ. They should be ashamed of themselves!
