I hesitated, because I wanted to do my homework on their work. Needless to say, I eventually went into an agreement with this person against my gut feeling. First it took him about an entire week almost to drain my pool, (that should have been my first clue). Then when it did drain, he did not start on my pool for at least a couple days. He did finally do a once over chlorine wash, which I said well ok; now we are getting somewhere. Acid wash was supposed to be next, but after the chlorine wash he just kept on delaying and telling me his equipment broke, it is too windy, and just excuse after excuse. Long story short, this person took me for my deposit, did not finish the job, and I finally told him to just come back for his equipment as my pool was empty without water for well over 2 weeks almost 3. I should of gone with my gut feeling from the get go, but well here I am now with a bad service, hardly any communication... Well I guess he got a good payday for just draining my pool, a measily chlorine wash and no effort to make it right...I strongly advice against using this company, because once he gets your big deposit, he will make up excuses and will not finish the job!! They stated he lost phone . but could not afford a burner or replacement so there was no answer on any numbers provided one brother stated truck was broken. Brother stated he had ten customers per-day, if so they had 60 clients .If truly professional they'd rent a truck and or give a factual date when personal truck would be repaired. Pool water could be checked with transportation of a car or motorcycle and most customers like myself have brush net equipment and in fact could store chemicals till they got on their feet. There are a lot of sketchy businesses out there. However I have to say Eric put me at ease. I had a lot going on at the time he arrived and didn't know what to expect. Were they going to do the job correctly? What was the process? Was I going to get overcharged? I have has so many bad experiences this month and really did not want another. I have to say... they came... worked hard... and Eric addresses all my concerns and will most likely be back.... again and again. They definitely have a repeat customer. This pool was not the worst, but definitely not the easiest and I just got here 30 days ago and paying to clean up someone elses mess for the past 10 years. They did not complain. They did not stop. Upsold me on draining pool and power washing, and then replaced my pump with a 1hp, non variable speed, which by the way I've learned is ILLEGAL in ca. Very inefficient. sneaky tactic. Then has tried to blame the filter, and tried to upsell me on a filter, which has never been a problem in the 8 years I've had it. Buyer beware. Told him the pump is inefficient, as I had a 2 hp prior. He denies it, of course. Told him I needed a comparable pump , and then tried to sell me a 2k one. Yeah, no thanks. Now im out a lot of $$$. skimmer barely sucks, so vacuuming debris is not an option. pump is inadequate, and im going to have to replace it with a more efficient pump. Im sure if you have the $ to waste to upgrade everything, go for it, with caution, but if you're on a budget be very diligent. I do not recomend.
