I truly enjoyed the shots it was nothing I've ever tasted and I went looking for the bottle in stores. It truly can be paired up to make a great old fashioned. I wasn't a fan of the marshmallow and iced chocolate drink. I didn't taste any liquor I was disappointed however, when I shared my feedback with the bartender I didn't enjoy it he made the drink elephant in the room which was wayy better. For a spot where the drinks are full price I expect to be truly impressed from the cocktail options.

I was especially excited because during Christmas time it was decorated as a Grinch-themed bar, which was super cute and festive. The drinks were very pretty and well-presented, but flavor-wise they just didn't really do it for me. The music also kind of threw me off -- it was much more vulgar than I expected, which I know fits a younger Miami vibe, but it felt like a bit much for my taste and didn't match the holiday theme I was excited for. The bartender seemed a little uninterested, and I wasn't a fan of the cocktails being pre-made, which took away from the experience for me. Overall, I love the idea and creativity behind the space, but it just didn't fully land for me. Glad I tried it, just not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Alex our instructor was fun, engaging, and an intelligent instructor that broke the dances down for even beginners to follow easily. We first had bachata lesson at 8pm, followed by complimentary mojito and Cuban bites, then wrapped up with salsa lesson at 9:20pm. I wished salsa lesson was a full hour, followed by more fun salsa dancing with instructor dancing alongside (you know, cuz regular student folks won't keep dancing salsa on their own without pros' boosting presence) because afterwards everyone pretty much stopped dancing salsa after the last song after lesson ended. Then it was regular club time. Good vibe and we had fun. The wristband we got allowed free entry to the club downstairs so we could enjoy the cabaret performance and backstage live music band a bit too. Overall I would recommend Alex and Salsa Mia without any reservation for anyone with an open mind looking to have a good dancing time! Try it - don't be scared as there's no need to be! Gracias Alex!

Music spills out onto the sidewalk, the staff greets you like long-lost cousins, and the Colombian food? It punches above its weight. Ceviche that snaps with citrus and heat. The food was okay at best, honestly probably the weakest part of the whole experience. But that's not really why you go. The live music, the open dance floor, the whole vibe and atmosphere here is top notch. Came here for my birthday week and had such a fun, amazing time. We were thoroughly engaged with the band the whole night, they even handed us instruments to play along with at one point, which is not something that happens at most restaurants. Service was great, and the staff genuinely seemed to be having as much fun with us as we were having with them. Come for the party, not the plate, and you'll leave happy.
