We came across Frijoles! While trying to find something to eat that was not nearby the Niagara Falls or that was different than all the same expensive stuff they sell around the Niagara Falls. Food was delicious! We were a group of about 8 people and nobody complained about how delicious everything was. We thought it was like a copy of Chipotle at first, but when you start eating and tasting their mouthwatering topics, well cooked meats, and the delightful combinations they have and original flavors you realize it is actually better than the mentioned above. This place is full of appetizing, flavorful food. Gotta try it!!!!!! Ps: I gave it 4 stars because service was a little slow, my only complaint. They had to swap people on the serving line cause one person was falling behind with all the orders. But again, food is totally worth the time!!!!

This place is a mom and pop style chipotle burrito establishment. I love that they have sweet potato as a vegetarian option. The decor was very Hawaiian tropics/beach themed. I enjoyed the food.

$14.99 for a bowl or burrito. Their website needs to be updated. I decided to try this place because of the good reviews. We ordered chicken Bowls. The chicken looked very bland, I couldn't tell if it was boiled or grilled. Plenty of toppings to choose from, rice, beans, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, corn and sauce. We got the garlic jalapeño sauce. Sauce tasted good, but just wasn't enough to deliver any flavor to the bowl. I was hoping from something better than Chipotle, but unfortunately this place was not up to the challenge.

Chicken tacos with corn tortilla! Very tasty.

Hola Frijoles! Based on Yelp reviews, we set off on a grand adventure from the Niagara Falls tourist bubble to real Canada! Frijoles did not disappoint! A unique local spot with courteous and friendly staff welcomed us. Frijoles is on the end of a strip mall, set back 1/2 block. The menu is small but mighty: tacos, rice/beans, and burritos as the main attraction. Multiple salsas and toppings make your meal one of a kind. The chips and guacamole are a nice side item too! The most filling and largest item is the burrito. Very good! The tacos are good, especially with shaved cabbage. Shrimp and rice with three different beans was interesting combination. I would get any of those again! Burrito is the biggest item by far, so if you're really hungry, go for the burrito. Tacos were tasty but I needed a side of chips to round out the meal. A 4.5 in my book. I'm glad we stopped, it was a great lunch.

We were looking for some kind of food adventure besides from your typical food fare in Niagara Falls. And we came across this small taco and burrito place away from Cliffton Hills. The place was small with seating for just about 20 people. Their menu was very simple just tacos and burrito. You pick your protein, then your vessel and your toppings. Simple enough. We got trio tacos, chicken quesadilla and beef burrito. Trios tacos: was pretty decent, i found that the corn tortilla started to get soggy after a while. Flavours were good though Chicken quesadilla: was a decent size, packed with so much toppings and chicken Beef burrito: was gigantic, very filling and good flavours. Packed to the brim with beef and toppings. I would say it was good enough to satisfy our mexican craving. But this restaurant is no where close to being authentic, considering i have had authentic tacos and burritos in Los Angeles. If you are craving mexican food and not wanting to go to Taco Bell i would recommend this spot. Nice and friendly staff and decent mexican fare.

Best food, great staff. Give it a try you will not regret it. Place to eat inside, take out available, Reasonably priced. ENJOY

Great Mexican style fast food in a plaza a 10 minute drive away from the Niagara Falls. We ordered the trio fish tacos and a bean and cheese burrito. The burrito was huge and satisfying. I liked that they put 3 different types of beans and had some unique topping options, such as pickled cabbage. The fish tacos were tasty but the fish became soggy - so finish this first if you're ordering/sharing multiple times. At the food handler's recommendation, we had put cilantro lime sauce on the tacos and it was delicious. Service stood out to me for being so friendly, especially for a fast food place!

Line-ups and great yelp reviews never lie... and today at Frijoles! The food spoke for itself. I understand why the "exclamation mark" at the end of frijoles (which by the way means BEANS in Spanish)....its for "HOLY FRIJOLES BATMAN, THESE TACOS ARE AMAZEBALLS!" And they are. Try the burritos, they're great too! The pulled-chicken is so good, you almost forget its chicken. Its not overly cooked or dry but juicy and perfectly seasoned. Their white lightning salsa is ridiculous....like whats in it? Can I know? I won't tell anyone, I promise. (it looks like mayo but tastes like hot sauce... this is gonna bug me). I am going back- that's a promise! And at those prices who can complain. Under $10 for a satisfyingly delicious meal. Thanks Frijoles! But for real, what's in the sauce?

I drove down to Niagara Falls on to visit family and over dinner the night before we got to talking about Mexican food and my love for a good burrito...Light bulbs went on over their heads and they said there was no way I was leaving before trying a burrito from Frijoles! Fresh Mex burritos. Next day we drove to this small corner restaurant, just another hidden gem amongst many I have seen so far since moving to Southern Ontario. The interior is casual and festive with cheap, hilarious decor with a blowup boat in one corner. The menu is small and written on a chalkboard and on a paper behind glass at the cashier. The place is counter service where you place your order and then work your way down the line adding rice, beans, meat, veggies, cheese, guacamole, salsa, etc., to your meal. I ordered the Chicken Burrito, whole wheat wrap for me, skipped on rice and went straight for the pinto beans. Pulled chicken was loaded on and then proceeded to add cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo, guac and my choices of Salsa Verde and Red Ringer hot sauce. Yum! With my mouth wide open I watched them wrap up my masterpiece and throw it on the cooktop to give it some warmth and a slight crunch on the outside. My first bite was was a burst of excitement, I didn't say a word... The next bite was even louder in my mouth as I got even more of the goodness stuffed inside. Now warning to future patrons...This baby is huge so come hungry! I don't know how I did it but I managed to finish it AND down a bottle of their delicious grapefruit Jarritos Mexican soda. I was satisfied, but also ordered, was a side of homemade corn chips, small round corn discs that you can break into smaller pieces for dipping in guacamole and your choices of salsas. I had to try them! Oh and awesome guacamole! Chunky just the way I like it! This place rose the bar for what I expect in any burrito i will consume again. I give the burrito 5 stars alone! Other items on the menu include soft tacos, quesadillas and a mexi-salad. It's not a licensed restaurant so don't expect any fun Mexican adult drinks, but whether it's your quick stop to pick up lunch or a sit down visit for dinner, I recommend this place. Unfortunately, it's not a chain and they don't have any sister restaurants at this time. Guess I'll have to come back soon!

Hurt locker for the spice lovers!

Great food for tex-mex lovers We almost missed the place! It is a small place 10 mins from niagara The options for filling were great, the people behind the counter were super friendly we had out fill and it was delicious! How to get this to 5? Make your own nachos, don't use Doritos, more guacamole please? That would make it perfect!

My husband and I decided to give this place a try last night after having looked at the menu and thinking that it sounded really interesting. At around 7:45pm we headed to the restaurant and were seated almost immediately. We were given menus and a drinks menu. We noticed that the restaurant was quite empty, perhaps 30% full. We looked around and saw several servers strolling around. We took a look at the drinks menu and decided that we'd have a couple of cocktails with our appetizers. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. Although many servers walked past us and talked with people at a table only a few feet away, not one person approached us. After almost 15 minutes without even being acknowledged we put our coats on and left. We did tell the host on our way out and he said "oh, sorry" but admittedly we didn't wait to hear what else he had to say as we were fed up. For a new business, which wasn't at all busy and had several servers walking around with nothing to do, I really don't think there was any excuse for this. Had they been busy, then we would of course have understood why someone didn't get to us sooner. We were extremely disappointed and won't be recommending this restaurant.

We ordered Elota (Nachos with Corn and cheese dip) to start. We loved the dip. For main course we had grilled vegetable Enchiladas and Qasedilla. I loved both dishes. Especially Enchiladas. It was out of this world. One of the best Enchiladas, I ever had. I am defineitly coming back here every time I come to Niagara Falls.

Burger was well done but the taste was great. One sister ordered the soup/salad combo, the soup of the day was a tomato bisque, she said it was delious. The bacon cheddar burger ordered in our party was excellent served with fried onions instead of raw. All in all i woukd come again. Claudia was great.

Chicken was dry but the rest of the bowl was good and flavorful. We also ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl: marinated ahi tuna, coconut rice, mango, sesame edamame, cucumber, avocado, pickled carrots, sliced radish, sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha aioli. I got it decompressed as I have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the ingredients didn't seem fresh. Mango mushy, green onions brown, cucumbers dried up, carrots brown. We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. We were really hungry and disappointed with their food as we picked this place out of many since their Google reviews seemed high. They offered to remake our meals but we had to go.

This was the first and last time I will ever come to this taco place…read more Nice start to review, don't you think? So we walk in it's not that bad of a looking place inside. They only except credit cards and debit cards, no cash. They are way over priced, and I do mean way over priced. $16 for my three little tacos, which were not even good ,sorry to say. $17 for my son's chicken quesadilla. I took a bite of it and now that was good, not worth $17 but it was good. He should gotten two quesadillas for that price. My other son and my other son's girlfriend both got the homestyle tacos and they looked OK and my son says that he thinks it was almost worth the $15 but still that is really a lot of money for those little normal size tacos. When your food is done, they call your name which you can't even hear it unless you're standing right by the cashier area. So you can't just go and sit down like I was doing, you have to stand right there and wait, which is kind of a pain in the butt ,cause you get in anybody's way who comes there to order some food. Most people are coming in and then leaving, I'm guessing due to the " card only" rule. It wasn't a real comfortable place to be in And like I said, my food was not very good and it was $16 which is pretty crazy for three little tacos. I don't know if the chicken was good or not. I'll find out in a little while. I'm sure. Lol. But no, I will not be returning there.

I was disappointed they didn't really have much in the way of vegetables for the racks and burritos it was mostly meat and cheese which hey is great but not the healthiest thing. Inside was very loud and packed. The biggest issue though was the staff member who all but shoved me out of the way to refill his cup and then went back in the kitchen. Gave me a dirty look for being in his way and barged right in front of me without saying a word. It was shockingly bad customer service and it's enough that I will not be returning.
