This property is set up like a timeshare-style resort, with clusters of buildings, multiple pools, hot tubs, and direct beach access. The location itself is lovely, and the grounds are well maintained and very walkable. Every morning we took long walks through the property and along the beach, passing beautiful homes and neighboring resorts, which made for a really peaceful start to the day. We stayed in one of the newer buildings, and the two-bedroom, two-bath unit was spacious and very comfortable. It had everything you'd want for a longer stay--full kitchen, dishwasher, laundry, balcony, and covered parking in a secure garage. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were great, and I appreciated having a ceiling fan and a window that could open for fresh air. Those small touches matter when you're settling in for several days. The pool and hot tub areas were nice, especially at the building farther from the beach, which felt quieter and less crowded. The hot tub in particular was fantastic--large, hot, and with strong jets that did wonders for sore muscles after a day of walking. Being able to go from the hot tub straight into a cool pool was a real treat. Now, a realistic note: We visited during spring break, so the energy level was high and very family-oriented. Lots of kids, lots of noise--which is totally expected for a resort like this. I don't dislike kids at all, but if you're someone who prefers a quieter, adults-only vibe, just know this is very much a family destination. An adults-only pool would have been a welcome option. A few other observations that might help future guests: * The trolley system runs roughly 9-5, which is convenient for getting around the property. * Direct beach access is a big plus, but renting chairs and umbrellas can be pricey and requires online reservations. * Bike rentals are available but also on the expensive side. * Most amenities come with an added cost--nothing unusual for a resort, but worth planning for. Service-wise, the staff was responsive. They offer a text-to-concierge system, which is convenient. When I asked for certain items, they couldn't provide them directly but did offer housekeeping assistance, which I appreciated. As for the room itself, everything was clean and functional. The shower pressure could have been stronger, and the tub area looked like it had some recent caulking work, but nothing that affected the overall comfort of the stay. Bottom line: This is a solid, comfortable beach resort with good value for the space and amenities, especially for families or groups traveling together. It's not ultra-luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises--a safe, well-maintained place to relax near the ocean. For me, the best part of the trip was simply being with friends, enjoying the beach, and having a comfortable home base to unwind. And if you plan to do a lot of walking or hiking around the property, take it from me--bring proper moisture-wicking socks. Your feet will thank you later.

The pools on this property are very nice. They have one that is "" heated under an awning; but that one was indeed very chilly, which honestly was fine because it was very hot out. I believe this resort is dog friendly however you're not allowed to have any dogs on the deck because the deck gets really hot and it burns their little paw pads. Service dogs are allowed however they have to be in a vest. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat here; my dad and I were so busy we didn't get a chance. This hotel literally is right on the beach; I do not know if most of the rooms are point only room rooms and then some rooms are a hotel room rooms- but whenever I want to book this property, every single room is full. This hotel is directly on the beach. It only takes maybe 5 to 10 minutes from walking into the hotel through the mangroves to the actual beach. Definitely worth staying here. 10/10

The food is delicious:) It also has many activities anyone can enjoy. Whether you want to get a swim in the pool, rent a cabana or walk on the beach it is entirely up to you. Even if you are feeling the vibes of a spa, you are in the right place! This is a great place to relax and unwind. I absolutely loved it! Our room was situated on the second floor at the back of the house. Each room has its own private bath. We also received vouchers to be used for breakfast at our choice of a couple of different eateries downtown. 607 Bay is easily within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the waterfront. The inn has delightful waterfront views itself. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony as well as our evening nightcap. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I had an appreciation for architecture, especially that of the previous century or two. This inn has that charm in spades. Though the essentials are updated as you can see from the pictures, the old wooden floors have a creak to them and the doors to the front of the house have notes on how to open them with ease. It's a charm that, to me, is priceless. Everything at the inn was well appointed. We had zero issues during our stay. If we're ever back in the area, staying here again would be an easy yes for us. There are so many beautiful courtyards to sit down and eat your breakfast or get a bottle of wine and enjoy the natural beauty and historic setting. This was my third visit and I would love to have the opportunity to go back, but I definitely don't want to stay in the same room.

Almost all of rooms are just modified duplexes/apartment buildings with shared entryways and balconies. We booked one room for almost $500 a night for a romantic evening and they tried to put us in a cheaper room thinking we would not notice. It was damp, moldy and I found a bug in the room. Once I complained that it did not match our reservation, they suddenly told us about an alleged A/C issue and tried to put us in a "better room". The furniture was damaged and the shower was moldy in that room and in NO way was this comparable to the reservation we made a month prior. Park passes, breakfast and bicycle rentals are "complimentary" but yet they charge you $18 a day resort fee to have access. I do not recommend staying here at all.

So much to see and do, beautiful area lovely planting and the Magnolia Tree is huge! Very lovely place to stay when you're in the area, very well priced, close to downtown and the river walk. From one hotel snob to another, this was definitely doable! (Especially if you're a boutique hotel lover). It almost gave boutique hotel vibes, but more family friendly.
