I checked in and as I was starting to fill out paperwork, I was called back. I was barely able to finish my paperwork when a tech collected me for x-rays. I waited less than 5 min to see Dr McNutt which I'm sure that was only due to him waiting to review my x-rays. He politely introduced himself and quickly examined my arms' mobility. Immediately he determined the source of my injury, gave me a shot of some sort to relax the inflamation. He prescribed physical therapy and sent me on my way. It was an amazingly fast visit and a huge relief that he diagnosed my issue as I was suffering for months just hoping it was basic soreness that would go away.

The next day, I got multiple calls and text messages from their office saying that they need to collect my insurance information. I wasn't able to answer right away and they kept calling over and over and leaving different messages, including one message that said my appointment was being canceled because my drivers license is expired (it isn't). I called them again and they confirmed my insurance is valid. Went in for the appointment and the receptionist tries to get me to "Self pay" and says I don't have valid insurance. Had to provide the insurance a 3rd time before they finally acknowledged it. I got as far as seeing the medical assistant. I showed her my most recent MRI and a stack of medical records going back 2 years. She quickly told me that the doctor wasn't going to be able to help me and I left. Never saw the doctor. Also their office is full of red flags, like advertisements for laser hair removal, ketamine injections, Regenexx ads all over the place (which is not a proven treatment and is experimental at best), something called the O-shot for woman sexual improvement. First couple appointments in April went fine, Dr Burgemeier prescribed an MRI scan for my left foot and referred me to ATI for physical therapy for my shooter's elbow, while getting me on an elbow brace for support. After reviewing the MRI scan he proposed tendon repair surgery for my foot (soccer injury) and I instantly said yes. But strangely he immediately said he is busy and if I want to do it soon, he can refer me to Dr Leroy Butler. I told him I am willing to wait but regardless he "referred" me to Dr Butler. I was told grace will handover my files to Dr butlers office & I will get a call from Dr Butlers assistant soon. A month passed by and no one called. So I called Texas sports medicine after a month asking for Dr Butler only to be told to there was no one by that name at this office. After giving my history of the previous visits I was told someone will call Me back. So Dr Burgemeier decided to pawn me off to another doctor in another practice and decided there was no need to even inform me of these details. No one called back from Texas Sports Medicine but I got a call From doctor butlers office (orthopedic institute of north Texas) to schedule a consultation appointment with him. At this point I had to ask if they got all my details from Grace at Texas sports medicine and she said all They got from Her was my name and phone number!!!!! While I was given the impression that all my details including MRI results would be handed over so that my surgery could be scheduled asap. Then an extremely rude lady claiming to be the office manager got on the phone to lecture me the procedure (or lack of one) of patient handovers from one practice to another giving me the bureaucratic red tape line. The sheer unprofessional behavior led me to cancel the appointment and call Texas Sports Medicine to get my medical records file so I can do the needful on my own while hunting for another surgeon - even For that I was given the run around and it took a few days before they were ready so I could go there to pick up My file. Once there I met Grace again and gave them a 2nd chance, told her I am Still willing to go with dr Burgemeier for my surgery - waited a week and still no call back. Anyways, looks like it all happened for the best. A week later I met another surgeon who is a college mate of dr Burgemeier but a real Professional and definitely a great doctor and better surgeon than Burgemeier. He did a great job assessing my foot and subsequently my foot surgery at Texas health resources. 2 & a 1/2 months have passed and I'm well on my way to a great recovery with post op followups ongoing No thanks to Texas Sports moochers

I tried explaining my pain which was more walked over and I was told we are going to look at my tendon. Regardless the pain I was talking about was rendered mute and now we are moving on to my tendon which causes pain as well, but not the most painful. When I say my shoulder joint feels loose and cracking that's what I mean. If we don't figure this out or the Dr look into this morning, I'm getting a second opinion for sure. Oh and I've been doing PT since before surgery, because that was going to fix it first. It's May 23 and the pain is worse than before.

Ortho Texas is inconsistent on whether or not its providers are in network. My insurance said a particulary provider was in network, the front desk indicated the provider was in network when I was seen, and my insurance and the members of the Ortho Texas staff have said the provider was in network. However, the claim was filed out of network, and the billing staff will not put collections actions on hold while my insurance investigates and is very inconsistent in returning phone calls. The billing staff takes a "too bad, so sad" attitude about healthcare affordabilty. My insurance has said that they filed under an incorrect ID and simply need to refile using the correct ID. Billings has said that they don't use that ID anymore so too bad. When considering providers, in network status is typically a component of seeking care, and Ortho Texas is inconsistent in its insurance status and discompassionate about resolving issues around that.

My husband liked him so much he suggested I try him. I called and spoke to his office, they were very helpful. I had my x-rays sent over from my previous chiropractic care so I didn't have to do x-rays again. Dr Stutz went over his assessment with me, he helped me understand how I was able to throw my back out over such a simple daily life task and explained that with the correct care hopefully we could prevent that from happening again. As it turns out one of the exercises I had been given from my previous care was not a good fit for my specific issue. I have since been given a couple of new exercises and I have been in to see Dr Stutz for multiple visits. My husband and I have very different back issues and we both require different care, Dr Stutz has helped/ is helping both of us feel better. My husband was initially drawn to Family & Sports Chiropractic due to the sports related specific care that could be given, he also plays soccer and loved that Dr Stutz provides care to the FC Dallas players as well. I, on the other hand, do not play sports of any kind and was honestly a little hesitant. Dr Stutz has always made me feel comfortable, it has not mattered one bit that I am completely unathletic. He has made me feel at ease for all of my care while still working to improve my condition. Also to note, which is very important to me, the office has always been friendly, is it easy to schedule visits and texting to the office number has always gotten a quick response. I had a specific request this last week which was graciously handled by the office and Dr Stutz.
