Was very disappointed with the food, Drove 20 min from Rio Rancho. I ordered a asada torta , asada burrito and elote . Drive all the way back home only to see The torta and burrito barely had any meat and I nvr got my elote. I called them and told them about my elote they said I was nvr charged for it ok but why didn't you tell me you didn't have any instead of saying yes when I ordered it. When I told them about the meatless torta and burrito they ignored that and kept bringing back the elote which I was over. Will nvr go back I rather take the trip to Don torta were the food is heavy on meat and much much tastier. read more

Ordered a carne asada torta and a carnitas gordita. Both items were good, but I can't say they were the best I have had. I liked the torta best. Probably would not order another gordita, It's not that the gordita was bad -- it wasn't and I ate all of it -- it's just that I would try something else. The lady inside was very nice and friendly. While here in Santa Fe, I had wanted to try a taco. I had ordered an al pastor and an carne asada. The tortillas were average texture. The carne asada had some decent flavor. The meat was tender. The al pastor was average. I could taste the little piece of the pineapple in the taco. But it could have had more flavor. All of the salsas were sitting submerged in a metal container full of water. I had to eat my tacos without any salsa. Disappointing. read more

Delicious menudo, perfect hangover cure! Served with bread instead of tortillas so soaks up banging broth. Lots of inards, no bones. One thing I could say is maybe serve with more cilantro and lime and onion and some chopped jalepeno, but thats probably my fault as I'm sure they would accommodate if i asked. 5 stars. This review is for the current version of El Rinconcito. The food is described as "estilo Df" - Mexico City style. It is amazing and delicious. This is my second time visiting since the change of ownership. I highly recommend the huaraches - either with carne asada or nopales - either way you can't go wrong. They also have sopes and tlyadus (I think). If this food cart was located in San Francisco or L.A. there would be a line to order. You can eat food like this downtown (near the plaza) for twice the price or try it out here. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. read more

Was going to go out for breakfast at one of the many famous Santa Fe spots but I was feeling a little lazy and wanted to just grab something to take back to the hotel room. I had seen the trailer when I pulled up and checked out the reviews here which were all good. I walked over from my hotel and got the bacon breakfast burrito with red chile. Hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. I could tell by the smell as it was cooking that it would taste amazing and it did. I will be trying more menu items before I leave! read more

I am SHOCKED at how wonderful the food is here!!! It is just a little trailer in a dive parking lot next to a massage parlor. Very clean,outside table has plenty of parking since it's in a parking lot. I am fortunate because my Wife speaks Spanish. I let her order for me. I look at the Chef (he is a Chef, not a Cook with the quality of this food) He was preparing everything from scratch! I mean scratch! He started from tossing the dough! I have no idea what my Wife ordered, but it was GREAT! They use some flavors and spices we did not recognize that had a different wonderful taste. I ordered a milk shake that was great. I didn't expect the food to be this great. Just remember, this is not a Roach Coach ! He makes it all fresh from fresh ingredients, so you have to wait, but the wait is worth it. Eat there before it gets known and the chef can't cook from scratch because of the popularity. read more

I drove down Cerillos trying to figure out what to grab for a quick, solo dinner. El Parasol had closed before I could get there. Then I spotted El Rinconcito Del Sabor and I pulled into the lot, thinking What The Heck! A family was enjoying dinner together at the large table adjacent to the trailer and they looked quite happy with the food. The menu was prominently displayed and looked great. Everything was clean and I could see the cook taking care to put on and take off food-prep gloves, as necessary. So I thought, yep, this is where I'll have dinner. The tacos adobada (4 small tacos for $8) were delicious. I wasn't sure what to order so next time I will have to branch out. And there will be a next time. read more

Excellent food .... flavor is a Understatement.... hotel clerk recommended it over all the local chains ... it's a small lunch truck but looked clean , they have sanitizer out all over and wear hair nets ... didn't have any soups on menu available & closed earlier than hours stated night prior only complaints ... definitely recommend nice to support the small businesses read more

Was disappointed when I couldn't find Jarochos on Cerillos during my last trip to Santa Fe. But found Rinconcito on Cerillos and was amazed at the quality of the food at this little stand. Ate there twice in two days, and the carnitas burritos were huge and perhaps the best I've ever had---and this includes my fave taquerias in San Francisco's Mission District. Yes, don't miss the Shed and La Choza, but hit Rinconito once or twice for takeout. read more
