Since I cannot take any NSAIDS and am resistant to opiates, this little device has enabled me to do more than I have in 25+ years! There are even times I can turn it off for a day or so!! Now I am working on getting approved for a second implant to go up into my neck helping me exist with obliterated shoulders, torn biceps, carpal tunnel which has returned after three surgeries, etc. I cannot say enough about Dr's Belmonte and Lee. Together they have been trying to get me some relief thru procedures (epidurals, facet injections, SI Joint injections, etc.). Relying on procedures for over 20 yrs has not allowed me to manage my pain myself. Utilizing my implant has given me some control and management of my pain. Out of network means I would be paying more and certain injections would not be covered. I was considering the PRP injections on one knee and the Stemforce on the surgical knee. I had ACL revision in my knee in 2002. Trying to avoid surgery. It would be $6500 for both knees since insurance companies don't cover it, even if I was in network. My original evaluation went well and I was looking forward with moving forward. Back to the drawing board. They really need to get the insurance squared away before making appointments. Edit: As far as transparency goes, another clinic verify insurance from the start. I had the consultation on a Thursday and when I returned on Monday for PT I was not informed that I was not in network until I questioned the higher copay. I should have been contacted by them once they knew I was not in network. One of the doctors commented about covered injections I would be paying out of pocket. I'm reaching out to another similar company and they will check on coverage from the start.
