We met him for breakfast and discussed what was needed. We used apple notes to leave a list of what he needed to take care of the dogs and he was up front with the price. He stayed with the dogs for 4 days. Fed them, walked them and made sure they were fine. Sent us pictures while we were on the trip and that made us happy. He also cleaned up the yard. We didn't even ask him to do that. So happy we went with ABQ Dog Walkers!

I used Fuzzy Friends back in 2024 for a week of travelling, and also to care for my animals during the time that I could not due to recovering from a broken leg. They were phenomenal, but that is hardly the case now. They use an app called Time to Pet, and back in 2024 I received extensive pictures and very positive communication about my animals and their conditions each day. Even when I was recovering from my broken leg and they found me asleep when they came to service my pets they took pictures and left great detail on their work. That is why when I needed to travel this year, there was no question that I would use them again! I hired Fuzzy Friends to come in and care for my cats and Guinea Pigs from 4/29 to 5/4 (2026.) On 4/29 all I received on their app at 4:59pm was a message, "Your animals have received food and water." No pictures, no detail. I was busy with the business of my trip, and so I thought nothing of the message. The next day, I received a voicemail message at about noon from Fuzzy Friends asking me to call them at my earliest convenience and expressing no urgency. When I called them back, the owner immediately started screaming at me telling me that my house was filthy and had the stench of ammonia, and that her pet sitter got sick after being in my house, and that I would be responsible for her medical bills. I was threatened and told that I had one hour to get someone to my house to get the keys from them or they would call Albuquerque Animal Control and have my animals removed from my house. I immediately called another person that I know that is a very professional pet sitter, and asked her to please go to my house and get my keys and take over this job. She immediately drove from the east side of town to my house and had to wait there while Fuzzy Friends showed up. They only gave her one key to my house at first, she had to ask for the second key. She immediately went into my house and this is what she discovered: It did not look like any service had been done for my animals since I left on Tuesday evening. The food and water were low but at least they were not empty. Also, she questioned why Fuzzy Friends did not mention to me in their app message on Wednesday evening or in their voicemail to me on Thursday afternoon that any problems had occurred instead of all Hell breaking loose on Thursday afternoon. If they had caught the problem earlier there would have been one less day of the house being closed up with the smell of Ammonia! Why else would it have been so strong by the time that they finally went to care for my pets?? I had been using an ammonia-based stain remover on my rugs just before leaving on my trip. Although it was effective on another rug in my den, in my living room the smell was very strong, probably because the house had been closed up since I left Tuesday evening. Luckly, it was the cleaner, and I found that my cats did not actually pee on the rug. The smell certainly was not pleasant, but not to the point that she would describe it as a "stench." My replacement pet sitter told me that as a pet sitter for over 20 years, that sometimes you encounter a problem with something while your customers are gone and you have to deal with it. That is why they hire you. She aired out my house for me and it was clear in a little over an hour. She brought Feliway to my house, folded up the rug so that it could dry, and even offered to drag my rug outside, which I told her was too much for her to do. My rug is being cleaned and deodorized by a carpet cleaner just to make sure that the ammonia smell is gone. Fuzzy Friends refused to refund my money. Despite the fact that my replacement pet sitter had to wait about 15 minutes for Fuzzy friends to show up to get the keys to my house, Fuzzy Friends called Albuquerque Animal Control anyway to report that I had "violated an ordinance." I cooperated with the Animal Control officer that came out to search my house, and I was told by the officer that I have not violated any ordinances. Dealing with these people was a nightmare...They are abusive and they should not be in the pet sitting business...Don't make the same mistake I did by hiring them!

And our bathtub just doesn't do the trick. Puddles is the direct result of a small business owner, a groomer, who listened to her customer's requests. The venue charges on a sliding scale, from $5-$25 (depending on weight/size). Nail clips are $5. The dog stands in a small bathing bay, you spray the dude down, shampoo and wash (soaps are safe and all natural), dry with a shammy and finally, give 'em a blow dry (most dogs, including ours, hate that part). Employees stand nearby and assist as you request. Your dog stares longingly into your eyes, anxiety-ridden, whimpering, but at least you're someone he trusts. The shop offers other small bells and whistles like treats, accessories and a free bandana following the wash. They're also happy to post a Glamour Shot of your dog on their social channels. Oh, BTW, our dog was softer than we'd ever known, and shed-free for at least ten minutes.

After several appointments and interactions with the team and Dr. Romero, I cannot say enough great things! Dr. Romero truly loves what she does and it shows! She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, caring, compassionate and is a great communicator. Pricing is very reasonable, the facility is warm and inviting and CLEAN!!! Also, no idea what others are referring to about the admin staff and ladies that answer the phones but I've called over 20 with various people answering the phone and it's always a positive experience. This pet sitter literally saved my cat's life! My 15 year old calico cat, Ursula, was not feeling well and she was jaundiced. I rushed her to the vet and he ran tests, but advised me to put her to sleep because of her age and because his in-house test showed that she was positive for felk. I called Hideyo and she gave me some advice o try and save my kitty, including retesting her for felk. The vet put Ursula on the medications suggested and ordered additional felk testing from the lab. She tested negative! Less than one week later she had almost completely recovered. Not only is From Wags to Whiskers the best pet sitters I've ever used, they are more knowledgeable than my vet! I am happy to say, I trust them completely! read more

I have been enlisting Hideyo to pupsit my dog Molly now for a couple of years. Molly is an old lady who suffers from sever PTSD from mistreatment when she was younger. She is skittish and traumatized by load noises or fast movement. She does not generally trust people but she immediately trusted Hideyo and now I can travel to visit family in Oregon knowing she feels safe and loved. Molly has a special diet and quirky habits that Hideyo takes in stride. I (we - Molly, too) think of her as family. She has always been dependable and trustworthy. Hideyo is amazing. Relying on her makes me feel better about having to be away from my dogs when I'm traveling. She does all you would expect from someone you hire to dog sit. But she also makes an effort beyond the basics, spending the time and energy to make my dogs feel better about me not being there. My picky, aloof dogs on now her friends (no small feat.) On daily visits she takes them out to play, sits petting them on the couch, and actually sends me photos each day. I could go on with glowing review points, but I'm a bit afraid she might become too busy to always be available when I need her. I can not tell you how thrilled we are to have found Wags To Whiskers! Such a relief to know our babies are being watched over and protected by someone who really cares. But Hideyo is so much more than just a great pet sitter, she is someone who is deeply committed to the welfare of all animals and will go out of her way to help them. Recently we introduced a new cat to our household and things were not going well. My wife thought to call Hideyo and sure enough, she had some great advice that helped us see things from our cat's point of view. Hideyo has truely been a Godsend for my wife and I. We travel a lot she is remarkably dependable in caring for our two kitties -- one who needs shots for his diabetes. Her impact goes far beyond just feeding them, litter maintenance. She's extremely knowledgable about cats (and dogs, presumably) and we believe she has extended our cats' life with her advice in dealing with his condition. I would give this company no stars if I could. The owner was paid to take care of my two dogs, and she neglected them the whole time which I have on video. I always wondered why my dogs would be starving when I got back into town. Well when I saw the video of the owner stay at my house a total of 5 minutes, then I knew why. I have one dog that is extremely anxious and during the first visit it took her a day to settle in but on the second stay it only took a few hours. Which is amazing. Our little trio of babies loved staying and you'll see nothing but smiles and playful faces. They kept me updated on how the pets did while we were away which includes pictures; the pics really put me at ease because I could see how happy they were. The staff is amazing no matter who you speak with or text, they all are amazing people truly. They are animal lovers and it shows. They treat your pets as if they are their own. Kisses, treats if you allow it and I love the drop off form is great. They adhere to whatever the dog's schedule is and they will give prescription medication as well. I especially want to say that I was able to genuinely relax because I KNEW that my babies were being well cared for and loved. Upon picking up our pups, we got report cards and it helps to see how they did.

We were pleasantly surprised by the affordability of St. Francis, but more importantly by the exceptional service. From the lady thay checks you in at the front desk to the vet. Everybody was incredibly kind to our Roxy who was apprehensive and nervous. By about mid-way through the appointment Roxy had calmed down a ton because of all of the love and affection she was receiving from the staff. She got her shots updated and a clean bill of health. St. Francis has earned our trust and will now be the go to veterinarian for all of our pets.

I made sure to set him up for success with all the training I could give him since he was already 2 years old approx. I want to bring awareness to give dogs time to adjust, my dog took about a full year to show his true personality and even then he has improved over the years. I adopted him 3 years ago and he has kept on growing in trusting people more and becoming more confident. Give dogs a chance only if you are willing to give them time, they are 10000% worth the investment of time and effort. Also, donate to your animal shelters when you can! I signed up to volunteer through their website, and they responded quickly--I was able to attend an orientation within two weeks. The orientation was incredibly informative, not just about the organization's mission, but also about the many ways volunteers can get involved. Since then, I've been volunteering in their on-site low-income pet food distribution center, and it's been amazing to see their mission in action.
