After four days of no response, I grabbed the name of the realtor and called her to inquire about the property. The conversation was polite, but there was ZERO follow up. She offered to show the property either that night or the following day, never heard anything from her, even after I texted stating I would like to see the property. I'm in sales...you don't pass up a lead or business. It's truly unfortunate because I went to another realtor who has been more than happy to accommodate by business. This office lost a seller AND a buyer!

While I understand the laws have changed around buyers commission and sellers commission fee, the percentage requested up front is more than the average commission received by sellers today... usually it's 6% total (buyer/seller) and 1% goes to the sellers company, and selling realtor gets 2.5% to 3.0% and buying realtor gets 2.0% to 2.5%. Even then everything should be negotiable between the buyer/seller which is what the law was changed to mean.. Would not recommend anyone deal with Amanda from John greene Realtor.

In this time, Amy got really successful in her brokerage. She had a huge staff, and lost the personal experience as a result of making it so scalable and automated. I equate this experience to a Comcast of realty. I couldn't get through to people, I had to do lots of leg work, I got canned communications and they just didn't care if they had my business....and I felt it. I expressed my frustrations along the way. I included Amy. I got a response that clearly indicated they don't need my business. Fine. It's got to work for both of us. I'm not your big listing. We were under contract fast - three days after the listing went online. The house didn't need much support to get traffic. My offer didn't pan out because we couldn't reach a final price point. That's not the Kite team's problem at all. But they immediately reposted my property and then I let them know I didn't want to continue. I called my contact to give her this info. From the time I did this, the contract with the Kite team had three days runout. They took the full three days to remove the lockbox and inactivate the listing. They didn't as much as call, text, or email to say "done" (I was selling from out of state.) During those three day No phone call. No apologies. No call from Amy either. They were glad to get rid of me. And all I kept begging for was proactive communication and detail on next steps. I am officially done with them now. I found a new agent. I am happy to pay a commission to someone who answered her phone, responded to me and didn't hand me off to staff. Want personal service? Go smaller. Smaller office will also buy you a smaller ego.
