If you think about flying frontier to save money you are never this desperate. I promise you there is no actual guarantee you will get where you are going and you will not get a refund. They do not care about their customers. Literally any other flight line. If you care to hear more keep reading but that's what you need to know. Flight F9 757, July 17th, 2023. A320 Fronteir changed the gate of my flight causing me to run across the terminal. Then they delayed the flight. They up-charged me $100 for a bag that had 4 inches of buffer room (at least ) after I had already paid $46 to bring a bag. She didn't ask me if she could charge the card which has to be illegal, I thought she needed to verify the purchase but she said "That will be 100$" and swiped. I had no idea that's why she asked for my card, no warning, and I didn't have any money on that card. So as I ask her to cancel the payment to put it on a different card and she interrupts me. Like, I mean over and over with "Ma'am- Ma'am! Have a good day!" Lady, no I'm about to get an overdraft charge. Didn't care at all what I had to say, just kept shutting me down with "Have a good day." I asked her if I could at least have a refund for the bag I already paid for. She said, "Have a good day." So I go sit down on the plane and attempt to transfer money to the account. Meanwhile, the AC on the plane is broken. On the flight back, the gate changed 3 times. No announcement, no email, notification- nothing. No one manning the gates to ask questions. There were even times the gate changed but the TV displaying the destination still said the old destination so it's amazing that anyone gets where they're going. I asked the gentleman if it was the right gate and he rolled his eyes at me and said "Yes". Now, I work in customer service myself so I try to be as kind and easy as possible, and I get this question that must be asked all the time, but like, how else am I supposed to know? The attitude and body language made me feel like such a burden. I would fly another flight line just to have people who actually care. Then, the flight was canceled and 100 people (not an exaggeration) started sprinting to the customer service line. It took an hour for me to be helped and I was the 20th person in line. Now this is the stuff of horrors. Everyone in line had a lot of time to talk and some of them had been stuck at the Denver airport for DAYS waiting on the return flight, after flight, just for them to get canceled. One man had been waiting for 4 days and they just kept delaying every flight and then canceling. People were so mad and the line stretched out of the terminal gates and into the cafeteria area. People kept coming up from the back asking the front desk how the people at the back of the line would ever receive help when there were so many people in front of them. I saw grown adults crying, begging Frontier for a hotel, compensation of any sort, just to get home so they could go back to their jobs and family. Frontier does not care. It was honestly too insane to believe. There was one Indian woman and her kids and she was simply asking the attendant- after that exact same attendant reissued her tickets - where the gate was. The customer service rep wholly ignored her, and just talked over her to a coworker. I don't think the woman spoke English enough to even realize what was happening. She just kept asking "Arizona?" And the customer service women would say "Yep." But that's not true! It was Tampa, Than Arizona. I was absolutely appalled. I'm not saying you should have someone who speaks Hindi and every other language at hand, but take 5 minutes to actually explain what's happening. She had three children with her! I'm just so shocked by the morals of your workers and company. So when it was my turn to get help I knew a refund was pointless. She offered me two flights out of Denver both had layovers in towns I had no friends or family in. After all the people stranded by Frontier, I didn't trust them to have a layover in Tampa. Tampa is further than where I needed to go. If I got stranded there I would never get home. But a refund of half the flight value wouldn't be enough to purchase another ticket with someone else out of this situation. I asked her if there was anything she could do. Any money she could refund or any other flights. She said I have a meal voucher and a standby at 5 am (it was 1 in the morning) that 25 people were already on standby for. But what else was I to do? so I took those and a flight at 9 am that would probably leave me stranded in Texas. Some of the frontier passengers were getting together to rent a car and drive home. People lost their luggage. It was the worst experience I've ever had, topped only by spending the night in the airport. All in all, I paid $385.95 for a stupid weekend trip that would have taken me 12 hours to drive. Checking Delta I could have paid $178.40 for the same flight, the same amount of weeks out reserved. read more

Absolutely WORST service I have EVER encountered when it comes to airfare. My husband an I thought we were hitting the jackpot for how low their ticket prices were. Well we didn't realize all of their hidden fees, and ridiculously retched service. Our tickets came to about $600 or so, when we got there for out first flight it was a little 'fun' to find out they charge you for your carry on bag. WHAT?! "Oh well, we got the tickets so cheap any ways" Our connection flight was a 20 minute wait- which we were SO excited about considering we've had to wait well over 5 hours before for a next flight. But our first flight was delayed due to tornado warnings in Colorado, which was fine, we understand they can't control the weather. They informed us all connecting flights would be delayed as well, and we would make our flight. They finally got us boarded on the plane, and were ready for take off on the run way and everything, but the pilot could not get ahold of whoever he was trying to reach on the other end and after waiting another full hour had us all get OFF the plane and said our flight would be delayed another hour and a half due to 'bad connection'? Or something? Luckily we stayed close by because we boarded back on within 15 minutes. More than half the travelers on the plane missed the flight... Because he told us an hour and a half! When we got to our next destination... We MISSED our connecting flight by 20 MINUTES!!!!! What a JOKE RIGHT?! It gets WORSE. They informed us we'd have to talk to costumer service so... we got into a line that was MILES long. We stood in line for 5 and a half HOURS before we could talk to someone. A man before us in line was talking to a rep. and asked why their service was this horrid, and the rep. simply replied 'sir this is happening to all of the other airlines' well that was just the most ridiculous excuse I'd ever heard. Not a single other airline had a line in front of it, and if they did they would have had some sort of direction to sort through the line and had more staff. There were FOUR Customer service reps helping a line of HUNDREDS! We FINALLY got to speak to someone and she was DELUSIONAL! I don't know about you, but in ALL of my jobs I've had we're always taught in bad situations to continually apologize to the customer. what we got was the opposite. They made it seem like it was out of their control, and our fault for missing the connecting flight. They would NOT reimburse us, put the money towards another flight, or help in the least! We had to be to our destination the next day and the best they could offer was a flight 4 days later that WE would HAVE to pay for! I couldn't handle it anymore and asked if there was at least any stand by flights the next day. There were two. Why would you not offer the stand by flights first? Anyways she got us set up for the stand by, and if we didn't make that she said the best thing she could do after that is send us back home that again- WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR. After this is said and done she hands us a coupon without saying sorry or anything that gave us a small percentage off of a hotel night stay which was useless for us because after standing in line after 5 and a half hours we'd already looked up a hotel and set one up. It said 'they were sorry that there was nothing they could do due to un foreseen weather circumstances' or something of the sort. THE FIRST TIME WE BOARDED THE PLANE WAS IN THEIR CONTROL AND WE WOULD'VE MADE THE FLIGHT!! We missed it due to their bad direction and communication!! It's time to head home. Our flight home was at 6:30 I believe and boarding time was 6:20 we got there at 6:00 (we were a little late because our ride got lost) and the first frontier employee we ran into was SO RUDE! She informed us we had only 10 minutes to get on our flight??? Wait.. What?! She told us we could not check our bag due to this. So we ran as fast as we could got through security by 6:15 and of course after they threw away $100's of dollars worth of hair gel, lotions, and body washes we ran as fast as we could to the boarding station to arrive to an EMPTY station no one was at the desk... At this time it was only 6:18. They had boarded everyone 20 minutes EARLY without sending any sort of notification. Another man ran up behind us and missed the flight. I don't even want to know how many others did as well. So does that mean the woman we talked to at the very begining lied?After waiting there for another 30 minutes a woman and a man came up to the empty service desk and told us WE were late, and that WE would AGAIN have to PAY for ANOTHER FLIGHT!!!!!!!!! Without any sort of reimbursement any sort of help, and AGAIN WE WERE MADE THE BAD GUYS AND THEY WERE THE VICTIMS!!! NOT ONCE WERE WE APOLOGIZED TO! To say I am upset would be an understatement! In short, I will never fly with Frontier ever again, and not only do I not recommend flying with them, I highly recommend you do everything in your power to not fly with them. If there is one thing I'm certain of, it's that Frontier does not care about its customers at all and even if they mess up, they will do absolutely nothing to help you. The whole experience started with a flight from Seattle to Miami with a layover in Denver. There was a staffing issue which caused the flight to be delayed 2 hours. At this point, I was pretty sure I was going to miss my connection (as were many other passengers). However, when we confronted the customer service desk at SEATAC we were all assured we would be taken care of in Denver- and that they were holding some of the flights and we may actually make the connection. This was my first time flying with Frontier, and flight-wise, it was absolutely terrible. I mean, it was ~$40 less than the next carrier, so I expected it to be uncomfortable, but good God, it felt like their seats were metal wrapped in leather- so it was both very uncomfortable and sweaty. Beyond that, they charge $40 for your first carry-on bag (yes, that's the one everyone else lets you take on for free), and $35 for your first checked bag. If you don't check in online the prices go up to $60 for the first bag, at which point you probably would have saved money by going with an actual airline. What ultimately made my decision to never fly with them again, however, was their complete lack of customer service. Upon arriving in Denver, they announced that all passengers with connecting flights had already missed their connection and needed talk to customer service to find a new flight. The customer service desk had two individuals who had no idea what they were doing and Crystal, a manager, who was basically working both desks. I was 5th in line and it took almost 2 hours to be helped. First, Crystal explained that the customer service agent in Seattle was instructed to put most of us on different flights so we could get to our destination faster and she's not sure why that didn't happen, she also said that there is no way they would hold flights for 45+ minutes and "the customer service agent [at SEATAC] knows that." She then explained that I had two options: Get on the next flight to Miami, departing the following evening at 11:55pm, or they could refund the cost of my ticket ($234) and I could fly with a different carrier. That doesn't sound too bad! I pulled out my laptop and found a direct flight for $219 with United that departed at 8:27am the next morning. I showed Crystal and said I'd just take the refund and we'd be good to go. Unfortunately, Crystal then informed me that they can't actually issue refunds at the airport, I had to call their general number and get my refund processed through them. Fine. Whatever. I dialed up the number, but they're only open during regular business hours. So I'd have to try them back tomorrow morning after they opened. At least I wasn't trying to fly to Orlando. Two of the other passengers were put on flights that departed on Thursday... and it was Monday. The following morning I call the number Crystal gave me and speak with a supervisor named Arnie. I explained the situation to Arnie who explained to me that she can only process refunds that are already queued... and that Crystal would have needed to put the refund request in the queue in order for it to be processed. Arnie said she could cancel my flight and give me a refund for $80 of the $234 now, but if I wanted a full refund, that it needed to be queued by a customer service rep at the airport. Obviously in an infinite loop of bs, I go back to the airport and talk to Scott, the manager at the ticketing counter. Scott explained to me that Frontier was actually being very generous offering a partial refund and they were only doing it because Frontier messed something up with the staffing which caused the delay, Scott actually said the words "the delay was totally preventable." He then explained that he did have the ability to give me a full refund, and I felt so relieved for that brief moment before he told me that he wasn't going to give me the refund, because "I already used part of the service." Ultimately, Scott explained that while I paid for service from Seattle to Miami, and Frontier only provided service from Seattle to Denver, that because some service was provided, even though it wasn't what I paid for or what I wanted, that the transaction was perfectly fair. I had to burn another vacation day for work, sit in an airport for almost 24 hours, and according to Scott, Frontier could have prevented this entirely, and still, Scott assured me that this was perfectly fair. At the end of the day, if there is anything I am sure of, it's that if something does go wrong, you can be absolutely sure Frontier will do absolutely nothing to try to help you- even if it was 100% their fault. read more

Review: I recently had the unfortunate experience of flying with Frontier Airlines, and I must say, it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Where do I even begin? Let's start with the complete lack of customer service, which seemed to be non-existent throughout my entire ordeal. First and foremost, Frontier Airlines has a serious overbooking problem. It's mind-boggling how they consistently sell more tickets than there are available seats on their flights. As a result, chaos ensues at the airport, and passengers like myself are left stranded with no recourse. On the day of my flight, I arrived at the airport only to be greeted by an outrageously long line to check in my luggage. There were at least 700 people ahead of me, and the lack of organization was painfully apparent. To add insult to injury, Frontier Airlines has no qualms about leaving with a plane that is half empty due to their overbooking practices. It's absurd to think that they would prioritize squeezing in as many passengers as possible, even if it means inconveniencing others and causing them to miss their flights. This alone should be enough reason to steer clear of this airline. Furthermore, once on board, the lackluster experience continued. There are no in-flight entertainment options, such as movies or even a basic entertainment system. Passengers are left to endure long flights in boredom and discomfort. The seats themselves are incredibly cramped and uncomfortable, making it nearly impossible to relax or find any semblance of comfort. If you were expecting even a basic level of service in the form of food or drinks, prepare to be disappointed. Frontier Airlines seems to believe that their passengers don't require sustenance during their journey, as they offer nothing in terms of refreshments. It's simply unacceptable, especially considering the often lengthy flights one may endure with this airline. Lastly, I must mention the deplorable attitudes displayed by the airline's employees. Throughout my interactions with them, it was clear that they had little to no regard for the passengers' well-being or satisfaction. Their lack of empathy and professionalism only further exacerbated an already stressful situation. To make matters worse, when I attempted to reach out to Frontier Airlines to request a refund due to the fact that I missed my flight as a direct result of their overbooking, they were completely unresponsive. Their lack of responsiveness and unavailability to resolve the issue only solidified my belief that this airline cares more about profit than providing a satisfactory customer experience. In conclusion, Frontier Airlines is without a doubt the worst airline I have ever had the misfortune of flying with. From their rampant overbooking practices to the lack of customer service, uncomfortable seating, and absence of basic amenities, this airline fails on multiple fronts. I strongly advise anyone considering booking with Frontier Airlines to think twice. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and disappointment, and choose an airline that actually values its customers. Brace yourself for this one: Frontier Airlines no longer provides live customer service support. Yes, you read that right. They have completely eliminated any means of contacting them directly for assistance. It's truly unbelievable and speaks volumes about their disregard for their customer's safety and well-being. Imagine being in a situation where you need urgent assistance, whether it's related to a flight delay, a missed connection, or any other unforeseen circumstance. With Frontier Airlines, you're essentially left to fend for yourself. They have removed the option to speak with a live representative, leaving passengers stranded and frustrated. This level of negligence is simply unacceptable. It's clear that Frontier Airlines is more interested in cutting costs and maximizing profits than providing any form of genuine customer support. They have essentially washed their hands of any responsibility towards their passengers. This lack of live customer service only amplifies the already terrible experience and highlights the airline's complete lack of professionalism and care. I feel that I need to share my unforfunate experience of flying out of Sioux Falls, S.D. to Denver, CO on Sat. night, Feb. 23rd. Weeks ago, I found a great deal round trip from DIA to FSD & back & quickly booked it. Then, I went on Discount Den & purchased the TSA pre-check pkg. which covers pre-checking what I carried on the plane, my seat assignment & early boarding - both ways. From DIA to FSD all went well - no problems. As time for my return flight back to Denver neared, the weather report for Sioux Falls was very stormy, so I had to ask a friend to drive me the 85 miles from my Mom's to Sioux Falls to spend the night at a motel near the airport. My actual flight was booked for 8:27 pm Sat. night. I was actually sitting in the airport at 11:30 am. I waited all day with my luggage so that I would be sure to not miss the flight if it actually flew out. I was 1st in line at the ticket counter when the ticket agent came behind the counter. I handed her my reservation which included all the info regarding the pre-check, etc. She didn't even bother to look at it. Instead, she immedietly threw it back at me on top of the counter saying, "I don't want that! I need your ID." I gave her my license & she handed me back my boarding pass - which DID NOT have my reserved seat assignment on it. She had put me into a different seat - one that had no storage space or leg room. I did not say anything - I simply went upstairs to Security. I proceeded to go to the TSA pre-check area when I was stopped by security & when she checked my paperwork & pass, informed me that I was not pre-checked, so had to go through regular security drill - everything in the little bins, boots off, patted down, the whole drill. I asked why & all 4 security agents told me that the ticket agent had not done the pre-check downstairs & that that was up to them, not Security. (Denver ticket agents HAD done it correctly.) The TSA Supervisor waited until I had it all packed up again & he was kind enough to walk part way to the gate with me appologizing for what I had to go through when I should not have had to. At the gate, the same female agent showed up & I went up to her to explain that she had not pre-checked me, she never let me finish, she informed me that was not what she had to do, that it was TSA's job. I told her that, No, it was Frontier's job according to TSA & that she should have checked my paperwork. I asked for her name & she said it was, "Armica". I asked for a supervisor & she informed me that she was the supervisor. Another young female agent later came to the podium to make the boarding announcement - NO ONE gave a PRE-BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT even though there was a lady in a wheelchair & myself who were supposed to both be given the chance to pre-board. After, they realized what they had done, they jumped out from the podium to push passengers back telling them to back up & let the wheel chair through. As I started for the door, Armica stepped out in front of me to inform me that my carry-on bag was too big & that I would have to check it. I tried to tell her that I had specifically asked for the carry-on size before buying one, but she refused to listen, simply insisting that I had to check my bag. I asked her to check the tag on the handle of the new bag as I had left it on just in case something like this happened. Out of no where another female agent flew up to me & screamed, "I'm the manager & that bag is too big & is not going in the cabin. I again tried to get her to look at the tag on the handle, but she jerked my bag out of my hands, lifted it up high & literally slammed it down as hard as she could into the wooden area with the size lines on it. I asked for her name which I believe she said was Lilly or close to that. She screamed, "I SAID it was too big. Can you see that?" I began to say something when she grabbed my boarding pass out of my hand & began to tear it. I said "What are you doing?" She hollered at me, "Oh, do you want to go now?" I knew I had no other choice, so I simply said, "Yes." She then gave me my torn pass back & I went on to board the plane minus the bag. Since Armica did not bother to check my reservation, I was in a seat I had not requested in spite of paying for that choice. I told one of the flight attendants that I originally was supposed to have 2C & she said that if no one else was sitting in that seat, then, I could have it, which eventually happened. Another lady passenger who was on the flight, told me how sorry she was that I had been treated so badly up at the gate podium & said she would gladly be a witness for me if I needed her. She gave me her business card just in case. Obviously, passenger service is a term Frontier agents, Armica & Lilly have no concept of in Sioux Falls or the Frontier City Manager at that station, has no idea of what that term means. AVOID FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!! AVOID FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!! 1. RUDE EMPLOYEES - THE WORST I'VE EXPERIENCED OUT OF ANY AIRLINE 2. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE - Mostly incompetent and will lie straight to your face. ABSOLUTELY RUDE, FAIL TO SPEAK POLITELY. Why is this allowed? My flight got cancelled from Denver to Fargo due to weather. Understandable. But, the service provided afterward to accommodate flights with Frontier airline or partnering airlines was atrocious. Utterly atrocious. The costumer service representative didn't even know the nearby cities Frontier Airlines could send me to, her words " I don't know what other cities are nearby" and then looked at me blankly and appallingly didn't even try to find out! I was so shocked, I just looked at her dumbfounded. Basically, I had to prompt her for everything after this point. The thing is after all this, I sat down to figure out what I could do on my own, because the best option for me was to take my measly $80 refund and go book a flight on my own. Meanwhile, I notice there is a flight leaving for Bismarck (which is 2.5 -3 hours from Fargo) and the incompetent costumer service lady NEVER mentioned it!!!! Normally, airlines try their best to accommodate you and look up all possibilities in their knowledge and power. BUT NOT FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!! Anyway, I rush over to the Bismarck gate, knowing it's boarding and leaving soon, as they were boarding the last of the passengers. The man at the desk was busy dealing with another unhappy customer (which I noticed he was speaking rudely to about carry-on mishap - which I guess carry-on fee issues are a common problem with this airline) and another lady also waiting to talk to him. Meanwhile, I asked the check-in lady if this flight is full, she quickly glances at the screen and gives me an unconvincing "yes". I don't believe her so I proceed to stand at the desk... thinking they won't leave because they have two people at the desk speaking with a representative. The same check-in lady is telling the other two to get on the plane b/c it's leaving... very rudely... no polite talk at all. And saying we are going to leave now whether you get on or not. The customer keeps repeating to her... "you guys wanted to talk to me so I'm waiting to talk to him, you can't leave without me this is your hold up"... but the lady keeps yelling at her to get on the plane. THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME. YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE AIRLINE ATTENDANT YELLING AT CUSTOMERS TO GET ON THE PLANE WHILE BEING SERVICED BY ANOTHER ATTENDANT! DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE? I get on the plane - only b/c there are supervisors that arrived to talk to the other disgruntled lady. They were speedy and booked me, but were also yelling at me at the same time to just get on the plane. I said, look my bags are in baggage claim (denver airport) where will they be sent? This is all happening while I'm repeatedly told to get on the plane. I'm like hey I need to know this! This is important! Anyway, they say my luggage will be sent to Fargo in two days (in my head I know Frontier doesn't have flights leaving for Fargo for another 5 days)... despite this I say okay try to trust them and get on the plane. I wait around in Fargo for two days for my bags, since I'm actually trying to get to Winnipeg, Canada. I go to Fargo airport, but can't talk to anyone from Frontier to figure out where my bags are, b/c no one is working at the Fargo airport since they don't have flights til mid-week. Therefore, I talk to an American airlines person who is very helpful and assists me with the luggage issue. She thinks my bags are coming in on a certain flight, and will call me later to see if they arrive. So we leave and kill some time in Faro some more but she doesn't call us. Therefore, I assume they didn't come on that flight and so we start driving for the border. All in all, she eventually calls us as we are almost to the border and says my bags did arrive in Fargo. She simply asks what do I want to be done with my bags. She ends up sending them without complaint to the Winnipeg Airport in Canada on a delta flight and will call us the next day to let us know which flight it's on, WHICH ORIGINALLY FRONTIER SAID THEY WOULDN'T DO, EVER. So! I'm thankful for the nice representative from American that easily and simply without hassle did what was needed and very accommodating - WHICH IS THE SORT OF SERVICE I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE BEGINNING WITH FRONTIER. I'm fairly positive Frontier would not have forwarded by bags to Winnipeg. ****DO NOT FLY FRONTIER DURING WINTER MONTHS OR ANY SORT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER AND CHANCE OF CANCELLATION.
