Super nice people, very competent and fun. I bought a Night Guard, it fit perfectly. I never had to wait long.

I want to start by saying that the staff members here are genuinely nice people who have been very…read morekind to my family. This isn't a criticism of them personally, but rather the system they are working in. It seems like they are under tremendous pressure and being forced to move way too fast, so as a result, the quality of the work has become terrible. Three members of my family recently started Invisalign here, and the application of the brackets was a disaster. They were put on so haphazardly that they look like a toddler did them--they stick out so far that they look bizarre and are incredibly sharp. As an adult who works in a business setting, I am actually embarrassed to take my trays out for dinner because the hardware on my teeth looks so ridiculous. Both of my children were in tears the night they were applied because the brackets were sticking so far into their aligners and tearing up their gums. We had a great experience with an independent orthodontist in another state, so we know this isn't how Invisalign is supposed to feel or look. Furthermore, at our last appointment, after waiting 25 minutes past our time, they gave my son someone else's Invisalign. They didn't realize the mistake until they called me hours later asking me to bring them back because the actual patient was there waiting for them. I saw his full name and information on the box. It's clear this office is part of a private equity-backed group (Lightwave Dental) that cares more about volume and speed than quality care. Alpine/Lightwave - Treat your providers and staff better so they can take care of their patients. These are obviously good people who are doing their best in a system where the bottom line is pushing them into a terrible experience for everyone.

Great caring staff. On my third kid getting braces through this office. Love Orthodontist attention…read moreto details

And while Dr. McNutt upfront offers a lot of fancy, digital software and tools, his actual technique for braces seemed surprisingly not much different than what was being done 20 years ago. Just to be clear, braces have a lot of purposes, some health-related, but most of it has to do with a person's "look." That's why your insurance company usually won't pay for most of it. So you can imagine that's why a dentist (like Dr. McNutt) might be very rigid in his approach to what he believes should be your ideal "look" or standard. When we spoke with Dr. McNutt about our child's services, he seemed to not have much time to talk about how we wanted to approach our child's individual care, and at one point, seemed to become very impatient- almost childish- in tone with us. Toward the end of a meeting, he essentially praised our daughter for being seen and not heard, which should be a red flag for anyone taking a child in for services. Do your own homework, but compared with equally (if not more experienced) dentists, Dr. McNutt was much more expensive. They're YOUR teeth and YOUR finished look (or your child's), so you should have some input in the approach to care, and shouldn't feel talked-down to or bullied for having an opinion about that. I would highly recommend shopping around before settling on this practice.

Dr. McNutt has completed orthodontic treatment on several of my children. He and his staff have…read morealways done a fantastic job. They are professional, kind, courteous, and did great work. We highly recommend them!
