Great treatment for a few skin conditions I have. They prescribed the perfect cream to treat them :-) I highly recommend!

Had a long standing appointment for today at 10:40 AM. I received a text this morning at 7:34 AM reminding me of the appointment. Left the house for the appointment at around 9 AM. Received a voice mail at 9:13 telling me that they had canceled the appointment. I didn't find out that the appointment was cancelled until I was in the office and was told by the staff that my appointment was canceled because the referral from the VA has expired. I specifically remember at my initial appointment when Todd Williams mentioned that he wanted me back in 6 months to recheck the area on my back that he did a biopsy on, that I would probably need a new referral. He told me then that it wasn't necessary, that they would take care of that. What a colossal screw up and a waste of 2 hours of my time, not to mention the fuel expended on the 50 mile round trip. read more

Waiting months for appointment and then cancel only to be told more months for appointment. Nice staff but they need to hire more people. Boomers need skin care. read more

Schedules are constantly overbooked with appointments every ten minutes. The providers are good - when you can communicate with them. There is no way to send or receive message directly. Emails must be sent to an administrator, then forwarded to the provider, with no direct reply from the provider. Phone calls get recording that continue say: "Thank you for holding. You are number four in queue" - for twenty minutes. There is little or no follow-up with results procedures like biopsies. The patient portal never seems to be up-to-date. read more

Got a next day appointment ....waited 2 minutes in lobby...1 minute in exam room...2minutes later Todd walks in...takes care of business...and a biopsy...and I'm out of there. Perfect. read more

Read the bio of the "Doctor" before you visit this location. She is a nurse practitioner from Russia. She spent half the appointment shaming and blaming me. Lab results take two weeks and then she expects you to answer the phone and go to where she wants you to go because she can't perform any medical procedure. She asks no questions about you as a patient or histories. She zapped a precancerous spot in the appointment and it was swollen for ten days with no after care instruction. Someone called it Silver Fails and I concur! I had some kind of rash that was spreading on my arms and legs and getting worse by the day. I call the office and get an appointment in Astoria. They took all my insurance info on the phone and set me up for the following day. I drive 50 minutes to get there only to find that the "trainee" cancelled my appointment and none of the doctors take my insurance! They get a manager on the phone & can see me in Longview the next day (3 hours round trip). I'm seen, the woman I see wants to take two biopsies from my stomach (hole punches) she takes one through an existing scar and it's bleeding everywhere and now I'll need 3 stitches. The other just surgical tape. I have scars from both months later. I find out she is NOT A DERMATOLOGIST when they give me an appointment card to come back. No way was I going back. My nurse practitioner took the sutures out and didn't understand why the big punches and not dissolving stitches. The office is old and the bathroom dirty by the way. I went to my dermatologist in Tacoma and she thought the whole biopsies were not necessary. Lesson learned even in an emergency I'm going to a licensed dermatologist! read more

The receptionist was friendly and responsive to my questions upon checking in. The doctor was even better. Dr. Elizabeth Schmidt is a physician assistant and she was warm, seemed to care about my concerns and quickly explained what all my weird bumps, moles and itchy dry skin was about. She didn't rush our time together like some other doctors might and made sure all my questions were answered before I left. She also removed several annoying growths which were harmless but ugly that annoyed me and made me self conscience. I would highly recommend her. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. All I can say is STAY AWAY from Silver Falls Dermatology. My husband and I both made appointments for skin checks. My husband showed up for his appointment at the Seaside office to find it dark and locked up. He called their main phone line - which rings to Salem, by the way - and was told "oh sorry, we lost the doctor in that office so it's temporarily closed. We've been calling people to reschedule, but we must not have gotten to you yet." Ridiculous. I had my appointment at the Astoria office. On my second appointment I saw a new nurse practitioner - the doctors here have a rotating door, apparently - and she took a bump off my cheek to have it biopsied. A week later, a woman called me and said "you've been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma." I said OK, what is that? Her answer? "I'm not sure, but I think it's a kind of skin cancer." Ummm, OK. Then I asked "well, now what?" And she said "they're going to have ''Mos' call you." I said "is Mos a person, an entity, or what?" And she said "they're the people who do our skin cancer surgeries." I asked "OK, so is this serious?" And her answer was "I really don't know. They told me to call and read this to you. Someone will call you within a week." UGH. It has now been two weeks and I've heard nothing. I called and left a voice mail at the surgery scheduling desk, and have not received a return call. What a circus. I'm absolutely appalled at their business practices, so I guess I should be thankful that they won't be cutting into my face. Do not put your health in these people's hands. Oh, and by the way, Dr. Todd is not there anymore. read more

Dr Todd in Astoria is awesome. We all can say we really don't won't to go but if we/you have to go ask for Dr. Todd. The surgery center was in Longview and the staff was very friendly. I can't remember the cosmetic surgeons name, but I had over 40 stitches on my temple and forehead to remove skin cancer. Wear hats and sunscreen!!!! read more

Todd Williams is awesome! I didn't think I could find anyone in this area who would be knowledgable and can treat confidently keloids. Todd Williams can and he has suggestions for how to prevent or treat keloids in the early stages. Haven't had anyone in the past dermatology clinics take the time to provide me with that Information. The staff in the office has always been friendly, and the provider Williams and the staff were even kind enough to double check out of pocket prices for things in case my insurance didnt cover or approve something since I was in office and going ahead with stuff at that time. that's great considering a lot of medical offices don't care, don't ask or make you figure it out and then schedule another appointment. I don't ever feel rushed in my appointment or they want me in and out. First appointments for new patients takes a few weeks sometimes. But once you are in and established with them it really doesn't take long to get in. I called for my last appointment and got in at about 2 weeks which was fine.If you are thinking about trying them out, highly recommend Todd Williams. read more

Went in for a vanity project - age spots. Was told they didn't have laser at this location and was given a retinoid instead. While there, had mole check due to family history with skin cancer, mole was deemed suspicious looking and was removed. No problem there, but weeks went by and no results. I call, they have my number wrong but I am assured that once they know, they'll call me. It's been two months. No results were ever provided, so I guess I have to just hope it wasn't cancerous. The bill, of course, arrived timely. read more

Waited 8 weeks for an appointment. NP barely looked at my skin. She had me do blood work, then I had to chase my own lab results, literally had to pick them up from the lab and hand deliver them to the dermatologist NEXT DOOR because after 5 days of the results being in they claimed they still didn't have them. Then I'm told they were faxing my prescription in right then (830am). At 130 pm I called the pharmacy and surprise surprise, no prescription. Once the pharmacy finally got the orders, they realized good ol NP forgot to do the PA. Went in today (2 weeks later) to have stitches from biopsy removed and was told I can't get my prescription until the results from the biopsy are back because I might not have psoriasis? I've had psoriasis longer then she's had a nursing degree, and it's been confirmed by more then one MD. Needless to say I just wasted 2.5 months. So if you're looking for a place with ZERO follow thru and ZERO concern for their patients, this is your place. The nurse told me they were seeing 29 patients in one day, here's a suggestion, if you're taking on so many patients that the level of care is lacking, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! read more
