No returned calls on biopsy after 7 calls over several days. Why should I need to make so many calls to get service.

I couldn't even get an appointment. Receptionist thought since I had Molina it was automatically Medicaid, and then was refused when I offered to pay cash. Sucks pretty bad while in the middle of an allergic reaction over 80% of the body. Waste of time, wouldn't recommend. read more

Listen to the bad reviews on this one, and kindly avoid going here. Everyone that works here was very polite and kind, from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor, Kathryn Herzog, herself. However, problems quickly arose. I was on a wait list for over a month to come in for an appointment about my seborrheic dermatitis, which is causing long term hair loss in my eyebrows. Doctor Herzog came in and was finished with our appointment in about ten minutes, tops. She agreed it was 'likely dermatitis', told me to keep doing what I had been doing to treat it (even though that hadn't been working for several months), and told me a cream I could try. Only after the appointment, when I looked the cream up, did I realize you can't buy it over the counter, and you need a prescription to obtain it - a prescription she didn't give me. So, ultimately, the visit was a bust. Then there was billing. When I asked the receptionist how much it would cost beforehand, she told me she'd never seen a bill for an initial check in go above $200, unless testing was done in very unique circumstances. I ended up paying a little over $200 out of pocket on the spot, which is totally fine and expected (since no testing was done at all). I was told we were all squared up and business was concluded. A week and half later, I received a second bill for an additional $240, with no explanation, except an invoice that claimed this was a 'discount rate' and that they were giving me $100 off of what "should" have been a $550 visit. Only when I contacted them again and confronted them about this did they agree to drop the additional, (again, completely unexplained) charges. Don't be like me. waited 2months for an appointment. When I arrived, I paid my deductible and was seen by a resident not by the doctor. I made the appointment with. I wish to have a full examination for skin cancer. Instead the resident looked at the spot on my right arm took a scrape biopsy. and told me I should have the results within two weeks. No one ever called. A month later I called them and was told oh yes, it is cancer. Then they wanted to make an appointment for me to come in and have it removed. Has I felt everything in the clinic was hokey and weird I wasn't gonna. Have them do anything further. I went to a different dermatologist who did do a complete full body exam. Frontier never responded to the new dermatologist with any information on my appointment with them or results from my appointment with them. My results within the new dermatologist . I had numerous spots on my face arms chest. They treated them with surgical remover removal on several spots. Now I receive a letter from frontier dermatology, wanting me to sign a release for them that I refuse treatment. I refuse treatment. I went elsewhere to a real dermatologist. Personally, I felt this office was unprofessional from the time I checked in till the time I left. I tried to call them in the morning of my appointment for information to their clinic. nobody answered the phone you go to a answering service in Salem that wasn't even opened yet for the day. I'm telling you this was a very hokey appointment. I would never recommend frontier to anyone. There are plenty, good professional dermatologist find one because you're not going to see one at frontier dermatology. Possibly the doctors there are good but my appointment was doctor and I didn't get to see a doctor. I saw a resident. I was in a chair in a room that was cramped and a lot of stuff was going on that had nothing to do with me. We all be very careful these days with our health choices and the professionals we choose to trust. Be very careful if something doesn't feel right go find a different doctor. LOVE everything about this office, the staff are amazing but then there is the wonderful Dr. Lauren, I cannot say enough about this incredibly knowledgeable Dr.! She from day one knew how conservative I was/am of any cosmetic treatments and continues to meet my expectations with every visit, I am a lifer of her's for sure!!! I saw the esthetician and she was very nice. She made recommendations, and I felt from these recommendations she was looking out for my best interest. She never recommended more than needed just to make more money. Because of the trust she's built with me, I will be returning here for all my skin needs. if I can give a no star, I would totally give a no star PA Kathryn Herzog is horrible. She argued from the time my husband the room didn't listen interrupted things that were like are you kidding me? She was so rude. I do not recommend her for nobody. She acts like she knows makes him and like he didn't know what he was talking about. I would never recommend Frontier dermatology because of her. That's pretty sad. She was mean rude and horrible. I yet have to have somebody call me back. No one has called. read more

Do not go to this place! I waited two months for this appointment on the way there I called to confirm and they told me that they canceled me. They gave me some BS about leaving me a message which is a complete lie. I asked why didn't they email or text me? They said that wasn't part of their business practice. Extremely unprofessional and completely mismanaged. I miss the old silver Falls dermatology which they used to be before they got bought out and unfortunately, they are running the business to the ground. If you love being inconvenienced and enjoy driving through heavy rain and traffic taking off work and taking your kid out of school just to be canceled on during your busy life schedule without any notice then please come and do business with these people. read more

1st appointment driving from a fair distance away to see a "new to me" doctor. I got stuck in awful traffic in Woodland so I called to alert them. The nice lady asked me if I'd be more than 10 minutes late and I said no according to my navigation I'd be 7min late. I asked her if that would be too late and she said no and she would alert the clinic. So I continue driving in and upon arrival (7min late) I'm told that sorry I'm too late and they'll have to reschedule me. I let the lady at the desk know I'd been assured I wouldn't be too late and she said she was supposed to have said otherwise. Now I would have gladly turned around and gone home if I had been told when I initially called it would be too late but honestly I'm frustrated because of the distance and diesel it took to get there. I rescheduled but am reconsidering. I work for the VA and we give our folks 15 minutes at least! read more

I went for a routine cancer screening in the Vancouver office. First, they cancelled my appointment because they were short staffed. I waited 3 months to get in! They did see me the following week. The PA, Hamby, basically did a drive by. she even failed to check the backs of my arms and legs. Then she said that she didn't see anything and said "I wish all of my patients could be like you". Out the door she ran. I got home and went onto the patient portal, and low and behold, there were 5 findings listed. I resorted to Google to find out what they were. One of them could indicate a serious platelet disorder. I prefer an explanation in person, while I am sitting there on the table, and not Dr Google. It can be OK, it can be serious-how am I to know?
