There is no option to talking on the phone to a live agent to discuss issues. I was forced to text someone, which just isnt the same. Then I'm frustrasted because a visiting 5 year old child ended up renting 5 movies, and they would only credit 2 because they said that they had been watched. The fact is that I purposely set up a parental code to avoid this happening, but apparently I did not do it on the main box so it did not set up the code on the other boxes. Next time ill check reviews before blindly choosing an internet provider because service is $30 per month. 1st they do a hard pull on your credit which stays for 2 years. When we did a vacation stay for 8 months, I guess it was up to us to remember when our billing cycle would start again. Because without notice it became active again. Now im being charged $52 for service i did not even know i had access too for a month. They refused to reverse charges because they do not pro-rate billing and wanted us to sign a new contract for a $90 a mo. We canceled indefinitely. read more

I would never recommend Frontier to anyone and I don't even have their services! Their employees are lazy and don't complete jobs. They left a line unburied in my yard for over a week in the tall grass and my husband ran it over with our mower. They were supposed to send someone out to take pictures for an insurance claim but never did. I'm stuck fixing my mower, that has been broke for over 3 months now, out of pocket. I emailed the president and told him I was leaving horrible reviews on every page I could find and also with the BBB. read more

Went to the store to cancel my service because the wait was 40 minutes by phone. The lady was RUDE from the start. If she was representing my business, she would be out the door faster than I was. Unfortunately, I have to make one more trip to the store to return the router that is 8 years old that they would charge me for if I don't return it. CONSUMER ALERT - DO NOT TRUST FRONTIER. THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY, AND NOT ISSUE A REFUND. Here's the deal, I'll keep it short and simple...I ordered service to be installed on Saturday. The tech never called or showed. I called to get a refund. I was told 3-5 business days. 8 days later, still no refund. Here's the interesting part, I went to BBB website. Frontier's customer service and services in general are so bad, an alert pops up, forewarning you of Frontier's lack of response. Wow, just wow. When the BBB has to alert consumers to basically not expect a response, much less a resolution, don't count on it basically. I spent almost an hour on hold when I used the option for an existing customer, but my call was answered within 5 minutes as a new customer. Frontier's business practices are interesting. They have absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction, keep customers money they're not entitled to, the list of unhappy customers is endless. Thankfully many people have been able to get a different service provider. At least Comcast has ethics, and proper business practices. I put in a dispute on my card to get my money back. GUARANTEED, they will rip you off eventually, if they haven't already. read more

Frontier is terrible! We recently moved in town so when called to have our services set up, we thought there would be no problem since we really did not use a lot of internet and had been living in a rural area where internet was not the easiest to get. So, it was bound to be better right? We were very wrong. They charged $85 for a tech to come out and install which was fine, but then our internet barely worked it was functioning worse compared our rural address. When I called Frontier, they said "we checked your location and you can get the highest internet we offer we could upgrade from 6megs to 25megs and we would not even need a tech due to your recent install" but then they said, "oh wait my computer just updated and now you will need a tech for your upgrade so that will be another $85 charge." They offered to lower our monthly payment to compensate our troubles, so I agreed to pay out the money again to finally get our internet where it needed to be. So, come upgrade date Frontier was a no call no show. When I called to find out the problem, they stated the order was created, but not pushed through to a tech. I was then on the phone with them for over 30 minutes due to "computer system not working" unable to get details on billing and unable to get any sort of basics figured out. After all my frustrations I finally agreed to a new installation date, agreed to same 25megs upgrade, and bill amount. I hung up the phone and said if anything else happens I am done with Frontier. The following day I get a phone call from Frontier that I am unable to get an upgrade due to my location will only allow 6megs even though it was checked twice by Frontier and okayed for faster services and all my neighbors are able to fast internet with no problem. Long story short I called Mediacom got all my services set up including 100megs for high-speed internet. Mediacom had a good laugh at my Frontier story it sounds like this is pretty typical. read more

They increased my bill when my contract was over by over $100! 2 months in a row I called and they said they wanted to keep me and would issue credits. No credits ever issued. I called back again and they basically said tough luck nothing we can do about it the previous people you talked to lied as they are subcontractors because we have so much volume. Are you serious? Charged me $255 a month for service and had a mystery $30 charge they had no idea what it was for. Could not have cancelled them quick enough. Avoid Frontier worst experience ever. read more

Frontier keeps unplugging my internet port for no reason. When I call and report they it doesn't work they have the tech plug it back in. I have never once been late on a payment. I was old off the record that the reason they unplug ports is because they don't have enough to go around. Thus company is ridiculous!!! read more

If I thought that someone at Frontier communications actually cares about their reputation I'd hold out some hope that this review might do some good. I have been a tech professional for over 20 yrs. I have worked with dozens of ISP's in that time. My experience with Frontier is that they are hands down the worst I have ever dealt with. They have zero process, zero customer engagement and the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The only thing that would make it any worse is if the flipped me the finger. It's that bad. I am extremely frustrated with your service. i have had nothing but issues since I've had the service, i pay for a higher speed and it sucks! its so slow, dial up is much faster. i call numerous times and get no where, i ask for a supervisor they don't help or they make up and excuse that they are in meetings. I was with Comcast for about 12years, Their prices kept climbing so I finally decided to look elsewhere. Frontier locked me for one year with a great price. TV and internet and DVR for $86/mth. How could I beat that? I couldn't so I switched. Biggest mistake!! The wifi cut out ALL THE TIME, it was the crappiest internet I've ever had and believe me we don't use it for much. My son received two Failing grades on assignments because they were to be submitted online but the wifi cut out causing his work to not be submitted. It was awful, I called and complained they told me to switch "lanes." Switched lanes many times over that year and never seemed to make one damn bit of difference! During the course of that year we purchased Apple TV with the intent to go cable free when we were done with our one year term. At the end of our one year I called to cancel the TV and just keep internet, same as many other reviews, they said they wanted to keep my business and transferred me to the Retention deptmnt. I was told that they could keep my price the same for another year! My husband and I discussed it and decided for that price, we could absolutely do another year. We were ecstatic. That was short lived because when the next bill came around it was MUCH higher by over $100. I called immediately and they apologized said there weren't some promos applied or something and they fixed it and the bill dropped to $88, I confirmed again that this would be the price for a year and they said yes! Next month rolls around - high bill again - I call and they apologize again and get it down to $92 for me. I complain about that because I am not understanding why the $88 isn't just locked in...??? I pay the $92 thinking there's some fees or something maybe some pro rated time I'm not accounting for... Month 3 rolls around and the bill is high again and by this point I'm livid, I don't want to call in every single month! Ridiculous!! So I call and they tell me they have no clue how I ever paid $88/mth, ALL of the previous people I talked to were liars and they cannot honor the $88, $86, or even $92 price. I said that I'd like to cancel everything at that point because I could NOT BELIEVE the level of mistrust and dishonesty I had just been given and that's when they dropped the bomb on me that I was in contract for that supposed year they'd lock in for me again! I told them I called to cancel months ago and the only reason I stayed was because they told me a certain price. They didn't honor that price so I feel the contract is void! They absolutely said there was no way to avoid cancellation fees and they'd send me to collections. I even called Corporate and they agreed that I was locked into the cancel fee. I paid one more month and then promptly switched back to Comcast, they are extremely high priced but they've never lied to me about it! I'll take that any day over downright thieves and liars. The most disgusting display of business practice or customer service I've ever seen not to mention been a victim of. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Frontier for anything. read more
