This is the second experience with uBreak. The store is small but does have two seats to wait on service to get with you or to be completed. The on line scheduling process was easy to use. Each time I showed up early the attendant got me started without waiting. The attendant was as friendly as a technician type person could be. During my first time...the attendant sized up my Xbox problem and gave me wise advice. I decided not to have them fix the issue as it wasn't worth the cost. On this occasion...my problem was easy. I needed a battery changed on my iPhone. When I got there they didn't have a battery to replace it with. This despite knowing three days in advance that they needed one for this model. Then I hit a text an hour before my appointment reminding me to come in...to replace the battery I need that they didn't have. So..they wanted my time. Though they offered to order the battery and fix the phone in four additional days. The good news is they gave my a referral to store they solved my problem the same day. read more

When our 5+ year old Switch started having charging issues in late September it was clear the charging port had become worn or damaged, comparing it with my brother in law's newer Switch. Never having had to send a gaming console in for repair, I researched extensively and uBreakiFix seemed highly rated and reviewed. Little did I know I was about to embark on the most bizarre and unprofessional repair journey of my life. At first blush, I was very encouraged. The storefront looked professional with a small foyer and massive LCD screens behind the counter touting all of the range of dynamic electronic fixes. The front desk staff (Patrick S) was prompt and assessed my Switch. At this point I had transferred some data off and the screen was still functioning which they marveled at but the console was down to 20% power with no way to recharge. The quoted $150 for HDMI port parts and labor with a 1-2 week with a 10/10/23 pick up date from 9/26/23 drop off seemed reasonable. I was hopeful when I received an encouraging tracking email. After about 1.5 weeks of no news, I wanted to check in. The online tracker lacked any information beyond "Repair in Progress" The clerk informed me that the replaced HDMI port wouldn't allow it to charge and they had ordered an additional part for a broken screen and were awaiting shipment. Why hadn't I been notified to this change? Why was the screen no longer working when it did at drop off? There was no explanation. I was told I'd receive a call when the repair was finalized. An additional week and a half droned on with no updates from the team, no changes in the tracker. Finally I called only to be told it was declared unrepairable and the screen no longer powered on, which it had upon drop off. I understood that not all devices can be repaired but why hadn't they given me any indication of the status change? I pleaded with them to transfer my data to microSD at least so I can recover and transfer to a new device. I went there in person 4 hours after the call only to be informed my device was in pieces and couldn't be reassembled that day. Days rolled by with no call. Now my device had been held hostage for a month. Calls to the store no longer rang through and I waited on hold for nearly an hour. My wife started to call repeatedly later that week only to have the line completely disconnected. She drove out in person to see a store closed for maintenance. Any calls to customers? Zero! Any reasoning given? None! Any timeline for resolution? Absent! She escalated the ticket to Assurion corporate, they had little else to share. It was only through other reviewers that it became apparent there was a cockroach infestation and likely they had to completely shutter their operation for an extended extermination. Just yesterday my wife liberated our still busted Switch. I maybe among the few able to articulate how unnecessarily stressful and unprofessional this repair process has been but I'm certain there were hundreds of customers impacted that I'm speaking on behalf of. If you think, as I did, that a local repair shop with corporate quality assurance is enough, think again. Better to ship directly to the manufacturer than to deal with this store's uncommunicative approach. Will never return and hope you can avoid this place as well. read more

Next thing I know they weren't answering my calls - drove to the shop, sign on door saying we are closed please go to our other location... drove to other location. We are closed. Wow. read more

Absolutely the best. I was unable to receive or make calls on my cell phone. My phone was fixed in 5 minutes. This is the second time I have used uBreakiFix. Each time what needed to be done to fix what I brought in was done in front of me and explained as the gentleman worked on, this time my phone, first time my computer. I called for a quote and availability on a screen repair. They answered quickly that they had the screen, it seemed to quick. Then told me I needed to make an appointment. I made one immediately for the same day and repeated the location and time back to scheduler. Told me they could have work done in a few hours and made the extended warranty pitch. After leaving work, to make the 1 PM appointment, I arrive to find that the store is closed on Monday. I knock on door to see if someone is there and someone looks around corner of partition and turns away. I knock again, nothing. I called back and a different person picks up phone. This person says that not everyone knows the schedule of individual stores and sorry for the problem, and ask, "Can I send you to another store 8 miles away." Like I should assume he knows if that one is open. I drove down the street and took my business to another place. read more

called yesterday and made an appointment with someone to fix my xbox the next day on sunday at 5pm. showed up today and the door was locked and said it's closed on sundays and mondays. so why would an employee give me an appointment at a time they're not even open?!?!! inconsiderate of this place to do that. i even had to drive 30 minutes all the way out there. funny thing is is that the place sent me a confirmation saying my appointment was today at 5 and still no one was there. read more

The hours listed are completely inaccurate. There is no communication with customers regarding change in hours or availability. I was assured I would be able to pick up my phone during business hours on a Saturday (I dropped the phone of Friday for a simple screen repair that takes less than 20 minutes). There was no one at the store and no one answering the phones. They are not open Sunday or Monday. I use my phone for work and I cannot go 3 days without availability for patients. This is completely unacceptable. read more

I have to say it, don't go anywhere else! I brought in my iphone after going back and forth with tmobile and apple as to why my phone was losing cellphone reception randomly. My friend at tmobile suggested I talk to Taylor at ubreakifix. I took it in and Taylor looked in the settings said he needed to open it up to check something. 20 Minutes later he calls me and tells me there was a defect and it should be covered by my warranty because I haven't had the device for long. Just got a replacement device and couldn't be happier. I hope Taylor gets to see this he answered my problem in 20 minutes when apple and tmobile couldn't answer me in a week. read more

I've ran into many issues with trying to get my phone repaired. I have insurance through asurion and continued striking out on getting my phone repaired that way. They recommended going into this location to get my phone repaired. I called this particular location and spoke with a woman at the store the day before to ensure they have all the parts needed to repair my phone. She stated they had the proper parts so I confirmed my noon appointment with them the next day. I arrived at noon, which also 4 others arrived at the same time. After waiting 20 minutes to get in the gentlemen at the counter pulled our information asurion sent over. He removed the screen protector from our cracked screen. He went back to verify they had the parts then came back many minutes later and stated they didn't. The communication and professionalism is very much lacking. This was very inconvenient and a waste of a 45 minute drive. Would never go back here to get any phone repaired. read more
