It will cost you $50 restocking fee, $100 early termination fee, and 1 months fee (no proration); and $150 + tax if equipment hasn't been returned, so be sure to keep your receipt from UPS. I'm in North Carolina. Frontier's internet is truly terrible. Getting them on the phone to help with issues has been unreal, and once you do, they cannot guarantee any speed. I clocked the internet at less than 2mb/second over 30 times. I have no idea how we're even streaming a single tv show. It goes out completely about once a month for 1-24 hours. When I cancelled, they charged me to ship the equipment, and they charged me a "restocking fee" and they charged me for the entire month even though it was 2 days into the month. We have been Frontier customers since they were Verizon. We've had 100 mbps forever and recently our router went down and a service tech changed out our equipment and because they no longer offered the lower speed, we had to increase our speeds to 500. Our tv shows began buffering and lagging and come to find out, the adapter that was installed was outdated. A new one was ordered but never arrived and after 12 days without any service and a second call a new adapter was received. But, that didn't work either. Today is day 13 without service and countless hours spent on the phone with technical support. And a service tech can't be here until Saturday which is 5 days away. We've had nothing but issues with Frontier with nothing resolved. Time to look for a new internet service. Frontier needs to up their game and do right by their customers. read more

What followed was nearly four hours of repeated calls, where I was transferred between multiple representatives, placed on long holds, and disconnected several times. The last agent I spoke with, Abby, was the only one who made a genuine attempt to investigate, ultimately suggesting I contact the Retention Team this morning. Unfortunately, after another call at 8:00 - 10:00 AM today, I am met with the same circular conversations, repeated order intake, and no resolution. This is now beyond frustrating -- it is negligent. At this stage, I am demanding: A technician dispatched today, Saturday, August 23, to complete the installation. Immediate escalation to a dispatch manager or regional supervisor. Written confirmation of the corrective action being taken. Compensation for the missed appointment, wasted hours, and disruption to business operations. If this cannot be resolved immediately, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Public Utilities Commission, escalate through state regulators, and review alternative providers. Absolutely ridiculous experience with Frontier. Some representatives were very helpful. But for the most part we were kept in very much in the dark. Our wifi went out at the start of May and we had to repeatedly call to get someone to come out. When they did, they sat on their phone in their truck and did nothing. We continued to call after this every day to try and get some help. Representatives didn't seem to have any helpful information. After a couple weeks, a supervisor was finally able to tell us a part had been broken and she ordered it for us. This alone took two weeks for them to tell us. After days of not hearing back, we began calling daily again. It took a while for someone to finally tell us another technician had STOLEN the part. Assuming they would order a new one and get it done we left it at that. Another week of nothing. Calling everyday with no help. Finally just told us today it would take 30-60 days to get a new part. WORST situation I have ever experienced from day 1! I agreed to and signed up for one deal and it changed with every person I spoke with. The install was done incorrectly, the service was worse than Spectrum and never worked correctly. I had no access to my account because the person who signed me up entered my email wrong, my name was spelled wrong and I could not get verified without accessing my account. They had to snail mail a PIN to verify me to access my account to see what I was signed up for and how much. Hours on the phone, self serve diagnostics in the middle of tax time deadlines and finals for my kid with intermittent internet. Wires cut and hanging from my roof. Line run along the house was hanging down, swinging in the wind, knocking against the house and window. They sent equipment to self install, when it didn't work either, I just disconnected it and hooked up my original set up with Spectrum to have service. Thank goodness I didn't disconnect! Tech appointments were cancelled without our knowledge, one came outside the appointment time when I was not home and marked me a "no show". After a couple more hours on the phone, another appointment scheduled and then, more equipment installed with tech when he finally arrived and confirmed the install was not right. He called another tech for backup help and never did get my Daughters computer connection right. Frontier charged me for the service call to fix the issues they goofed with the install, then when I gave up and said come get your stuff and cancel my account that I was never able to use, they billed for early dissconnect and "restocking" the equipment that was never used. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT going with Frontier. I paid in protest because I had already wasted so much time trying to get the service working and then the billing corrected, I could not lose any more time. NOTHING professional about this company! I in a second person spent 20 minutes talking about how first person put it in the system wrong she finally ordered a technical my home. The technical person said that the line was cut and was gonna get another person to come out and repair it. The third person came out to repair it and found out that the first person put absolutely nothing into the system for him to know what line and where it was cut. He said he to gain access to two my homes in the condominium below . Here's the situation with Frontier. When, yes, WHEN their service is up and running it is a great service. However when there are issues, you can't get a live person for help. And once you do get someone after an hour or so in hold and dealing with their crap Giga chat service, you get subpar service. I have been waiting for a tech since Sunday. Yes I've been without service since Sunday. Mind you I'm a remote worker and I need my service to work and pay bills. This outage has already cost me thousands of dollars in commissions and a huge contract with my job, putting my job in jeopardy. They don't care!!! Sad honest truth. Frontier has been awful! My internet never worked. I spent 5 hours over a month texting with many different "people" all giving me different answers. They ended up sending me a new box and that didn't work. Their installation was sloppy - they left behind yards of cable hidden inside a cabinet. Horrible business. Horrible call center setup. Long wait time, hard to hear 3rd party customer service techs and supervisors. High background noise, delayed answers, hard to understand. Repeat tech appointments that cancelled or rescheduled 5 minutes prior to the huge 8-5 window they provide just absolutely wasting your personal or business accounts. We have one of each and they are both ran horribly. The same with the contractors they hire to do their overhead work. Just absolutely kicking the can down the road. Today is day 17 without service to our business and it will be 23 days without service IF the contractor that's coming out on the 17th will do their job without cancellation or issue to delay. And the other big time waster is they don't communicate just reschedule so you are forced to escalate if you want to get service back. We even had a crappy supervisor erase elaborate notes in the system so when we called again they are left clueless and unhelpful! I've contacted Frontier customer support numerous times, and each interaction has yielded different explanations--blaming equipment, neighborhood congestion, or "pending escalations." I was scheduled for a technician visit which was later canceled without notice. Even one of the representatives I spoke with informally admitted the system had known issues and freely gave his name and employee ID--clearly aware of the ongoing problems. To date, no resolution has been provided. I've spent hours on hold, repeated my situation to multiple agents, and still have no consistent or dependable internet. I'm now seriously considering switching providers even if it means slower speeds, just to regain stability. At this point, I am requesting either: A full refund for the months of unreliable service, or The ability to cancel my service without early termination fees, due to Frontier's failure to provide the product as advertised. Run away! These guys are a nightmare! After three years of trying to get them to put my building into a serviceable database even though all my neighbors had it, I ordered Internet service. I was in my office one day and heard somebody on my roof and went outside and asked what he's doing he said he was the frontier installer hanging the drop on the building and I told him he should knock on the door before you walk on peoples roofs. At that time I remembered I need to order phone service also with the fiber service that's getting installed next week. I called several times was transferred to many different people none of which could help me by adding phone service to my pending order. The last person I spoke with EI asked her if she could cancel the service and she said yes and so I told her to cancel it, the next day frontier was calling me asking me why and I told them if I can't even order service what happens if there's an outage? The lady offered me first, one month than, two months free service and I told her I don't care if it's free24 seven 365 I don't want your service if you have no customer service. Fast forward two months one of my tenants in my triplex ordered frontier they came on the drop while I was gone on the roof without knocking on doors again! The drop is wrapped around the phone drop and he pounded the attachment hook into my roof flashing! When I got home and saw that the drops were rubbing against each other I called frontier they came out they remove the one drop they fix the other one and now they're sending their insurance investigator to pay me before pounding a P hook into my flashing on my roof. What company would show up get on your roof and start attaching things to your building without so much as a phone call an appointment or even knocking on the door! After reading all these reviews I am so glad that I did not order service from this nightmare company. I used to work in the cable business for 30 years and now I do pole violations and they are violated all over the city and so it's time for me to start writing complaints. I requested a way in which to get CNN several times. I spent at least 1/2 hour talking about 2 tv's in my new home. One was supposed to work in my bedroom, about 32' from the Eero. I was told that I could watch CNN by watching YouTube. Unfortunately ever time I searched for You Tube, my tv would send ads to sign up for SLING!!! When trying to get help from Frontier, I was told that I had to be in front of my tv where I've moved! I've been promised that I will have CNN for $62.00 more every month when I get YOU TUBE TV. With the costs of living going up i decided to inquire with switching to frontier for fast and cheaper internet vs. spectrum. The first rep i spoke to took my address down to see if hard wired internet was available. I forgot to ask about price locks so when i called back i spoke to a woman who sounded like she didn't want to talk to me and had attitude so i got off that call quick. I called a third time to hopefully get someone with better attitude and they transferred me to the wrong department. The last person i was on the phone with was nicer and asked for address and call back ph# but when she asked for an email i said i dont use email. I did lie because i didnt want to receive unnecessary emails but she said she had to see if there was a way to bypass it because she couldnt proceed to quote me anything without one. I had work so i told her never mind and hung up. I dont work for frontier so i cant confirm the need of taking an email down other than surveys and ads but the fact i just asked how long is their price lock for a certain plan and she couldnt quote me without an email annoyed me. Ive read so many reviews of them not honoring the price locks and bad customer service. Im sticking with spectrum mainly for that good customer service. read more

DO NOT USE FRONTIER INTERNET I should have the heeded the AWFUL reviews, but I thought, how bad can it be? Turns out, really bad. Representatives lie to you constantly. Promise anything to get you to sign up and keep you from canceling. Very hard to get any live person on the phone, but even when you do, it's no help. In my case, was told my address was good to go for fiber optic, we found out they would need the trench.My yard to install their line. After discovering this, I told them I would need to get approval from the HOA. After arguing with me about it, they said they wouldn't move until I had the necessary approval. Next day they send me a text saying they're sending the crew to do the install. I told him that can't happen without approval. They said they would hold it up. They didn't. Crew comes to my door ready to dig in the yard. I sent them away. Then, they kept trying to send a crew to do the other part of the install; the part inside the house. I said I didn't want install inside the house until the fiber optic was run to my house. I can imagine being on the hook for an install with no internet service. Now they've missed two appointments to drop the fiber optic cable and do the install. Huge waste of my time and I don't appreciate it. And I have a rule about NOT doing business with those I don't trust, AND I DO NOT TRUST FRONTIER FOR CABLE INTERNET SERVICE. read more

I switched from spectrum to frontier once their fiber connection was available in our area (northridge). I did this because at my other location I had at&t fiber for 3 years and NEVER had a problem and attributed that to the connection being 'fiber'. Frontier fiber has to be one of the least stable connections in the nation. Take a look at the picture I added to this review. It's a screen shot from downdetector- a site you'll frequent if you sign up with frontier. I made sure to include the date so that you can see its from the same date as this review. Nothing but service outages. What makes these frequent outages even more frustrating to deal with is that the EERO modem they give you is worthless. The service indicator light is WHITE when it should be RED because theres no service. I called their customer service and during the call, the internet started working all of a sudden ... BUT when i asked the representative what he saw on his end, he said my internet was still down.... what? Then he said sorry, the next available date for a tech to come and fix whatever is the 4th of july from 1-5pm.... so stay home. Not only is this company costing me money (i work from home) but now they're telling me how i need to spend my day off. Unfortunately i need internet so i'll be spending my 4th of july waiting for this pathetic company to fix and provide me the service they're contractually obligated to provide as long as I pay their outrageous monthly fees. Before they bought out Verizon I had FIOS and loved it. Then Frontier took over and things went downhill. I ended up requesting just WiFi at $50/month...which increased to $94.49/mo. After 11 1/2 yrs, I cancelled service at the end of December 2025. Then received another invoice for January at the full amount. When I contacted them to question it, I was told the December billing went to 12/28 and because I had it for 3 days into the next billing cycle, I was required to pay for the entire month. No one ever informed me when I called to cancel at the end of the month that was the deal...no prorating it, just full on the entire month. I will NEVER recommend or use Frontier ever again. I made the mistake on not paying attention to reviews. Avoid them unless you want to be ripped off for extremely poor service. I signed up for their internet promotion of 29.99/month. Before signing up I confirmed that there was no annual contract. However they starting charging me 59.99/month. When I disconnected service they have charged me 82.74 for early termination and 50.00 for equipment return for a total of 131.15. I am planning on suing them via small claims court for deception and fraud. read more

I called and was routed to different teams but they didn't offer me a better deal. So, I switched back to Spectrum. Frontier charged me a termination fee and a restocking fee. They also charged me an additional month service fee even though I've disconnected service. I've used their text message system to contact them, because they don't provide a phone number for customer service, to get the extra charge back. It's been over 2 months and 5+ texting sessions and I still don't have the refund. It never takes this long for them to take my money nor do they pay me any interest. Just had the THIRD team of Frontier sales people intentionally ignore my "No Soliciting" sign and knock on my door. As if that wasn't bad enough, rather than just saying "sorry" and leaving, they are rude and insist that the are not soliciting. Instead, they just keep talking and trying to tell me about their "new" internet capacity until I finally just have to shut the door on them. They never ever say "sorry." If they are THAT rude and uncaring when they are trying to get someone to sign up for their service, imagine how little help they will be once they get your money. I say "your money" because I will certainly never give them any of my money.
