Frontier Fiber completely failed without warning. After troubleshooting everything on my end, the ONT showed a red Optical light, indicating a fiber signal issue. There were no reported outages, yet the earliest technician appointment was several days away. In today's world, reliable Wi-Fi isn't a luxury--it's a necessity for work, school, communication, and daily life. Firstly, I will say that whenever I had a problem with service, Frontier would send a technician promptly - I'll give them that. What my complaint is about is disconnecting service. I makes no sense to me why they "can't" pro-rate the last bill if it's disconnected within the billing cycle. ?? With all the technology... they can't pro-rate? I had to pay a "restocking fee" when returning the eero unit. I suppose they (I) have to pay The UPS Store to ship the unit back. My billing cycle went from the 18th - 17th of the each month - and once I returned the unit via The UPS Store my service was disconnected on the 1st of the month within the billing cycle. Why should I pay for the whole cycle? and when the next person at the address opens an account the next day - they collect double? Seems unfair to me. read more

One of my family members got me call frontier for phone and internet service,Shes on medical devices so a landline type is needed,I set the appointment and made sure i was present.The frontier tech showed up at 9 am but had a hard time locating the fiber since a sub contractor hired by frontier pulled the new fiber in to the house since its underground.4 hrs the job was done, I left the job called my family member the number didnt go thru, called frontier tech help for 45 mins ..They need to send another tech but it will not be till 2 day from now,I told them this is need for medical equipment..They told me its the best they can do and if its not there equipment for the problem there a $150 charge.I told them this service been in less then 6 hrs..They just dont care !!! Wow horrible, horrible insane costumer service!?!? Whoever set up the AI bot prompt is a simpleton. We're switching our service and trying to give them money and we get deposited to some crazy non-human answering service that hangs up on you. When you do talk to somebody they want way too much information. It's a utility company, we aren't asking for a mortgage.!? Unfortunately Comcast Xfinity isn't any better. Somehow the Internet has been co-opted by massive corporations that take our money but care less for customer service. You're lucky you get one star, you certainly don't deserve it. Internet and wifi is great but the customer is absolutely terrible. I have been trying to switch my house number over from optimum, for about a month an a half and have gotton no where. I kept getting told the same stuff and I am tired of it. I need to pay for both plans so my house number doesnt get erased, and when asking for the supervisor they told me they could not comply. horrendous customer service don't recommend!! read more

I usually don't write reviews especially negative reviews but people need to know this company is complete ass. It's not worth the money nor the headache. Save yourself the trouble and get Optimum if you can or Starlink or whatever cause you will regret getting Frontier. They don't even deserve 1 star, I award them 0 stars. TLDR: -Internet quality is trash even though you'll pay for 1 gig of fiber. -Customer service is trash as its very hard to find a real person to help you and when you do they don't really help you. I've also been hung up on because she couldn't help me. -Hidden fees and bs fees. -Company is just full of lies about what they offer. Story: So an agent came to my place to sell me Frontier and I already was gonna say no because I knew how trash they were years ago. He told me after much time passed over the years they got better so I believed him and we talked about everything. With Frontier I would be paying half the price of Optimum for 2 times the internet data with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I kept my Optimum just in case and tried out the Frontier. Once I got Frontier I did a speed check and instead of 1 gig I got 700 mbps standing over the router and 300 mbps in my room which was right next door to the router. Wild! Even so everything was lagging hard and I was just shocked at how terrible Frontier actually was so after about 2 weeks of garbage Frontier internet I decided to cancel. It took forever to get a real person over the phone as and even then it's as if no one is on the same page on the deal you signed. After like 20 minutes of explaining myself to the customer service rep she finally agreed that I did sign for a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and she told me she'd cancel the $214 bill that I would have to pay to cancel my internet and that I didn't have to pay anything. 2 weeks later my account was charged for $69. I called again and took forever again to reach a rep. Again after explaining myself for 20 minutes she agreed that I had a 30 day satisfaction guarantee but because I was charged the only way to refund would be at the end on October through a prepaid card??? I've never seen a company do anything like that. I was pissed so I just accepted my fate at that point and removed my card info and auto pay from my account on their site. A week later they sent me a bill for $75 for early termination of my account. This company is a joke. I called again and you can bet it took longer this time to reach them before and the rep this time denied my 30 day satisfaction guarantee and told me I would have to pay all the hidden fees they don't tell you about when you sign up or it'll be sent to collections. I was furious cause I was still texting the agent and he repeatedly tells me I have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee but no one is on the same page in that company. I haven't even gotten hooked up yet and they canceled my installation without telling me, gave me the run around with about 10 or so different numbers to call, all to have go through the painful prompts to finally talk to a human just to be given a different number to call. I haven't talked to anyone who speaks clear English but tells me their name is " James." it's been 2 weeks with no installation date in sight, and my Comcast cable is being shut off soon. This is a bad look for frontier since I haven't even gotten my installation yet, and I'm already having problems. I can't believe I never wrote this up before. It's a long (LONG) story, but the short version is: I am still so angry with Frontier that their commercials make me want to throw things, because (for one thing) literally every person I spoke to at Frontier lied to me. And there were quite a few of them. Slightly longer version: my contract with Comcast was ending. I researched. I remembered the absolutely scathing reviews of Frontier when they first came to Connecticut. But - that was years ago, they have to have improved, right? And they were so much cheaper than Comcast. I booked an appointment on a Saturday (yay) for installation. And thus began the single worst experience I've ever had with any company in the history of experiences. And I've bought furniture from Bob's. Yelp doesn't allow a word count long enough for the full and rant-y version this story deserves, so: Installer arrived, did some poking around, vanished. For two hours. Didn't answer when I called the cell number on the card he gave me. Apparently he'd had to go do something at the pole. OK. Came back. Complained this was going to make him late going home. Said he had to get into the basement. Went down there, back to my kitchen, up to the attic, out to his truck, lather, rinse, repeat. At some point, my 92-year-old landlord came up to my apartment to say the installer must have done something, because their landline wasn't working. Installer was informed. Eventually - I'm sure the fact that it was five o'clock was coincidental - installer said "I have to go out to my truck". And from his truck he called me and said he'd gone as far as he could, that more work was needed outside the house, and he'd have to come back "tomorrow morning" with help to finish up. Someone would call me (he said vaguely), but I wouldn't have to let anyone in; they could finish everything outside, and I'd see the blue globe on the router that meant everything was up and running. OK. I didn't mention the landlord's phone because I assumed he'd fixed it. He hadn't. I spent an indecent amount of time with Frontier customer service troubleshooting, and finally told them whoever was coming to finish my job next day needed to do something about it while they were here. CSR: "They're coming back tomorrow? Great! I'll put notes on here to make sure someone checks the phone." OK. No blue globe showed up the next day. No installer, either. And my landlord's phone was still out. I called. CSR: Oh - well, it's Sunday. The techs don't work on Sundays. Me: THEN WHY DID HE TELL ME HE WOULD BE BACK TODAY?! CSR: Verbal shrug. But they'll be out tomorrow, k? Between 8 and 12. Monday Frontier called to reschedule my appointment. I was unhappy about this, particularly because I was expected to work from home the next day. I went back to Comcast. They had me up and running in, like, three minutes. But it took me 2 people and nearly an hour to terminate the service I never had, and I had to fight tooth and nail against being billed for the absolute dumpster fire of a service call I'd had. Me: What about your router which I never had the chance to use? CSR: Our nearest location is about an hour away from you... Me: I wouldn't cross the street to return this thing, you can send me a prepaid mailer. CSR: (eventually) *sigh* Fine I never got a mailer. I asked for one by phone, email, chat, and smoke signal. Anyone need a completely unused Frontier branded router? A month later, I received an email from Frontier confirming my new appointment. I got on Frontier "customer service" chat again. It started to sound like they were pranking me at this point. But no - some other poor sod should have gotten that message. Oops. I asked for their actual email address so I could warn them against proceeding with Frontier; for some reason they ignored my request. The cherry on top of the whole saga: apparently these other people were getting internet for about $5 a month less than I was promised. read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. As a new customer any service should go above and beyond to show they want customers. Not frontier.... My appointment was from1-5. Tech was a no show. I reached out through chat and was told that the appointment was moved since the tech did not have any ports. Which was a lie. After going through hoops to get a customer service rep I was told sorry but we sent texts and emails with updates that no techs were available for my appointment since there was so many call outs. Mind u only thing I received was a confirmation text at 8 am for my appointment. The rep offered a free month as if that was okay I wanted service if I wanted a free month I would wait a month without service. At this point I still have free service. After asking for a supervisor I was told I have to wait 1-2 days. So at this point get service through any one but frontier they could careless about customers read more
