I hired Ed a few years back and the first interaction was off! He introduced me to one of his worker's and told me that he worked for food, Working for a non profit I didn't think this as funny! I found out later that the worker was his own Brother who walked with a very noticable gait and looked way underweight. The work completed was done well and Quickly done by the guy who works for food his own Brother. I met this man later at dunkin donuts in New Britain ct. and we talked outside where this man told me about a life of abuse at the hands of ed the phone guy and he also told me that ED the phone guy never paid him! So it appears Ed The phone Guy wasn't kidding when he said this man {His Brother} worked for food ! Really ED ? So happy with his previous work and another Job being planned I had Ed the phone guy investigated. I found out that ED was the CEO of Hartford and Boston Telephone companies in the 1980s , He had a vice President who ran Boston Telephone Company. He sold both companies and signed a Non competition agreement with the buyer which stated that he would no longer do work in the telephone business. He broke this signed agreement and started working as Ed the phone Guy! I also found out that his vice President who ran the Boston Telephone company was screwed out of any proceeds of the sale of the 2 companies when they were sold. I am glad that I looked closer at Ed the phone guy before giving him any more work. I hired another company to do the work with a owner who knows to keep his word and doesn't talk down to the less fortunate even if its his brother working for food !
