How can I give these guys 0 stars? I'd been a FIOS customer for 8 years. I was surprised to get the notice of the switch to Frontier. Since they took over, I had the wifi go off and on, and then I called to add a channel. It took an hour to get a hold of someone. The rep seemed confused and didn't seem to know the processes involved. I was told it would take a month to add a channel. Called another time with a similar experience. Tried to chat through the app and the wait time was shorter- 50 minutes.... So I switched to brighthouse. And the cancellation with Frontier took 3 days- what the heck, and it seems as if they don't care at all! read more

I would give them zeros stars..They charge $75 to connect their own service. They charge a whole month even if you turn your service off after 10 days. The internet service is crappy and not reliable. Maybe, because the internet service is connected through a phone jack. I had service all of 11 days and I get a statement of 197.72. With the Rep asking if I receive a collection notice. You made me wait til May 31 to get a notice, its only July 10th. I never received a June 1st statment either. I have called Frontier 4 or 5 times about this service and poof now the Rep is stating its nothing in the comments on this acct. Im sure they dont have many customer so they're making up the shortage by installation fees and billing montly regardless effective the disconnect date. Spectrum matches them and free connection. Frontier took over my Verizon service. It has been a complete nightmare for the past two months. I had a black screen for weeks (not even basic cable) and my internet was hit or miss and mostly not able to connect. There is not a day where I don't have to unplug my modem and pray it reconnects so I don't have to spend Two hours on the phone with technicians who have no idea what they're doing. I am running a business from my home and they have set me back so far and made it impossible to ship orders. I have given this company too many chances & way more money than they deserve. On June 7, 2016 I booked an internet installation appointment for June 24, 2016. June 24: Friday came and went. We received a phone call at the end of the day that they were short on technicians and no one would be out. Not only did our employee need to clear their schedule to ensure availability, but our landlord had to do the same. Fine. These things happen. I rescheduled the appointment for Monday, June 27. I was assured that we were the first appointment of the day. June 27: Monday came and went. No first appointment. No appointment at all. Again, we received a phone call at the end of the day informing us no one would be out that day. Not only did our landlord make themselves available again, our alarm company had to reschedule their installation. Again, I rescheduled the appointment for Tuesday, June 28. I was assured that we were the first appointment of the day. June 28: You guessed it. Tuesday came and went. I was on the phone with them three times trying to get a technician out. I was told there was an issue with our ticket and it was never entered into the system. I was offered a credit of $100 towards our install fee of $150. They couldn't even be bothered to credit the whole thing. I asked to speak to supervisor to get something in writing. I was told there was no supervisor available but I would receive a phone call back. I wanted something in writing confirming we were the first appointment for the next day. I was told there is no way to ensure that, they only have a window of 8-5 (how was I being promised first appointment before then?). Going on day 4 with no internet for our business and Frontier cannot get their act together. read more

Had frontier service transferred from one location to another about 5 months ago . It took over a month to have my phone number transferred . My landscaper cut the cable line over 2 weeks ago and it took Frontier over 2 weeks to come fix it . No tv , no internet and no phones . I have 2 kids 3yrs and 1yr and we rely on tv shows and internet for their tablets to keep them occupied while we do day to day task in which we were unable to. When they finally came to fix my service it was down again within the hour and when I called they wouldn't send him back out I called tech support and we reset everything 5 times and nothing worked. Finally rescheduled for a tech to come out and fix it and nobody showed up. My wife is furious. We just called and scheduled spectrum to come out . They will buy out our bill . We will have 400/400 internet which is 250/250 faster internet and the triple play bundle with red zone for the same amount of money . $181.17 This place will sell you the dream and let you live a nightmare . IF YOU CANCEL, DO NOT PAY THE LAST BILL. I didn't realize that the monthly bill is for the next month's service. I cancelled a month ago resulting in a balance of negative $60. I talked to their customer support and they said that yes they owe me $60, but they will not send a check until 3 months from now. So it will be a total of 4 months after I cancelled service before they give me my money. Apparently there is nothing I can do other than warn everyone else. Do not pay your last bill until a month after service is cancelled. It takes them that long to determine the final balance. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars I would! Do NOT go with this Internet company! You are forewarned. I bought Verizon FioS Frontier bought them out and the trouble began. Multiple phone calls to Nicaragua where their service center REALLY is each one upwards of an hour and I got a whopping $26 off the bill. Mind you in paying for internet speeds of 100 Mbps in both directions and my average on Frontier is 10% of that!! Did they take 90% off my bill? Certainly not! They are very well rehearsed its Verizon's old equipment- nope had great service on this equipment till they took over. It's my computer - nope same answer plus I do regular clean ups AND that doesn't explain my other devices. Then there's the fact that the wifi no longer works throughout the house so they wanted to sell me an extender! SELL ME!! Since my contract is less than a year they want more than $130 to release me and wow I didn't even sign a contract with them I signed it with Verizon. Is the FCC working for the people anymore or were they ever? Is there a class action suit yet I'll jump on board. These guys are terrible and they don't even give a damn that they are!!! Obnoxious inconsiderate company....Applied for service as a new customer and they where a no show on the day of installation. Called the day after I applied for service because I did not receive a confirmation email . They had the wrong email after repeating it several times at application. Corrected the address and was sent the wrong email to confirm the correct email. Received a text the day of installation to confirm or cancelled .Replied confirm. They never showed so I called and was told they where behind schedule that day and was told I would need to reschedule with no compensation for my time or a apology . They have no customer service email or address to file a complaint just a number they say maybe recorded so they can delete anything they don't like. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had with any company,After pleading with them to install my DSL for 2 weeks past the due date with multiple chats and promise for weekend delivery that I waited for ,I gave up and went to another provider. Then they sent me a bill for the service,several more hours on the phone late and all they did was send me to collections,i obviously refused to pay.Now after several more hours on the phone trying to clear the only bad mark on my credit,they are extorting me for the charges. I'd write a review here but seems like it's a waste of time. Looks like everyone already knows that this place is a piece of S#!t. They canceled my service installation date without me knowing. I was called to see about rescheduling my date for the next day and left a VM staying we would like to come in the following day but if we do not hear from you we will keep your current scheduled time (the 4hr window ofcourse, 8-12) and date. So I did not call back and when it didn't seem like anyone was showing today I called and they said that my entire account was put on hold because I didn't call back to change the date. Did I ask you to put my account on hold or try to change my date. NO. In fact you stated on the voicemail that my date would not be changed. Now when you call and tell them hey you screwed up fix it. I get the we don't care and there's nothing we can do. I work 24hr shifts and plan my days when I actually get off or don't get recalled for work. So the lack of any sort of caring from the supervisor in Florida customer service shaniqua (my apologize if I didn't spell it correct) is awesome. My favorite line from a company that should be specializing in customer service is I'm sorry there is nothing we can do. That is the equivalent of (f*€k you we don't give a S#!t about you as a customer, we have plenty others) andddd it seems like she was way more happy to cancel my service completely as a new customer then helping at all. My experience with Frontier Communication has been nothing but horrific. I cannot count the amount of times I have called them to resolve issues. If you are planning to receive any kind of service from this company, be prepared to do the same. The only service we had with them was internet, unfortunately, we didn't have any other options. When signing up for the internet, I was given one price and then received different amount on my bill for about 3-4 consecutive months. Every time I would call to resolve an issue, I would get different answers and promises that we're never fulfilled. After loosing some money in the process, it finally stabilized to one price for the rest of my stay at the apartment I was living in. Then it came time for me to move and everything went back to being worse than before. I did everything I could on my end to make sure I wasn't going to run into any more issues with Frontier. I called them in advance and let them know the exact day I was moving out so they would cancel my service. I requested they send me a box for all the equipment I was renting so that I may return it on time. I also spoke with them about the final payments I would need to make so that I would be in the clear once I move. So, once I moved I never received a box for the equipment, having the history I had with them, I called the again, to make sure they send me the box, the lady on the phone told me to not worry about it, in their system, it didn't look like I needed to return it, but I ensisted they send me one because I know how they operate and would want to do everything on my end to make sure I do everything correctly. I finally received a box and sent out the equipment. Along with that issue, I kept on getting bills, full month bills even though I had canceled service on the 9th. I payed them anyway. And then I received another bill for the full amount. That's when I called them AGAIN. Keep in mind, I've never missed a payment or was late on one. Anyway, when calling them, I was told that I have already payed more than I should have. They told me to ignore the letters/bills I was getting and they would stop coming, the system hasn't updated or something like that. Also, I was told, because I over payed, I would the receiving some sort of gift card with the amount I over payed. A few weeks later received another bill for the full amount and ignored it as instructed by the customer service lady on the phone. The next letter I received was from a COLLECTION AGENCY, for the full amount of 1 billing cycle, $44.99. That is what led me to write this review, I really wish I could do more to really get the word out or contact the highest person I can at the company. I had an amazing credit score, I never missed a payment and I got put on collection by this horrible, most awful company. Ofcourse I payed the collection because it was never about the money in the first place. But now my score is affected and I was planning on purchasing a home sometime in the near future. Got a call from the technician while I was at work to tell me he was on his way. I ordered my service without a setup fee so i asked him nicely to leave my modem at my door. The tech never delivered my modem. I've been contacting support for 4 hours. left 2 voicemails for the technician. Then one of the customer support reps told me that they let dispatch know that I'm on my way and would be waiting at their office to give me my modem even though they closed 10 mins before. They never showed up as I waited another hour and drove 30mins. Called support again and everything that I heard contradicted the last representatives responses.. I was warned not to join frontier. Here is another warning to whom this may concern.. Their technicians are lazy. and not to friendly over the phone.. I would have picked it up instead of going home after work to find out he never dropped it off. Waste of my time... never experienced such terrible service in my life nor have I ever written a bad review before. Customer service reps are inconsistent with their knowledge of company policies. I had their service for 5 days and have 4 issues with this company. 1) I needed to have servicemen out for the TV twice. My picture would freeze every 10-15 minutes. I had to go through a process of un plugging the box waiting and then reboot it and wait for the tv to connect. All while missing my program. One tech guy said I couldn't plug the box into a surge protector strip that it needed to be plugged directly into the wall.No that didn't help. 2) I was told by the salesperson that I would pay $142 a month, I then added $10 more when I found out that I would not receive music channels. He had told me 3 times that I would. The next day I noticed that the tier I had in fact did not have music and I called and talked to another salesman who actually said the first guy didn't know what he was talking about. I added the music channels so now my bill is up to $152. I went online the next day and saw my bill was for $195 and freaked out! 3) I decided I had had enough and called to find out what I have to do to stop service, I asked if there was an early termination fee and was told no. I was also told that the unused days would be prorated. I first had to pay the $195 and I would get a refund with a prepaid charge card. The next day when I called to actually disconnect I asked about the refund. A different rep then tells me that I would not get a refund for unused days. They use to do that but last month they changed the policy. Well apparently they didn't tell all the reps about the change and turns out I basically was lied to. Every rep that I talked to in all the departs that they transferred me to told me different things. I think that they use screens and mirrors to get you to sign up and then do whatever they want. Yeah everybody raves about their fast internet but it's not worth dealing with this company. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Do business elsewhere! read more

Terrible service!!!! I called to setup internet at my new apartment and they said they can only ship me a router. They said it would be 3-5 days but it took 10 days to get it. Since it took so long to get the router I decided to go cancel frontier and gowith bright house and have them set it up for me the next day! When frontiers router came I took it to ups to return to sender and ups sent me a letter in the mail saying the package did not get returned to sender due to them moving. I have called (tried) frontier so many times to get this resolved and I can't even get on the phone with a representative. With not even using the service fully, I can already tell how crappy this company is. You can't even get ahold of them if there's a problem and they don't clearly tell you what it is your are being billed for. read more

I received a flyer in the mail last year for $80 package. The flyer specifically says "no contract". I called and spoke to two different sales reps. Bot confirmed there would be no contract. I told them we were considering selling our house and I didn't want a contract. Again I was told the package was no contract. Approximately 8 months later we sold our house. Our new place didn't offer frontier. When I called to cancel our service I was told we had $150 termination fee for cancelling our contract early. I was livid! I asked for a supervisor who was suppose to call me back but never did. So, I had to call them again. The next rep told me they'd still charge me the termination fee even though their service isn't offered in my new area. After complaining to him, he put me on hold. When he returned to the line he said they would just waive the fee. I will never trust frontier again. read more

When cancelling my service I went 1 day over the billing period in which they bill a month in advance for - I paid the whole month bill $156.00 just to protect my credit. was told by supervisor Alex to send a dispute letter in which I did certified return receipt. Never received a signed receipt, sent another one and again nothing. Called several times and cant get no where, never got my dispute letter per another person Robert who says he's a supervisor. Story Time! 7/27/19: Order placed for Frontier services, scheduled for 8/8/19 7/31/19: Date of install updated for 8/2/19 8/2/19 @ 11AM: Called to confirm that we still were receiving an install for services between 8AM-12PM, this was confirmed by the CS rep 8/2/19 @ 12:30PM: Called to see what the delay was and was informed that my order had been cancelled on 7/28/19. According to the CS rep during this call we were informed that a voicemail had been left on 7/28/19 informing us of the cancellation (Fun fact, my wife found and listed to the voicemail and there was no mention of cancelling our service install). The cancellation was caused by existing services still open on the house. I confirmed with the previous owner of the house that services were cancelled, which they dated as 7/31/19. The CS rep and their supervisor said nothing could be done except set up a new service install, which we agreed to do. The new service install date set was 8/6/19 from 8AM-12PM. 8/4/19: Received a text message confirming service install for 8/6/19 from 8AM-12PM 8/5/19: Received a text message confirming service install for 8/6/19 from 8AM-12PM 8/6/19: Received a text message confirming service install for 8/6/19 from 8AM-12PM 8/6/19 @ 11AM: Called to confirm that we still were receiving an install for services between 8AM-12PM, this was confirmed by the CS rep again. I let them know about what happened previously and they assured me that a technician had been dispatched. Also the CS rep let me know the "real" reason our previous service install was cancelled was because we did not have the correct equipment installed in the house for the requested service, NOT because there was already existing services. They also said that the correct equipment had been installed and we were good to go. 8/6/19 @ 12PM: Another no show I really had hoped things would be different this time around, but shame on me for believing ANYTHING yall told me. read more

I changed providers due to a special they were offering yet Frontier has not honored their offer.. I have not received a call back despite written and email requests. Just moved to Tampa and learned prior owner had Frontier so decided to switch from our prior provider (Spectrum) to Frontier so we could just use the existing cable already buried underground. Well, the idiot that came to hook us up stated he couldn't use the existing cable and needed to run a new cable from 2 houses down. He runs this cable across 2 driveways and 2 neighbors yards before running it across my yard, over the top of my fence, across the top of my A/C units and then into the box. He then stated that someone else will come out in a week to 10 days to bury the cable. REALLY! My two neighbors who I have not met yet are suppose to have their yard service mow around this cable going across their years!! To make matters worse, we have 4 TV's in the house and he could only figure out how to hook up 1! He stated we had a problem with our internal wires which he couldn't fix. Yet, the prior owner had all 4 working as I had him leave all the TV's and all electronics so that nothing changed except this idiot that came out to get us hooked up. I would NEVER NEVER recommend Frontier as they are the most incompetent I've ever encountered. Looking to move back to Spectrum! read more
