Pricing was transparent as I selected specifics about what my job would entail. Though you give your credit card info at the time of booking, you aren't charged until the job is completed. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. My tech did arrive late which was the only downside of the experience. Even with that the job was done in an hour. I needed a WiFi thermostat installed and Hello Tech sent an IT person who didn't know the product well enough to know it needed a specific connection - a C-Wire. Please note- this tech was punctual and personable and knows computers very well and was able to set up my home alarm system - but not thermostats. This caused my house to heat up to 92 degrees one day while I was at work - when you selected "cool", heat would come on. The most upsetting part of this experience is that I begged them to send someone else and they refused and sent the same tech. After spending two hours on the phone with India, he was unable to get this new thermostat to work and thankfully he was at least able to connect my old thermostat until I figured out my next move. I called an AC guy who showed up within a few hours and got everything working perfectly in no time. What's really upsetting is when I asked for my money back, Hello Tech instead reimbursed me for the AC guy's work which was $20 less than their charge. How does this make any sense? You sent someone who couldn't complete the work, shouldn't you not charge at all? I will never use Hello Tech again nor will I recommend them. read more

Still no reimbursement from Hellotech for the damage they caused in my home about six months ago. Please avoid this company. See my review from a month ago. Hellotech damaged my front door when installing a SimplySafe system at my home. I had to pay to have it fixed. I was promised that hellotech would reimburse me. They have never sent the check they promised to reimburse me for the damage I had repaired two mo ths ago. Also the technician they sent to install my system totally messed up the installation breaking 3 pieces of the SimplySafe equipment. Beware of this company. read more

I bought a TV at BestBuy. I tried for 1 h to contact them to send their Squad to install, impossible. So i searched online and Yelp, found HelloTech. I scheduled in 5min online, received a confirmation and request for photos to make sure that i had all they needed. The tech was ON TIME, did exactly what was needed. Tech actually made me put my own batteries into tv remote since he said that they were absolved of any liabilities for not properly setting up tv. What? What is it I paid for? Our tech was great! He arrived on time and upon arrival he found that my 84 year old mother's tv stand was not the proper length. He moved the tv stand and placed the tv on the coffee table as an alternative, placed the old tv in the garage for her, and he spent as much time as needed getting her set up. Turning on my computer one morning, I discovered that my mouse didn't work and my cursor was stuck. Nothing I tried worked. Even buying a new mouse and moving the connector to a new USB port didn't work. So, I called HelloTech. The appointment was easy to schedule, the service price fair and the tech they sent...Jose...was amazing! Within an hour, he had diagnosed the issue, solved it, ran a scan on my computer to clean up any malware and showed me a few shortcuts to get better use from my computer.
