A wide assortment of games and sundries. Staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoy my time whenever I enter their establishment.

Gamexchange store on Needmore Rd…read more I usually stop by here on a weekly basis to check out prices and because I dislike Gamestop. Ive bought numerous games and have always supported this place. However, I was treated less than stellar by the larger brown hair male associate today through numerous actions. When I first walked in, I was met with a scowl. Not a happy face, smile, anything positive. Ive worked in retail before and have had bad days myself so I definitely understood that may have been the case. After selecting my video game and walking to the front register I also asked for three coins for the machines that give you little keychains and rubber mascots. Right away was met with an attitude of discontent as if I was interrupting his day. Next, he rang up the $9 game and 3 coins for $4 each so $21 dollars and tax. He says $27 and I asked him 27 to which he repeats it and I asked him then how 12 & 9 plus tax equal 27 dollars after repeating my order CLEARLY. He finally looks down and says "oh I charged you too much." Okay so then after charging my card and printing out the sign copy, he throws the pen on the counter at me. Rude actions again and I was pretty much done with his attitude but walked away to the machine. Looking at the machines they have which models are in each. No disclaimer of a different model/set being inside (which any other place would) so one could assume they would have what was advertised ON the machine inside of it. In fact that was the only reason I bought the tokens for the machine in the first place. No such luck. So after getting three that were not related to the ones advertised on the front of the box, I walked to the front counter and explained to the same guy with the attitude that I bought those tokens for what was advertised and that it was false advertising because what was shown was not what was inside the machine. Apparently I must have damaged the guy's emotions to the point where he was visably upset and had to sigh loudly every 20 seconds as if my money isnt paying his paycheck. He also tried to say that the ones I received were from a newer set yet had no ads up with such info because I would not have bought the tokens if I knew that. After mentioning wanting to talk to a manager he finally gave me three more tokens (he also took back the first 3) After repeatedly saying "my man" every few seconds because apparently saying sir is too much of a feat for him. Oh and couldnt hand me the coins instead just tossing them on the counter. If the manager/owner reads this I hope you know that youre gonna lose business if you allow this kind of blatant disrespect and bad attitude in your store. Id just as much recommend gamestop because i dont have to deal with the crappy attitude and il recommend others do the same.

GREAT gaming store. Definitely the best I've ever been to. The music that plays is game-related and fits the stores vibe perfectly. Their range is so wide and they have such reasonable prices. Definitely a top choice for games and will be coming back soon.

The daughter being done with her Master's program at Vanderbilt was looking for a place to…read moreoffload/sell her nursing textbooks. She found McKay's online and it seemed to be the best place to do that. Wow -- we were not prepared for the massiveness of this super, super busy place! Being our first time and not knowing how it all worked, it didn't take us long to figure out where to go and what to do. There wasn't much of a line when we started. We placed her books in a bin, then waited to be called by a greeter. Our greeter quickly explained the process, gave the daughter a claim ticket, then we waited. In the 40 minutes it took for her claim number to come up on the screen, we were able to walk through most of the sections and pick out a couple things to buy. I was quite surprised to find so many things beyond books -- DVDs, VHS, vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, clothing, Pokémon cards, instruments, game consoles, accessories, Legos, toys, comic books, etc. It was seriously amazing. My daughter decided to take her sale in trade which gave her about 50% more to spend. For the books they didn't buy she was given the option to take them back or donate them there. She chose to donate. The husband loves old movies, art and music -- he will absolutely enjoy McKay's. I can't wait to bring him here! The parking lot is as massive, so I don't think there's ever an issue with that.

I was so excited to get back to McKay's for the first time in years. I was completely taken aback…read moreby the prices of books here now. Many books I found were overpriced for used books. There's no pricing system based on book condition, which would be nice. You may find a book in fair condition and pay the same amount for the same book in excellent condition. Customer service was great as always.
