After providing everything they asked for and several "inspections " and various companies they sent out, after calling them regularly about the claim because their communication was AWFUL, after a month of no response and the mold accumulatin growing by the day from them dragging their feet, they DENIED the claim!! They said it had been vacant for more than 30 days! I had just bought the freaking place and had just renovated it and was in the process of moving in when the pipes burst!!! What a crock of bull!! we had an issue with frontline in processing of claim after Ian impacted our condo in Naples area. Frontline was very inconsistent in the processing of our claim and those of our neighbors. Some of our neighbors received payment in full and others not. All submitted claims with HO 6 policies for the same claim amount but frontline paid in significantly different amounts. Frontline claim adjuster did not communicate or justify his position with the inconsistencies. I switched provider. I would not recommend Frontline. read more

The only reason I picked one star is because it won't allow you to put zero. We had a hail damaged roof that frontline refused to cover claiming it was blistering and wear and tear. In the meantime our neighbors house was covered 100% by Home Site because of their 27 confirmed hail strikes. Their home is 60 foot from ours. Frontline is in a battle with Slide Insurance as the worse possible insurance company you could ever use. Slide went so far as to have their "independent" adjuster to omit the words hail damage from his report. Benjamin told us this on two different occasions. We reported Slide to the state for insurance fraud. But Benjamin told us he has a two year contract with slide and would lose it if he didn't follow orders. My personal opinion is it is very likely Frontline did the same. Please don't make the mistake of hiring this company to insure anything you value. And they also hike their rates until you either can't afford them or they just drop you when convenient. read more

After storm damage to my roof, I filed a claim and was denied. They sent out an inspector who didn't inspect the entire roof or attic and to make matters worse, the representative I spoke with--Donna--was incredibly rude and dismissive. She spoke over me, acted like I was inconveniencing her, and offered zero empathy or solutions. For a company that's supposed to "protect" its customers, they've shown nothing but disrespect and avoidance-I am a 25 year customer of Frontline! Save yourself the frustration. What a miserable and unethical company. We had a leak in our home and did EVERYTHING we needed to to stop the leak, shut the water, call the plumber immediately, and contact insurance. They sent out multiple adjusters over WEEKS only to conclude that the damage must have been going on for longer than we claimed. Everything was denied. I am writing this review as a warning to anyone even considering Frontline: DON'T. I have never had such a horrid, unprofessional, and scammy experience with a company. I have filed now TWO department of insurance complaints against them. We filed two claims with them over the four years we had them: one for our roof/master bath, and one for a pipe bursting. When we filed the claim for the roof/master bathroom, I could never get ahold of my adjuster. I called never to receive a response and emailed to nothing. I received letters and things like a sworn proof of loss that needed to be completed by a certain date, but I had questions on how to fill it out. Radio silence until I had to just guess and mail it. Secondly, they sent someone to my house and I was told that they were a structural engineer coming to see how to repair my home. The man shows up 45 minutes early while I'm in the shower, rushes my husband, and then basically tells us this damage is not my insurances problem (without further explanation). I got him to slow down for a second and ask him how we fix it since I was told he was an engineer, and he says, "no I'm an investigator trying to make sure you're not committing fraud." So I was straight up lied to. They denied my claim and never sent me a formal denial letter which is REQUIRED. This year, a pipe bursts in my first floor ceiling dumping water all over and under my floors and destroys my half bath. I call it in, following every procedure to a T. They assign me the same useless adjuster and I call and specifically request to PLEASE have someone who will actually do their job. I get a new one and she is nice enough. They send out a field adjuster who is rude to me from the minute I open the door. I try to ask him questions because I knew for a fact that my flooring was discontinued and it was continuous throughout my 1st floor. He tells me they need a piece of the flooring to do an ITEL report to confirm the flooring is discontinued. I don't have one yet because ServPro had not done demo. I called him two days later to say I had the board for him. He says he won't be back in town for a week, and says I should bring the board to him - about 1h 30m round trip for me. I do because I want the claim moving quickly. Drive it all the way out there expecting that he will file the ITEL ASAP. We the get a check in the mail (completely unexplained) from frontline for $1,500. Because the adjuster never filed an ITEL report, they made the report as if I could patch the floors. I have to dig and sent probably 25 emails back and forth with my adjuster trying to figure out why that number is so low. I find out a month after driving that board out that they never filed an ITEL report. Finally they send me his estimate and it is riddle with errors - like wrong types of measurements, spelling errors, and he only included bathroom measurements. I demand they file the ITEL and FINALLY they do. I get an updated estimate with the floors which is still extremely low and riddled with the same errors I pointed out. They are saying I can do all this for around 12K. I've been getting quotes and there isn't a single one below 15k. I keep telling my adjuster that because I'm not allowed to start work until we come to an agreed amount with frontline. Finally my adjuster does her job and calls ServPro to figure out why their estimate (around $14,500) is so different than theirs, when they USE THE SAME SOFTWARE. They speak to ServPro, come to an agreement, and settle on the same number somehow, so they send me a check for around $9,435 which is subtracting my deductible but includes recoverable depreciation before I even did the work? I have finally completely the work in my house (8/18) when the claim was filed (5/17). I did almost all the work myself in an attempt to be able to afford to repair my house. Materials alone was over $6,300 and I paid $2,500 for flooring install. They are required to pay for my time which based on their estimate is more than $2,500 which is left. Purchased coverage from Frontline in November 2023, set an inspection date for insurer to inspect our home. They gave me an arrival window of between 1-3pm and arrived at 3:45pm. I had left at that point and couldn't let them in for the inspection. I attempted to reschedule, they said they'd call me back. They didn't and cancelled my insurance policy. Without telling me. Almost 4 months post hurricane Ian, we are on our 6th Frontline representative. We received an initial claim payment that completely overlooked items that were made known to the original adjustor. We have followed all of their directions to upload or email invoices, photos, estimates, and additional documents to obtain final payment and literally the only contact we've had are calls (usually on Saturday or Sunday afternoons) to inform us we have a new representative, along with a request for OUR patience while the new representative familiarizes themselves with our claim. To M&L: I'm with Frontline. I have been fighting for hail damage claim since August 2023. Finally after adjuster verified damage, roofers verified damage, Frontline sends out an engineer, on their payroll, and today (12/19/23)we get a call denying our claim. Frontline tells us that it happened 4 years ago, which happened in our last year of coverage from Nationwide. Meanwhile, the next house on each side of us have had their roofs replaced from hail damage this year. Obviously not by Frontline Insurance. Coincidental, I think not. And we are up for renewal next October. So now we have to try and get Nationwide to cover a claim that is 4 years old. Doubtful it will happen. Therefore no renewal next October, no insurance coverage unless we pay for a $25,000 roof. Wow. What a scam. Have to resort to attorney fees and delays I guess. And I'm disabled Social Security fixed income. Can you say second mortgage. Yeah that's fair. Or suicide, one day at a time. It'll workout. read more

Please read this review because I have learned all the scams of insurance due to this company and their employees. I am the wife to a deployed active Marine who has been gone pretty much since July 2020. We bought our dream home June 2019. We live in costal NC and this house has been through many rough storms and hurricanes. When we closed on our house Frontline requested us to send pictures of our home (and specified what they wanted to see) before they officially finalized the policy. I did exactly what they wanted. (They have never sent anyone out to inspect and I'm sure they don't for any property because then they will have to pay their clients damages). A very fast and hard storm rolled through on 5/7/21 smashing rain into my window causing water damage. FRONTLINES adjuster came out 4 days later (he was running days behind due to the abundance of homes damaged needed inspections). Mr frost arrived 5/11 (was supposed to be 5/12 but more rain was coming so he came a day early) he immediately said "yes this is 100% wind driven rain and is covered by your insurance. Have Servpro come out and remove your floors and kitchen so they can dry. I am a homeowner. I'm not in insurance. This legally is what's called "bad faith". I did as their representative said. I then wait over a week and hear nothing. I call and get the "yeah. You're not covered. There is no flashing". However there is flashing around my window but for some reason they don't see that. So I sent them pictures of the flashing which is properly installed and done only a few years ago... now it's "yeah there is some wear and tear". WHAT HOUSE 1. Does not have wear and tear and 2. What house does not have wear and tear after a massive storm rolls through? And I'm sorry but you guys insured my home without coming out. I sent what you guys requested and your company said I was all good. So at first it was "no flashing". Then I send pictures of flashing with everything else and it's "ooohhh yeah ok but see. There is a little wear and tear". What's the next excuse?? And BTW there is no wear and tear that would contribute to my entire kitchen and living room being torn up. If there was wear and tear there would be prior damage that would have been discovered once my house got ripped out however there was none. That's how wind driven rain works unfortunately. Even your adjuster agreed. They don't care about their clients. They don't care that while my husband is half way around the world serving in the USMC and his wife, daughter, and 5 dogs are home living in a hazardous situation telling his wife my bad. You're stuck with all of this. We aren't covering you, but don't forget your annual premium is almost due. Thanks for all of the thousands of dollars you have given us though. They know their adjuster said I was covered and they have admitted that. But they don't care. (I have all of the correspondence saved in emails) They now have several reasons since I keep disproving each one as to why they won't cover what they are supposed to. Maybe you should tell your customers how often your company wants the house inspected for any wear and tear so they are safely covered and don't have to fight for what they pay for. Maybe your company should come and inspect a property before writing insurance on it. Same as a life insurance policy. We are a military family. I run a non profit animal rescue. Our family lives to help others. And this is what we have received. My child has injured herself due to the home condition they have left us with. My dog is limping. They laugh. Our dream home has no been gutted and we live out of boxes. All of our heavy secured items are now standing left in the middle of our home and they laugh. Now we are meeting with lawyers this Thursday as well as media due to this gross negligence, bad faith, and roughly the 60-70,000 worth of damages (including a Servpro bill which I'm sure is well over 10,000). I haven't been able to work due to this. My daughter is having nightmares. And they don't care. read more

Had a severe storm in March of 2021. Sceens, trees blew over, roof damage, water stains on ceilings, etc. Had video on surveilence cameras. Frontline refused to cover damage. Had hire a lawyer. After a year later they finally settled after thier lawyer viewed the video and saw how violent the storm was. I had to use my Roth account to repair the house during that year. They raised my fee to $7500 a year. I dropped them for Citizens for $3300 a year. Stay away from Frontline. read more

I have written my review before while going thru horrible remediation. Finally we are cleared for mold Only took 4 times which is unreasonable. A check was just sent for renovations. I've had a mostly great experience with frontline. When I closed on my house they were in contact to set up the walk thru around my schedule and respected covid 19 pre cautions. She gave me a heads up on making sure my water heater was accessible but understood I had just moved in and wasn't a jerk about it. They lose a star because apparently my premium increased (just by a little in the grand scheme of things) after the first year and I wasn't notified until I got into a fight with my mortgage company about the escrow holdbacks. Would've been nice to get a heads up on that. As a mortgage broker I do get a lot of feedback from clients and overall my peeps are happy when they choose frontline. Insurance Agents I trust also say they are good about responding and taking care of claims. read more

Some of these reviews are completely bogus. I have been an Insurance Agent for over 20 years and have never had 1 Frontline client unhappy with their claim. Not one. I have had Fire, Hurricane, Wind, Water, Liability claims all made during my past 20 years. I also have my own home with Frontline Insurance for over 10 years. Maybe the problem with the claim is You, who didn't read the policy application when you signed and paid for it. Bad time to learn about what your policy covers is during a claim. If you don't have Personal property replacement cost included, you will have your personal property depreciated in a claim. Inspections are not illegal, every carrier will conduct an inspection, exterior or interior depending on the characteristics of the property. " Third degree felony" to conduct inspections, that review is laughable, Eyeroll. Several carriers went bust last few years that were completely "Financially stable"! We are stuck with limited options for home insurance thanks to past Governor Charlie Crist, who basically encouraged Nationwide, State Farm and the others to completely leave our State and just insure the rest of country without the risks of Florida. News Flash, Florida is a risk filled state, please do not make me list the risk. If you don't like the rates and carriers here...move to Montana, Tennessee, or North Dakota. Multiple water claims will get you dropped...that is with ANY CARRIER. Water is one of the most costly and frequent claim made. Replace the water connections to your toilet or washing machine and avoid coming home to a nightmare. Water heaters matter. Insurance isn't going to pay for you to fix a house that you do not keep up. There is no such thing as a 30 or 40 year shingle roof no matter what your roofer sold you. Circuit panels, there are several not accepted for what...FIRE hazards. When you sign the Application, read it!! I can only make people listen to me who want to listen to the facts. Just a tidbit , we live in Florida where we have limited carriers with more risk involved than any other State in the Country. For those of you that are unhappy with Frontline, jump into a Citizens policy if you qualify. Better yet, pay your house off and self insure. Lastly, Flood insurance is recommended. It can flood anywhere in our State at any given time. Give me 15 minutes and 15 inches of rain in a neighborhood that backs up to a brand new apartment complex and I will blow your mind. The worst insurance ever. They never complete your claims in a timely fashion. I had a wind-hail claim. Had a contractor come out to see my roof within 2 weeks of the damage who said there was obvious wind and hail damage. They sent an engineer a month later who said there was none, and the damage present was due to normal wear and tear over time. I just bought this house 1.5 years ago and they got a detailed inspection of my house and roof, which did not show any "normal wear and tear" damage present, After the first 6 months of my policy, my rate increased my $900, for now apparent reason. We heard that FrontLine insurance was the most customer friendly after hurricane Irma so we switched earlier this year and paid a slightly higher premium for our Naples villa. I just received notice that since I did not replace water heater and a valve with tool marks on it they will not renew my policy. No timeline was ever provided indicating my window of opportunity to replace a fully operational water heater or a valve that had a tool mark on it. Had their homeowners policy for one period and when it was time to renew I never received a billing and they cancelled me for nonpayment of premium. When I received the notice and called them to reinstate, they said it would not be reinstated. I said what about the 30-day grace period, THAT I WAS ONLY TEN DAYS INTO, specified by Florida Statute 627.453. They said it was their discretion as to give a 30 day grace period or not. FLORIDA STATUTE 627.453 SAYS: Grace period.--Every insurance contract shall provide that the insured is entitled to a grace period of not less than 30 days within which payment of any premium after the first may be made. Seems clear to me that Frontline needs to learn how to read the Florida Statutes that govern them read more

We have been with this company for 5 years. We recently had a random home inspection and everything came out fine, they only suggested we replace our water heater which we did. A few months later we had a pipe leak in our home and now we are being dropped! We have less than 30 days left on our policy and our claim is still open and not resolved which means we can not get a new policy!! This happened in May and we are still fighting! A (Fiend) worked as an adjuster for Frontline . She was former law enforcement. She told me that frontlines Request for live audio and video of policy holders dwelling inside and out was unlawful . A third degree felony in florida without proper process and permission obtained by homeowner in a correct and on tape manner which wasn't trained to staff. She said that they told her to to get video or have home owner sign a paper that say they refuse to give access to home which negates their policy even when the policy holders were willing to give access to damaged areas . Insurance companies already have to much power . But violating law without consciences is BOLD. Hope this helps some of you that didn't want your whole house interior videoed for public record . It is 4 months now since hurricane Sally and still claims have not been handled by Frontline. I am lucky they are not huge claims. Communication has been terrible. I was passed from on desk adjustor to another. When i first took out the policy they sent an inspector out. He said my roof looked good and then about 85 days later I got a notice i was being cancelled because of my roof. It was hurricane season and i only had a very short time to replace my roof.
