DO NOT TRUST THEM! To use the word bank to describe them would be an insult to a real bank. They are a joke and will not stand behind you when you have a dispute or honor their fiduciary responsibilites whatsoever. If they can get a bank charter my dog can. Use a real bank but stay away from this place. If you dont think a bank could really be this horrendous, scroll thru their reviews for a minute because theyre so bad they make BOA look good. read more

After going through the process for applying for a car loan, I am seriously considering pulling my money out and finding a new CU. Everyone says credit unions give the best auto loans. Not so. Despite advertising rates as low as 1.99%, and my credit score in the "great" range, they approved me for 10k lower than I applied for, and an APR of 10.99% for 60 months on a Toyota RAV4. No reasonable person would accept that. It would amount to $7+k interest over the life of the loan. I asked if it was a serious offer and my loan officer said the rate was nonnegotiable. I've had my money with PMCU/Frontwave for a decade, and this is just honestly disappointing. The Yucca Valley branch was always good, but I'm very disappointed and disillusioned with Frontwave and their customer service as a whole. read more

Frontwave Credit Union is the best. I really feel at home in the Yucca Valley branch and have referred a friend who opened accounts there and is pleased with them as well. Frontwave Credit Union in Yucca Valley is the best. We recently had two homes loans processed with nothing less than superior customer service. Virginia Gomez, branch manager is always helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable in her field. She gave us hands on service with our latest home loan. Jackie Moskal, Real Estate Operations Manager provided an expedited loan process that could not be beat. Her and her staff made it a pain free process. Superior job. The MOST RACIST CREDIT UNION I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. They ask all the customers of color anyone Non white or non white appearing for extra information, identification questions. Sometimes they double check their money. I have seen them several of times ask customers of color for more info and then a white man walks in they don ask them any of their supposedly standard questions. If the questions are so standard, why come every teller doesn't ask them? There's like one really nice white girl in there, pretty much it's all white and all white females. Not there's anything wrong with that but it is a problem when they discriminate against people of color. Some of the women are extra nice to the men but very brief with other attractive women. Just have to give a five star shout out to my bank and the great people that work there! Specifically this time Lee Lake, and Michelle. I'm not if sure it was Michelle here in our YV branch but either way both of these women saved my day last week big time. My husband and I were making a large important purchase for our business at the very end of the banking day and these two women went above and beyond, and made it happen. Even after they were closed. I LOVE this Credit Union! They are fast and efficient, help you with any questions or problems you have. They are open until 6pm, and 4pm on Saturday, they have a COINSTAR (Boom, right in your account), they have a new and improved mobile app, they give you a bank card same day, and they do not have service fees! Perfect for any account especially booster clubs or non for profits. They helped me open my mothers rep payee account after another bank forced us out for no reason. I have already been banking here for a few years with my kids savings and a checking account for me and the hubby. All of the girls are friendly and always smile. If you are sick of your bank you need to bank HERE! I do wish they had safe deposit boxes, but oh well. read more

I have been with this company for 8 years. When I opened my the women made a very rude comment about my source of income being social security. I called to complain about being discriminated against. No comment. I then applied for a credit card ( I have numerous cc and great credit) i asked them why I was denied and the man said "get your husband to get the card for you" so basically as a women i cant get my own credit card? The latest incident was a dispute. I filed a dispute because i tried to purchase something from e bay but it was a duplicate charge and I was having an incredibly hard time getting in touch with e bay. I called the dispute center and they started to continually LIE TO me. They never contacted me to tell me they denied my dispute. They never gave me a chance to tell my story. I called and told them why did they close my dispute? The women told me i should have called. They then sent me the papers to tell my story they have me 4 days during the holiday season. I faxed them the chat with ebay saying they would return the items ( one was a duplicate item the other broken) i received another letter denying my claim. I called the dispute and spoke with a supervisor who said she never got the fax and to send it again. I then called Frontwave to speak with Claudia and told her that it was wrong what they were doing. From what she said, seems like she knew the information I had sent in the fax. They were LYING to me about not receiving the fax. This is a terrible credit union. They are no better than a for profit bank!! If your cheated with you debit card, you are on your own. I lost 400.00 because of this. Wish I had known earlier. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Protection Bureau and anyone else I can. The BBB gives them. 1 star by the way. But I dont thenk they care. They can act really nice but when ot matters..they will not help you it takes forever to get customer service. I was on the phone for hours. Customers need to be aware the companies are full stop cheating people now. We need consumer protections!! read more

Banks to me are now dead..... fed up with government bailouts and the word "no" I ushered my funds to PMCU........ Every day we as a society muddle through life hoping we're doing it correctly. It's easy for us to judge businessmen and women that are at our beck and call, wanting our business, eager to please one time or give us a introductory rate. Cold truth is we don't know everything and we want our family and long time neighbors to help us with what's unfamiliar to us. It's a rare in this day and age when I'm truly impressed, and to say that would be an understatement in this occasion. The name may have changed but, the quality people they remain. I have never had service at ANY financial institution like I have at PMCU. They are so nice there that I actually DON'T MIND having to put the bank on my errands list. That may not seem like the highest praise in the land, but, for me, it is. I hate bank stuff normally. I don't know how they do it but there is almost never a lineup. It really seems to me that every person there is super efficient, friendly and extraordinarily good at what they do. It's like going to the X-Men house and everyone there has a banking super power ; ) My dad used this credit union for about 6 or 7 years before he passed away- ever since he moved to the high desert. I was a little skeptical at first because their online platform was missing some sort of report mechanism the tax guy said he needed...I think. It was a few years ago...and, in any case, The issue I had got fixed or implemented within a month of my asking about it. I don't think it got done due to my complaint though ; ) heheheh That WOULD be superhero level banking. I certainly DO remember very clearly how kind they always were to my dad - always joking with him and making the trip fun for him. I also remember exactly how amazing they were with me when my dad passed away. They walked me through all the things (I had only had experience with Canadian banks) and I appreciate it very much. Even to this day they are helping me. Dealing with my dad's mortgage company has been frustrating to say the least. My blood pressure would have done me in by now if it weren't for PMCU having my back. read more

Krislyn (my favorite teller) is always upbeat and great at hold a conversation. She always makes sure my needs are met with a smile on her face and that makes me smile. While they are polite, this credit union lags behinds others. I see no reason to use this establishment over any standard bank. When opening two new accounts, we needed documents notarized. They only notarize their own forms, even if you are a member. Instead of telling you up front what information will be required for certain services, they waste your time by requesting them when you are there. A simple handout listing what is needed for what services would go a long way. read more

The crew at the Yucca Valley branch of Pacific Marine credit union are very efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and as helpful as an institution could ever hope to be. I have noticed that they give each and every guest as much time as needed to accurately complete every transaction, with the help of the employees at the new accounts area and even the branch Manager when needed... to see to it that the guests waiting in line are not standing there in line forever. I have been a member of this branch for years and can honestly say I have never been disappointed in the manner I'm treated. And never seen anything different from what I have described above. Signed up for an account and explained to the teller that no mail was to be sent to my house. Two months later the person who I was trying to prevent from seeing my information presented me the statements from the last two months from Pacific. Thanks you jerks for respecting my request for privacy and security. I called and was told that someone didn't put my request through for no mail for a couple months. Unacceptable. Recently applied to refinance my auto loan with them. All seemed good, good rates ADVERTISED, great incentives.....got the approval same day. When the loan rep called me to provide me with my approval, they offered me a 12% rate! Sorry to say but I simply laughed....That was ridiculous. Other, bigger and better credit unions gave me a 4% or so....I was hoping that since this CU is fairly new to San Diego they would be interested in my business. Apparently they price the loans and assigned rates based on Debt To Income ratios (which is not an industry standard) versus FICO, loan term and year of vehicle, like other financial companies. No wonder they are small and loosing business by the minute.....They first try to get in the door with the great incentives, but they jack up the rate based factors that other CU don't look at.....For the rate they gave me I rather stay with Mission Fed or Navy Fed CU. Better, bigger and cheaper....Don't let the incentives fool ya! Who ever is in charge of their loan pricing definitely not looking at competitors....If they give you a loan, you most likely can get a better deal somewhere else. read more

Always used credit unions. Moved to Yucca Valley and opened multiple accounts (checking, savings, equity, and car). This credit union will nickle-and-dime you just like a big bank. I'm so disappointed with their fees. The staff is nice but it's about the money, guys. Will probably move our funds to Bank of America. read more

Poor customer service at this branch because they treat you like a criminal as soon as you drive in the parking lot and park your car. They put your personal information at risk by making you recite your address, and the last four of your social security number when there is no privacy and other customers can hear. Most of the tellers I've encountered in the branch have bad attitudes, as if I have inconvenienced their day by visiting the branch to complete a financial transaction. read more

They have been doing some online maintenance for 3 DAYS now!! I cannot access my account or transfer funds, I called to ask about my balance and customer service said they couldn't help me because of the update they are doing 3 DAYS of not being able to transfer money, I went to get milk for my child my card got declined because I need to transfer funds for safety reasons we only keep a small balance in our checkings, and now my daughters birthdays tomorrow I cant buy groceries or a cake for her THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NOT CONSIDERING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO ENSURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN WE'RE TAKING OUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. The ladies in here are awesome. Every single one of them, I've never so much as had one little problem here at this branch. They seem to work together very well and most of them are very knowledgeable and if they don't know they're not afraid to ask.
