This BBVA branch is probably the best branch I have ever gone to. I live in Corona, CA and drive to this one just to have the same customer service levels that they provide. The branch manager Andrew is definitely an awesome asset to their team. He understands clients needs and knows the best ways to tackle them efficiently. Its awesome because he is available to answer questions when necessary and makes amazing recommendations when it comes to banking products. During the transaction, the teller, Danielle, asked my mother whether she was "legal," referring to whether she was a legal alien. I find this question deeply inappropriate and concerning. My mother was there to conduct a legitimate banking transaction involving her own money. If there were specific identification or banking requirements that needed to be verified, those requirements should have been explained professionally and respectfully...........not by questioning someone about whether they are "legal." In 2026, when people are already living with so much uncertainty and anxiety, customers should be able to walk into their bank and feel safe, respected, and treated with dignity. A customer's appearance, accent, background, or perceived immigration status should not determine how they are treated. There is a huge difference between verifying someone's identity for a financial transaction--which is completely understandable--and making a personal and potentially discriminatory comment about whether someone is "legal." I sincerely hope Chase addresses this situation and provides better training to ensure that customers are treated professionally and respectfully. My mother should never have left a bank feeling questioned or uncomfortable simply for trying to access her own money. Chase, this is not the level of customer service your customers deserve. My experience with Cal Coast Credit Union has been nothing short of exhausting, frustrating, and disappointing -- especially when it comes to how they've handled a serious case of fraud on my account. Back in early June, a scammer linked their own PayPal and Cash App accounts to my Cal Coast account and stole money without my full understanding or permission. I filed a fraud dispute immediately -- but instead of helping me, Cal Coast denied the dispute, saying I "authorized" the charges just because a code was involved. And it was "directly from the phone"That's not how fraud works first off ok cal coast. What's worse is they admitted it was fraud, but said they don't owe me anything because it would be "their loss." Since when is that an excuse to leave your customer with stolen money, a damaged credit score, and no support? They told me to go chase down the companies myself, contacting PayPal and Cash App -- even though I don't even use those services and never had an account with the scammer's name on it. I was forced to do all the legwork alone, while Cal Coast refused to escalate, investigate properly, or even communicate clearly. They made me wait weeks only to be told "we can't help." Now, because of those fraud charges, my credit score dropped over 60 points, and Cal Coast still refuses to put the charges on hold or work with me to afford the balance. They've left me with debt I didn't create, no accountability, and no protection -- despite the fact that this situation clearly falls under Regulation E, which they are supposed to follow as a financial institution. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and action is shocking. I'm a young adult trying to build credit and stay afloat, and this bank has done nothing but hurt me. I've now had to start contacting legal aid and consumer protection agencies just to try and clean up the damage they allowed to happen -- and they still act like it's not their problem. Avoid this credit union at all costs. If you ever have to deal with fraud, don't expect Cal Coast to protect you. They will leave you hanging, ignore consumer rights, and then push all responsibility onto you. Absolutely disgraceful.
