It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! Demographics in these workshops tend to be mostly senior women, but of course they are open to everybody who wants to exploit their creative self at any age. The clinical class, also advertised as 4 nights/week for lots of hands on experience, ended up being 3 nights for 1.5-2 hours each. In addition, the class ended a week early even though the class had little time for students to get comfortable with injections and venipuncture. The externship program lacks school support from staff. There is no guarantee of placement, often a long delay between graduation and the externship, and when the career & externship advisor is asked a direct question about anything, her only reply is "to consult the website." The new principal was once quoted as saying "you get what you pay for" when questioned about the shortened hands-on class time. It doesn't seem the staff at EAS is truly interested in helping students achieve a better education and career.
