We spotted this place when we started the day and was looking forward to trying them out at the end of the day. When we arrived there were a number cars lined up at the drive through but figured it would moved quickly since making a sno-cone isn't rocket science, well unfortunately the line moved at a snail's pace even though a few cars in front of us decided to leave before reaching the window to order. We decided to wait it out and finally after about 20 minutes it was our turn - I changed my mind no less than a half dozen times but settling on two flavors once the large sliding window slid open. The young lady was friendly and after greeting us took our order and money then disappeared momentarily but soon reappear with our two large cups of refreshing deliciousness. One black cherry and grape the other tiger's blood and grape - the ice was shaved smooth and drenched in the flavored syrups, there's a small parking area across from the exit so we pulled in and got down to business. This was the perfect treat to cool down on this hot and humid day in Florida and definitely worth the wait. There are endless combinations of flavors and although $6 for a large seemed a little steep for a cup of flavored ice it seemed like a real bargain today and I can't wait to return...

The aftermath, were teeth that felt like I have been eating candy by the handful. I love the color of the restaurant and the location was in a perfect spot but the execution was lacking. One of the coolest things about The Shack is that they make fresh frozen custard throughout the day and feature a different daily flavor, which creates a bit of a cult following. We noticed people coming in specifically for that day's specialty, and after trying it ourselves, we completely understand why. I ordered the Salty Shack made with a chocolate custard base, and it was incredible. If you've never had frozen custard, think of it as richer, creamier, and smoother than soft-serve. They blend everything together so every bite is packed with flavor, and the texture is unbelievably velvety. One tip: order the mini! The portions are much bigger than they look, and because the custard is so rich and decadent, the mini was the perfect size for everyone in our family. This quickly became one of our favorite stops on the island. Between the rotating daily flavors, endless customization options, and unbelievably creamy frozen custard, it's easy to see why so many people return again and again. They asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. It didn't take long before my dogs' treats were ready. I let them eat the little treat off the top of their sno-cone along with the whipped topping and then took them home to eat the rest. They loved them! Staff working was friendly and nice!
