I rolled in at 8:58pm on a Friday... just squeaking in before closing with three sugar-obsessed 11-year-old boys in tow. Naturally, it took them forever to study the menu. One wanted peanut butter dip, but they were out, so he settled for his "usual," vanilla soft serve with a cherry dip. Another insisted on the biggest ice cream they offered (because apparently that's a personality trait at 11). He ended up with a banana split in the boat size. Their friend wanted the largest cone on the menu. I ordered him a medium twist instead, and he could barely finish it. As for me, I was deep in decision fatigue. Then I spotted the woman ahead of me with a sundae that let you pick three different flavors. Perfect. The universe had made the decision for me. I went with peanut butter cup sundae with Playdough (bright yellow vanilla ice cream loaded with colorful sugar cookie chunks), vanilla peanut butter twist, and classic cookie dough. The bottom was hiding a bunch of crushed Reese's cups, and of course the sundae was topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Somehow I forgot to take a picture of my treat. Is this a gourmet, artisanal ice cream destination? Nope. Is it exactly what you want when you're on a trip, it's late, everyone needs a sugar fix? Absolutely. It hit the spot! read more

We live in Carthage, but passed this place a bunch of times one week and decided to stop in and try it. Not a whole lot to say about the place itself, just a standard ice cream stand with all the staples. Service and price were fine. The only thing out of the ordinary is the soft serve itself. It's gotta be the airiest, most fluffy soft serve I've ever had. It feels like you're eating cool whip. No regrets ordering it, in fact we went back another time when we were in the area. But in general, our allegiance falls on the other end of the soft serve spectrum, so we never made a point to come back. read more

Frosty's is amazing. Excellent soft serve ice cream! I usually get the soft serve but the hard ice cream is fine too. They often have long lines in the evenings but they move at a good speed. Right now, due to covid-19, they have 6 foot markers taped to the ground. The sundaes are awesome too. Prices might seem a bit high for Watertown but compared to other places, this is an absolute deal. I highly recommend stopping here, especially on a nice summer day! read more

I have tried a ton of milkshakes from many different places, and this place is so good! The price is very cheap too!! A baby cone is $2 and it is the size of a regular cone you buy from the grocery stores. But milkshakes are the bomb! read more

In my several visits to Frostys, I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to order unlike Sonic where the wait is 15+ minutes regardless of how many people are ahead of you. Frosty's is a Watertown landmark, but I will never go there again. The ice cream was great, but they don't charge the prices that are on their sign. My son got a large fountain drink, which is advertised as $1.75 on the sign outside, but the fella at the register charged him $2.00. When I brought it to his attention, he said, "I have to charge what it says in here" Sorry, but the advertised price is what should be charged. I will not be returning there ever. read more
