It's starting to warm up in NYC which means any semblance of a nice, cold drink sounds fantastic. Fruit vanity is attached to a bakery so it's easy to grab both. The boba shop side is tiny. There's 3 small tables with 2 chairs each. This is a cash preferred place as any debit or credit has a charge regardless of the amount you spend. But all toppings are free so there's that. They do have a wide variety of drinks. I got the mango passion fruit and my friend got a fruit tea. Both are more tart side despite both being at 100% sweetness (because some drinks can't be adjusted). I think if you're out of options or unwilling to go further, this might be a good choice. I love LOOOOOVE the taro boba with the creamy foam. Please please try it. It's amazing. The perfect amount of boba & liquid & ughhhh. I dream about it lol. No but seriously it's so good. They are not stingy with the boba. Also the toppings are free. It's really small but overall it doesn't matter really. They also have a cute bread store and it's really cheap & it's good. The service is really nice. I love!!! My favorite is tiger sugar in main. But if I had to choose & lives nearby I would choose the taro boba any day. read more

I've noticed that many bbt places in chinatown gear towards a sweeter taste, rather than valuing quality of tea, but Fruit Vanity differs. They've got a selection of various black and green teas, each packing a strong tea flavor. The teas can come with or without milk, and all toppings are included and unlimited. Their sugar levels seem to be less than your normal bbt spot, so 30% is actually 30% (which is a plus to me, but if you're used to sweeter bbt, you might want 75-100% :x) They also have a variety of mango (summer special is mango drinks 2 for $10!) and fruit drinks, and I've seen real fruits being used, so that's a huge plus.
