Tiny store near the oculus with an extensive menu of bubble tea, non dairy smoothies, dairy smoothies acai bowls and other drinks. Got the hawa smoothie and was very pleased by the fact that it didn't taste like blended sugar water. It wasn't too sweet and it was deliciously creamy. Friendly staff who worked quickly to make my drink. There's a very small area for two people to sit maybe, but great place for a quick pick me up if you're in the area. read more

Quick and delicious I got the almond butter açaí bowl and it was so good. It was topped with mango, banana, strawberry and granola. The bowl was so filling, I wasn't expecting it to be, but I'm not complaining. They also offer smoothies bubble teas. I wanted something healthy for lunch and just googled some places in the area and I'm so glad I found Hawa. Definitely give it a try they make healthy taste good. read more

Hawa makes delicious fruit smoothies!!!! I've tried their Pineapple Mango and Strawberry Mango smoothies and they are both incredible. The smoothies are made without dairy, which is good for me. I can't believe how creamy and tasty these smoothies are. I asked one of the men behind the counter what is in the smoothies because they taste too good to be true and he said just fruit and ice and my mind was blown. Love their Taro bubble tea with Lychee. The place looks old from the outside. The staff hardly speaks English. But I went for their bubble tea not for conversation so it's fine! I had a hard time asking for a specific decaffeinated tea though. They ended up giving my friend palpitations as they didnt take the order correctly for her tea. It's always better to have a staff that can understand English. read more

Terrible experience over a mishap on the yelp app. HAWA has two locations and their figurehead location appeared to be first kne to pop up on my phone. I placed an order thinking it's the one closest to me, unfortunately it wasn't. I called yelp aka Grubhub and HAWA church street and they were both unable to even refund me the money. Just took my money like "haha sucker, your fault!" No empathy whatsoever! They just make smoothies and nothing else. Where's kindness??? read more

Glad to have stumbled upon this Hawa after having been a regular at the one in the East Village years ago. The location has standing room only if you are planning to eat inside, with a few counters next to the windows. Not only do they serve beverages, they also offer açai bowls. I ordered the Almond Butter Açai Bowl for a late breakfast. The service was extremely efficient and I received my order within about three minutes or so. It also seemed like they ran out of the medium sized bowl, so they gave me a large bowl and filled it up (which I really appreciated since the whole thing kept me full until dinner time). The bowl was topped with fruits, including bananas, strawberries, mangos, and blueberries, granola, and chia seeds. Hoping to stop by one of their locations again in the near future! read more

If you want a healthy smoothie. This is NOT the place. I got their Passion Green Smoothie, and it was a pure disappointment. Passion fruit: I guarantee is a passion fruit concentrate juice that's heavily processed and heavy on sugar. It tasted very syrupy I literally had to throw mine away after few sips. What a waste of money... Service was very odd. I asked is it pure fruits and veggies? The worker replied, very awkwardly, very suspiciously, very... hmmm... came off like the person is trying to hide information? Kinda feeling. The worker replied, "uhhhhhh there's water and uhhhhh juice" Anyway, couldn't handle the slow reply, so I just ordered and BAM. Money wasted. So The Purple Mermaid Smoothie from Playa Bowls is a protein-packed, tropical superfood blended together. It has what they call Playa Pitaya or a dragon fruit base, bananas, pineapples, vanilla protein, blue spirulina, and coconut milk, with a swirl of coco whip. There is a large list of items to choose from so we will see how it goes. The hostess is neither friendly nor off putting. Its a get your items and leave kind of establishment...... so there you have it.

Last time I had a pitaya bowl and I added granola, chia seeds, bananas, raspberries and chocolate hazelnut butter. All the toppings were included! If I got any more they'd be extra but this amount was more than enough. The pitaya was refreshing and in creamy texture. Also very filling! The service is always good and quick. And the place is casual with enough seating if you want to eat there.

I've gone for basic every time because I personally like it by itself! The other day, I also tried the Coconut Chia Pudding. It was fresh and not too cold, which is exactly what I wanted. The coconut milk was delicious. I opted for blueberries and almonds as toppings but the pudding without any toppings is pretty good. I highly recommend trying the bites!

They provide a generous amount of boba which I definitely appreciate. However the boba itself was on the firmer side and not as enjoyable. The passionfruit juice was ok, but tasted more like syrup juice rather than fresh fruit. Store itself is very clean and spacious. With plenty of tables available if you choose to dine-in.

I was the only one in the store when I arrived, but I also arrived fairly early in the morning. The boba was fresh and squishy. The boba was really good not hard at all. The brown sugar milk tea was fresh. The taste was really good. I would come back here again if in the area. Prices seemed reasonable compared to shops in the area. Did not try the food so no opinion on that.
