Fish and Shrimp Plate with Cajun Fries and Honey Corn comes with a drink. Just over $10
    Brittanie H.

I came to this place with big expectations after finding it on Yelp. The weather was great and I was in the mood for a proper Sunday lunch before grocery shopping. It's about 11 minutes past the grocery store but the drive is always worth it for good food. I called ahead and asked if they took credit cards. She said, "yes" and I was on my way. I got here about 30 mins after they opened for the day and I was greeted by the cashier and perused the menu. After a few questions, I decided on the fish and shrimp plate. I opted for the trout for the fish, the corn and Cajun fries for my sides and the 1/2 JJ punch and 1/2 tea to drink. After about 7-10 minutes the food came out. It was a beautiful day, so I decided to grab a picnic table and have it there. The fish, shrimp and fries were flavorful and well-seasoned. The portion was generous and more that enough for one person and perfect for two people to split. The JJ punch and tea mix was a tad on the sweet side but refreshing nonetheless. Where they they fell short for me was the temperature and texture of the food. While the flavor was good, it all tasted like it had been precooked and kept warm rather than cooked fresh which is a fried food violation for me. The fish and fries were soggy or hard, the corn was just warm and the hush puppies were slightly warm, rubbery and lacked flavor. The best thing on the plate were the shrimp which were also not hot but retained their quality a bit better. I'm giving them 3-stars because I think this place has great potential. The concept, prices and seasoning are solid. If they made the food to order it would be good to go. Being that it's a bit far away from me, I probably won't give them another shot any time soon but would if I were in the area. I'll be rooting for them in the meantime...

This my first time going here and I LOVED IT!!!!!! The french fries were perfect, the best ever. They didn't have too much grease or oil and they weren't soggy at all. The hush puppies were awesome as well. The tilapia was really great as well. I ended up getting the two tilapias and a side of coleslaw and french fries. I will totally come back.

We ordered several different appetizers starting with a 30 count of steamed peel and shrimp seasoned with Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp were sweet and succulent. I could've aten the entire bowl by myself. We also had sweet and spicy jumbo shrimp which was an explosion of flavors in our mouths. And two orders of calamari and hush puppy's along with crab cakes. All the appetizers were delicious. I had seared blackened sea scallops with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. We also ordered The Boat which was an assortment of fried seafood. The portions were quite large. My mom enjoyed key lime pie for dessert. Our waitress Keegan was awesome and her customer service skills were excellent. The drinks were flowing from the bar. The mixologist Isaiah prepared an assortment of sangarias, house margaritas and strawberry margaritas. They have a nice wine selection and many cocktails to chose from. The ambiance is very nice and all the staff were very friendly. When your in Rocky Mount, NC please stop by Cape Fear Seafood Company and enjoy good food and drinks. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life.

Our server Jordan was attentive and flexible as well as friendly, but not overbearing. Our entrées were all absolutely spectacular, particularly the mushroom risotto with the grilled mahi, the peel and eat shrimp, and the crabcakes. We all noted and commented on how perfectly cooked every item was. One teeny concern was the long wait to pay our checks. My party was quite ready to go after a long day at graduation but waited quite a while, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening. One extra nice touch was the little table lamp, which cast a perfect bright light over the table surface, but a very pleasant indirect light everywhere else.

Zeke was the ambassador in charge of making sure we had a great experience. Well done Zeke Maria graced us with congratulations and more. We will frequent more often . The oyster's on half shell were amazing and the steak was delicious. Kudos to the chef. You need to go! You won't regret it
