I needed to order a cake for a company event and decided to order it from this location instead of the one near my house. I walked up to the bakery counter where there were about 5 employees that I can see working in the back. One lady was directly in front of me putting pastries into packages. I was standing there for about 5 minutes before I asked the lady if there was anyone that can help me. She then called another younger lady to help me. She asked how she can help me and I told her I needed to place an order. She then told me that they were not taking any orders without any explanation. She told me that I would have to go to another location or come back in a few days. I asked her what was going on and she told me that they didn't have a baker. I can understand not having a baker and being shortstaffed, but the fact that I had to wait there being ignored by a few people that saw me and I had to ask for help just to be told that they cannot help me without any explanation is completely unprofessional. I will not be returning to this Fry's since it seems their employees don't really care about customer service. read more

What a horrible way to run a business. There were 0 checkers. I was told I had to scan my ow groceries. Look- I'm not lazy but if I HAVE to do your job and don't have a choice, you should pay me! What really bothered me was the way the 20 something year old told me I had to scan my own groceries because there were no checkers. Hey there store general manager- you need to have a better staff and plan than this because I don't like to be told in a shitty tone that I have to scan my own groceries. I have never had worse customer service at a Fry's. My online order was completely wrong. (I was recovering from surgery & needed to order to my home.) When I brought all my items back they were completely rude. They said "well, you need to understand that it's hard for us to find things in the freezer". Or "it was a really hard day for us. Nobody's order was right today." Are you kidding? Don't offer online orders if you can't make it happen. I spent hours trying to fix this mess. Customer support online wasn't any better. This is a nice Fry's. I've shopped at this location since moving to the area. However, given the excellent prices at WinCo, I only shop the weekly specials. The pharmacy is slow and not competitive on some drugs. I got tired of asking for a price match from Walmart. The best deal is when they have a 30% off wine sale. Love the Kroger Brand cold slaw. This store has been going downhill for months now, they need to update everything in the store, myself and my Daughter came here today, there were no carts by the first entrance, no baskets at either entrance, there were a few carts left at the second entrance and many carts backed up in the cart drop off areas. I gotta say I don't like all frys stores. Some on the west end of Chandler I find to have old produce. I like quality meat and quality produce and these guys are consistent. I also really like the fact that this particular store always has great customer service with all their staff, even through the holidays when they're slammed. And they always have humans checking you out available. I hate bagging my groceries and I'd rather go somewhere that has people doing it for me. This location not only had the best flow from one section to the next, but also had the BEST SUSHI! Yes, sushi - and it's freshly made everyday. The gentleman who works the sushi stand is hands down the kindest man and always offers to make whatever you please. Then the pharmacist told me they did not have enough of my medicine and I could come back to get the remaining of the quantity prescribed to me. Check your credit card statements carefully if you order your groceries online through their clicklist. They overcharge you and then when you call and speak with someone about it they continuously hang up on you. Incompetent employees who can't even look up your order because they don't know the difference between an order number and your phone number. Also check the receipt to make sure they actually packed everything you payed for. read more

I've been on the phone waiting for someone to help me for about 8 minutes before anyone acknowledged my existence with a hasty "Berightwithyoukay?" without eye contact or an opportunity to even reply. Guy who eventually came was helpful and very apologetic. It's not his fault they're understaffed. But a sign I dictating whether or not they are going back and forth between those inside and outside or if everyone outside is in line behind everyone inside (which it seemed like) would be nice. In lieu of that, a genuine 20 second, "I'm helping someone in here, but you are next in line. It might another 10 minutes. Would you like to stay or come back later?" allows me to actually make an informed decision. Bottom line, they need to be staffed with more than 2 chickens with their heads cut off frantically helping two people while irking over a dozen customers waiting (some giving up). (I count "staffed" by number of people who show up to work, not number scheduled.) read more

Who would have thought that I could get decent sushi at my local grocery store? The fish is consistently fresh and delicious. The calamari salad is also delicious. Usually once a weekend, I am sitting in the comfort of my own home, drinking a Coke Zero, and stuffing myself with sushi. I usually get 8 nigiri (1/2 salmon, 1/2 tuna), a rainbow roll, and a calamari salad (no lettuce, just sweet, delicious calamari). They sell groceries, too. Good selection and prices. This is the closest Fry's to my house. It is clean and well-maintained. The parking lot is a little bit tight and sometimes crazy, but I try to go in off hours. They have a Desert Schools Federal Credit Union there which is nice since that's my bank. I like that Fry's sends us coupons based on what we've purchased. read more

Fry's Pharmacy has terrible customer service. Told multiple times that my prescription would be ready in "30 minutes." They told me this for TWO DAYS and we went to the pharmacy 4 times!! Finally they said the prescription was on the "wrong paper" and I had to get new ones from my doctor - which we did (Dr's office is 30 minutes from my home), only to be told it was still not the right "paper" and that I NEEDED to call my doctor to fix. I had surgery and needed the meds immediately. We picked up the prescriptions written on the "wrong paper" and took them down the street to Walgreen's who had them ready in 20 minutes. Not the first time I've been faced with total inefficiency and unprofessional treatment at this Fry's Pharmacy. Not using them again. read more

This is a normal Fry's Marketplace that is currently undergoing a remodel. Spacious aisles and friendly workers - many times I've been asked how I was doing or if I needed any assistance. Generally good prices permitting that you have a Fry's card - and with that said you can use your phone number that is one file if you don't want to carry the card around (I'm somewhat of a minimalist). read more

How impressed can one be with a grocery store? I guess I'll say that there are some good things about this particular store, including the home items and kids toys section. The store is generally stocked and well maintained in terms of cleanliness and orderliness. I find the team in the meat section to be extremely friendly and helpful should you need them. The Deli team, however...that's a different story. They try to be helpful but there are a couple of folks there that need some help/training. I've had a couple of comical (in a very sad way) experiences with the deli team at this store. One young man had no idea how much 3/4 lb was and on a separate occasion another young man couldn't figure out how to make the slice thicker. Why would anyone shop at this location? (Riggs & McQueen) Almost every cart in the parking lot every time I arrive. Yes I talked to the store manager about this 2 or 3 times. Twice now there has been police called to this location because of shootings in the parking lot. So why shop here? Today I ordered ClickList at 1pm, they said it would be ready between 5-6pm. I hate going to this Fry's but it is the closest to my house. The wait time at the deli meat counter is atrocious. It doesn't matter if there is one person or a huge line, there only ever seems to be one person actually working at a time. If no one is around, you will wait even longer because they are not paying attention to the counter. I quit going for a while during reconstruction but went today since it is all done. I was brand new and was fired within a month because I accidentally sprayed water on a customer. It's not like I truly meant to get him we I was literally working in the Deli cleaning the counters. It was closing time and he leaned over to where I was cleaning and said are you still opened. I said no but we will be tomorrow morning I am sorry for the inconvenience. It is 9pm on a school night I was just trying to get home and finish my homework. But this guy continued to stand there till my manager came up and served him. Purchased a cake for my 2 year olds birthday. Was suppose to be a picture of buzz and woody on the front. Instead I got a blank picture of space and a woody and buzz figure ( which I was charged an additional 4 dollars for). I would not use them again and if your thinking about it your better off buying a cake at Costco and putting the two figures on it yourself. This is probably more on InstCart than Fry's except we made our order on Fry's web Page so we hold them responsible for their bad choice of partners. We ordered about $50 worth of food on Fry's web page. Unfortunately, since we were planning to be home, we selected 'Leave it at the door'. Next we get a call from whomever was shopping for us that much of the food was not available, so we reduced the list by a lot. We received a price detail for the original order, but never received any notification of what the final bill was once it was whittled down. The worse part is, the delivery person left at the wrong house. We called Fry's after it was about an hour late to inquire where our food was and Fry's passed the buck and said we should call InstaCart. We did that and was told we would be on hold for over an hour. We hung up and I started a neighborhood search for the food. I found it about a block away sitting in a neighbor's doorway. The salad and veggies were limp. Fortunately the meat that we had included in the original order was not included because the shopper assigned to us wanted to pick alternatives for us and we chose not to do that. I still don't know what the final bill was and we tossed out a lot of spoiled foo since we were unable to contact InstaCart and Fry's Customer 'Service' said we had to go through InstaCart for service on this order. We've been Fry's customers for years but now I think we'll head to Safeway, which is actually even closer to our home. That was my first and last on-line delivery shopping experience with Fry's. I will also never make another order of anything from anyone if InstaCart is their choice of service provider. So much for social distancing and being safe by ordering food. A wise man once defined stupidity as 'doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results'. We are not stupid. read more
