Costco is okay, but there are some things they really need to figure out--especially when it comes to the gas station. The car line for gas regularly spills out onto the main road, causing traffic backups that could easily be avoided. They should direct gas traffic through the back side of the lot where there's way more space and open parking. Instead, people block the main entrance trying to get in, which just creates a mess. Inside, it's the usual Costco chaos. The aisles feel more packed than ever, like they're trying to fit as much product as possible into every inch of space. Combine that with the fact that a lot of people seem to have zero spatial awareness, and it makes just walking through the store feel like a full-contact sport. The amount of sales reps is also getting out of hand. Every aisle endcap seems to have someone trying to sell you something--cell service, water purification, shower remodels, countertops, you name it. I'm genuinely surprised there's not someone waiting by the car display out front trying to sell you a minivan on your way out. The one solid improvement is that they finally added wired scanners to the self-checkout. You don't have to unload your cart onto the scale anymore just to scan everything, then load it all back in. That was a smart move and the one thing that keeps me from giving this location a lower rating. read more

Parking lot needs WORK especially the entrance off country club. I left a suggestion in the box last year about how it's impossible to make a left turn in there, going south on country club, because of the CONGESTION from the gas pumps. They put up cones and tape a couple months later which definitely diffused the horde of cars waiting to left turn, but took it down just as abruptly as they put it up. FIX THIS PLEASE. Either fix the parking lot or fix the light. Food court is good. Food fresh and made immediately, the workers are very quick helping you. You also don't need to scan a membership card to order at the food court which is nice, but they only accept debit/electronic payment. They have a huge section of flowers and you can get 2 dozen roses for $20!!! read more

Le Réveillon: In French culture, Le Réveillon refers to a large, festive meal on Christmas Eve (Réveillon de Noël) or New Year's Eve (Réveillon de la Saint-Sylvestre) that extends into the early morning, celebrating the "awakening" for the new day. Why am I mentioning this? Because for Réveillon de la Saint-Sylvestre, I decided to pop in for some champagne and caviar. Yes, at Costco. Some Veuve Cliquot, a Tsar Nicoulai Baerii Caviar set, and a bag of Ruffles were purchased and I was on my merry way. Happy New Year, indeed! This Costco, like all Costcos, is hectic. While not as busy as their Tempe and Chandler location, they still get their fair share of business. They get busy on weekends and holidays and it's just usually better if you can pop in on a weekday. Now move out of my way. I'm at that stage in life where their Puma socks and two-pack leggings seems like a great deal and a welcomed addition to my wardrobe. read more

Costco isn't a store, it's a religious experience. You go in for toilet paper and leave with enough snacks for a small village and a receipt that rivals CVS. The aisles are wide, the samples are dangerous, and the prices make you feel better even when you've spent way more than planned. The rotisserie chicken is always a good call, the food court hot dog is undefeated, and checkout moves fast, especially now with the self-checkout option. It's chaotic and absolutely worth the membership fee. read more

I was there about 930am checking out at supposed self serve, a lady with a hand scanner was checking out a man, the check out stand had no hand scanner so I waited the asked the lady for assistance and was told your on the wrong side of the Yellow line!!! And she then turned her back on me and began helping another customer who approached her!! BTW the basket with my refrigerated items is sitting there now. Love that this store has everything bulk and deals, and the food court is amazing. Greeter at the door and greeted at the exit. Spacious clean shopping experience. I love how this company really cares for its employees too! So reviewing the pizza, called in the day before, for 5 pizzas, cheese and pepperoni options. Get there pizza ready simple pick up . Pizzas come extra large I had 30 guest, 16 being kids, had a whole pizza and a half left so needless to say we had plenty love me some left overs haha.. and they're only 10$ e, great deal. read more

$1.50 hotdog and soda... COUNT ME IN!! The moment you walk into Costco you'll be greeted by staff, so be sure to have your membership ready to scan. I enjoy perusing up and down all the aisles to see what new things they have in stock. It's like a treasure hunt every time I'm there. And it's always a good day when you can snag a few free samples to hold you over until you make it to the food court. Before coming to Costco, be sure to check your pantry and fridge to make sure you actually have space for all the bulk items you're about to bring home. And I don't know about you, but I can't go to Costco without making a stop at the food court. Whether it's for a hotdog, slice of pizza or the double chunk chocolate cookie, I always leave with something. The only issue I have with Costco is the long lines. Long lines at check out. Long lines at the food court. Long lines to get gas. I don't have an issue waiting in line but it could be more organized. read more

Shopping was great than we hit the food court and there was no room to sit barely any room to breath on my own and hear my own thought,and the lady who got my order didn't even know how to make the sundaes and messed them up my chicken bake was so burnt and tasted so bad,my pizza was basically a oil filled plate so I recommend finding food elsewhere.There was also no silverware for anything and no stares and barley bay lids making a bigger mess form people spilling drinks trying to make everything work. read more

Lines are always so long here. The gas station is especially crowded. I like the Chandler location where the parking lot is separated and less crowded with the separation in front of the store. Costco is just a popular store due to their bulk prices. Their food court is interesting with the hot dogs and chicken bakes. The chicken bakes are like chicken pot pie or more so a folded over chicken sandwich. A chicken turnover? Like one of those pizza sandwiches but with a Caesar sauce no marinara. Always seems crowded and hectic. The lines are so long. Wish it could be less crowded. read more

I'm a huge fan of Costco. Their customer service is always is stellar, they're always so friendly. The finds and staples we get here can't be beat on a quality and cost standpoint. We don't do all our shopping here, but do get many of our basics such as toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, dog food and certain bulk food items. Then of course find our fair share of new finds, rotating items and what not. We even get our car batteries, tires and utilized their vacation options last year! Also, great plant selection when in season, honestly I can find anything here! They stand by their products and the membership is very affordable and well worth the value to shop here, not to mention access to their gas. I've been a Costco girlie for a long time, and definitely will continue to be! read more

We really like this Costco as it is the closest to us and we are already familiar with parking. Avoid entering through Country Club/Arizona Ave if possible. The traffic is crazy just trying to turn left into the parking lot. Best way to get in is through Fiest Boulevard and enter through the back lot. Customer Service has always been friendly for us at the registers. They have a good assortment of items here. Holiday is in full swing here and it was fun seeing all the goods! Costco does some things well and some things needs to be improved! Today, it's the Gilbert optical, why does Costco make it so difficult to return prescription glasses. Why does Costco ask sooooo many questions after questions after questions why I want to return the glasses???? When you cite the Costco mission statement guarantee customer satisfaction, the employee becomes defensive and two other optical gang employees come to the servicing employees aid. Why does Costco have optical gangs that inject themselves into an escalated conversation and escalate to another height!!! Costco needs to revaluate there Gilbert optical staffing. I would rate the three confrontational employees a 1 and direct them to be employees at a fast food restaurant. read more

For $70.59 a year, you get access to a wholesale store full of cheap items and monthly discounts. The best part about all of this is their generous return policy. I bought an item that was on sale only to realize that it wasn't on sale when I bought it. I immediately went to return it but the nice worker had one of his colleagues check the physical price and explained to me that my item was no longer on sale but it looks like the workers forgot to change the sign. Instead, they ended up letting me keep the item with a discount which was super great. Also, the Costco food courts have great quality food at great prices along with great gas prices too. You combine this with the Costco credit card and the $70.59 a year more than pays for itself. read more

I used to love going to Costco and would look forward to my monthly visits to stock up on stuff. We have always been "executive members" and always spend a ton of money when we visit. This has been our go to location for years and it seems that now the treatment we get every visit gets worse... Instead of feeling welcomed at this location, our presence feels unwanted. Employees are not friendly and they just walk past you like your invisible. The greeters / door enforcers are always unfriendly and look at you like hawks. The aisles are always crammed with people & carts and at times the store is very chaotic. Especially the check out lines. Self checkout lines were installed but for what? The employees are still there all up in your business and will not leave you alone until they have checked your dumb card. Actually, it seems like they don't even want you to scan your own items. They will stand there and hover over you while you scan. They even count the stuff out loud for you so that you are aware they they know how many items you have in your cart... There is no other interaction prior to that. Not a "hello" nothing. Just a rude "let me see your card," before you can even grab the scanner. There's been times that I'm not even heading to the self checkout lines yet and they are already rudely approaching me asking me for the card. Stupid. Costco has gotten dumb with all these new rules. My mom / sister should be allowed to use my card if they need to, we live in the same household so why not. They act like they don't need us as customers to keep them in business. Got myself a SAMS CARD where I actually feel valued as a customer and where they do not give a F who is purchasing. I am definitely not renewing this lame ol' costco card. Bye Felicia. read more

We found almost all ( a couple items were not available ) with friendly employee help looking for said items . Bought 3 large bags of ice , less than 2$ each ! Surprisingly the checkout was fast ! I went today to join this location. I was given 2 options by customer service, a membership with and without a credit card. I chose without and was charged $140. I asked why so much? I was told it comes with 2% cash back to use on next years membership. Confused I proceeded. It wasn't until I researched later I could have joined the $65 membership. The 2% cashback wouldn't benefit me because I don't spend much. I think its bad customer service to upsell new customers without explaining all membership tiers. I now have to try to change to the more cost-effective option and get reimbursed for the difference in membership costs. read more

I never wanted to become a Costco member but ended up needing to since they wouldn't let me shop on behalf of my legally blind and disabled mother. Now, I paid far too much to be able to shop for her (and now myself I guess), and Costco's practices are still leaving me with a large feeling of disgust and dread. In my opinion, Customers are treated as untrustworthy criminals from the moment the membership is checked at the door. That's checkpoint number one to verify you're able to be shopping there. Issue number 2, they check again at self check out and the new signs are old fashioned, disheartening and leave a sour taste. Basically this new nationwide policy is to make sure you show your photo of your card to someone at the checkout, but wait, you need to show the first Costco gatekeeper at ehe self checkout and then show the next Costco gatekeeper who then manually scans all of your items themselves (what the heck is the point of self checkout if you can't avoid the workers?), oh and then counts the items and tells you how many before they trust you enough to pay for the items while leaving you feel like a criminal. Couple this with the fact many common forms of payment aren't taken by Costco. Finally, you're not free. You wait in a horribly long line and then show 1 or 2 more Costco gatekeepers your receipt and you're lucky if they don't scrutinize your receipt of 6 items and set you free from the Costco imprisonment feeling, oh sorry, I meant shopping experience. I understand trying to prevent shrink, I do. But this is excessive and unethical in my opinion. It makes me not want to go to Costco at all even though there are a few items I like. The shopping experience is always crowded inside and outside, and their or interior "feel" is very archaic and outdated. I will always prefer the competitor because of their business practices and guess what, they don't care who is using the card, they removed the photos from the membership experience, why? Because I'm sure they don't care who is shelling our hard earned money for their products, they're still getting the $. On top of that, I've always felt relaxed, valued, treated like family vs a criminal, and the food is better. The interior is also updated and modern and welcoming. Wednesday June 26 the gas attendant couldn't care less if anyone could be left stranded with no gas. I'm a member here. I drove there only to find out I lost my wallet. I could still pay using Apple Pay. Frantically I made my way to the attendant if he could help me out since my priority is to find my wallet but I have no gas. Wouldn't budge a bit to help someone from being stranded. Where's the decency in people anymore. Nothing but protocols from these big companies and yet they can't help someone in need. Staff members talking to each other while ignoring customers all over the place.4 in the Optical Department, 2 talking and blocking the end of an aisle in frozen food, 2 more talking and blocking in the toy aisle, 3 in the snack aisles, and 2 more in the pharmacy/hygiene area. Watched one elderly man be ignored by the optical staff for at least 10 minutes- their conversation was more important. What happened to management???? read more

Normally, I enjoy Costco. I understand the need to verify memberships... my issue is with the selective practice of checking. All or not at all... Why was I loudly told to turn my card over to show my photo while a man twice my size blocked my access to a kiosk while the 4 people in front of me at self check out were not? I was confused. Ultimately, it felt like the self check out police didn't believe someone like me could have an executive membership. When I called to voice my concerns to the store leadership, I was told they check everyone's, despite me literally witnessing the opposite. Literally. The store manager was gaslighting me about what I had experienced. Nobody else had been barked at to flip their card over & I watched 2 of the 4 only flash the front of their cards before they were allowed to use self checkout. Cinnamon at the desk (I believe was her name sorry if i butchered it!) was extremely helping in answering all my questions and made me feel comfortable while i was in. She broke down all my options and eventually got me a membership best for me! 10/10 experience as someone who works in the service industry to be greeted by such a kinda soul. Unacceptable Service and Negligence at Costco Tire Center I am writing to express my frustration and deep concern regarding my recent experience at the Costco Tire Center at the Gilbert location. As a brand new customer, I had scheduled a basic tire rotation for 5:30 PM on 08/23/2024, but what should have been a simple task turned into an ordeal of delays, incompetence, and negligence. I arrived early at 5:00 PM, only to witness several visibly upset customers complaining about long waits. I thought I might be the exception since I had an appointment, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I checked back at 6:30 PM, only to be told that my car hadn't even been pulled in yet--an hour after my scheduled appointment. Despite this, I remained patient and continued to wait and walked around the Costco store. Finally, at 7:30 PM--TWO hours later for a basic tire rotation--I received a call that my car was ready. However, when I went to retrieve my vehicle, I discovered a lug nut lying on the ground. After inspecting my car, I realized that my wheel stud had been completely broken off inside the lug nut. When I asked the technician when they planned on notifying me about the damage, he responded dismissively, saying, "Oh, they should have told you, it's written in the final paperwork." I reviewed the paperwork myself and found ZERO mention of the broken stud. At this point, I asked to speak with a manager, only to be told by the technician that he was the manager and that Costco would not cover the damage they caused. When I asked for the paperwork documenting the broken wheel stud, I was stonewalled and given no resolution. I then escalated the issue to the general manager of the Costco location, who promised me that the actual manager of the tire center would contact me. It has now been TWO WEEKS since that conversation (it's now 09/05/2024), and I've heard absolutely nothing. This level of negligence, lack of communication, and refusal to take responsibility for damage caused to a customer's vehicle is absolutely unacceptable. A two-hour delay for a tire rotation is bad enough, but breaking my car's wheel stud and failing to notify me of the damage--followed by ignoring me for two weeks--is downright disgraceful. I expect Costco to address this situation immediately. I demand that this issue be resolved promptly and that the damage caused to my vehicle is repaired at no cost to me. Today I had a really bad experience with Costco for the first time. I brought my friend over so she can see if she likes Costco. I'm an executive member and I showed her around. She barely got anything and I used my membership for it. Less than $70 amount. She was Denied since she doesn't have membership so I decided to pay for it instead. I showed Costco around to her since I'm a member and she can use my at the mean time before she signs up. Not a big deal. But they made a BIG FUSS about it. TWO MEN, the cashier and the one scanning.....making a big fuss over something so small. You just lost a potential Costco member who wants to look around (my friend). She was treated horribly not a nice greeting. They were very loud when they said it too that other people and customers heard it. Also, the guy was SUPER rude. He asked if we wanted a box and I said sure and he just THREW IT OUT IN MY CART....did not even bother to arrange or something. Just threw it in my cart empty on top of my food and stuff. Like I don't expect you to do it by why offer a box then just threw it out like that in my cart? Who are you? What a disgraceful and disrespectful human being. I understand you're just doing your job but just WOW. So rude!! Worst Costco I've ever been to! I will NEVER come back here again. Man I've never had a less than stellar experience at a Costco until today. The three stars are for great amount of options to purchase including snacks and other supplies I was looking for and parking/layout was easy to maneuver. Service however was total crap. Our cashier was so rude and short with us. Then at the food station the person handing out our pizzas stacked everything on top of each other causing the cheese to adhere to the plates. When we asked for new slices the person helping practically slammed them on the counter and said do whatever you want with the others. Ummm ok. Don't think I'd visit this location again besides for maybe gas as the lines looked much shorter than our local Costco. read more

I especially like coming to Costco during the holidays because they have all the wonderful variety of nuts available in the front section next to the cash registers. I love Costco, but this is a big shout out to the lady that works in the optometry counter with the blond hair named Kim! My mom came here to pick up her prescription. She didn't know to fill out her claim, so I told her to bring her forms, and we would ask the employees there. The employee that worked the counter went above & beyond, and helped my elderly mom to make sure everything was filled out correctly. Great customer service! read more

So I order a washer/dryer. NOTE: Samsung 24" electric w/d. - the stacking kit is required not optional. You can purchase or order the required stacking kit, $40 on Amazon. It looks as if you can order with w/d, but it does not order the part. So the delivery was made, the guys were very nice, but need the stacking kit to complete the installation. I call Costco, spoke to Carlie, who was also very nice - Thank you Carlie. Part was not available because if the w/d is out of stock you cannot open the page to order.
