Jim has years of experience and has the ability to be consultant for you throughout the decision making process. I purchased a brand new home that did not have any window treatments provided by the builder. Jim arrived, measured and surveyed all of the windows, then gave me several recommendations. Jim has a full suite of options including traditional blinds (of all types), window shades (of all types and colors), styles (top down/bottom up, motorized, etc). Jim quoted very reasonable prices that were highly competitive. I ultimately made the choice to do white top down/bottom up shades in nearly every window of the house. Jim even made recommendations on which windows the shades wouldn't be necessary for. He could have easily tried to upsell, but he is honest and very realistic for his customers. Jim's prices were so reasonable that I was even able to do about half of my shades in a motorized format. They are battery powered shades with only one battery in each (which is rechargeable) and only needs to be charged once or twice a year. Additionally, they all sync to an app an also to wireless remote controls. Jim ordered them and it only took a few weeks for them to arrive. Finally, Jim came out and perfectly installed all of them. He walked me through how to use them and how to set-up the motorized shades. They are now on timers and go up, down, and to partially open settings at different times throughout the day. It is really a great set-up and Jim did a fantastic job. There was even one shade that wasn't opening/closing smoothly after install, which Jim re-ordered at no cost. He made another trip back out to install the re-ordered shade and fix it once it arrived. Jim truly does a fantastic job and goes above & beyond.

When we came in, there were two other couples Gaylene was assisting. We patiently waited and looked around as she provided attentive customer service to the other two couples. As one couple was looking through one of the product booklets, Gaylene offered to take down their measurements so she may email them quotes. She finished assisting both couples and was able to begin assisting us. We began asking our questions and letting her know that we'd be interested in looking at motorized Hunger Doulas shades for our bathroom and motorized drapes for our bedroom's ceiling to floor windows. She cut me off and right away told my husband and I that we don't want to do motorized drapes because they are way too expensive. We were quite taken back by her quick-to-judge response, but politely let her know that we are aware of the steep prices for motorized drapes and are still interested in purchasing them for our home. She continued to tell us that it's simply too pricey for us and proceeded to show us automatic blinds and shade booklets for our bathroom. My husband and I looked at each other in shock that she would automatically assume that we didn't have the means to purchase the product we're asking about. In an attempt to not waste our time visiting the store, we looked through the booklets she provided for our bathroom shades and let her know that we'd like to get a quote. We attempted to give her our measurements, but she just gave us her card and said to just email her the information and she'd be in touch. We were confused as to why we didn't receive the same customer service she had given the other two couples that were in the store previously. It was pretty clear to us that Gaylene was judging us as a young couple who couldn't possibly be serious about purchasing these products, so we left the store disappointed in her inappropriate customer service. We ended up giving our business to Smart PNW, and couldn't be more happy about that decision as James & Jill provided us with the complete opposite experience we received from Gaylene at Window Wares.

She put together multiple quotes because we were not sure what we wanted (or how much of it the builder would cover), and we were able to get exactly what we were comfortable paying for and the fabric choices were great! We went with roman shades and the person who came out to measure and install was excellent. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and easy to work with! Our new shades look great and block the light very well! Also, they arrived VERY quickly and were able to come install right after arrival! (Ordered Sept 11th, installed Sept 24th) The only downside we experienced was we were not able to find a solar shade similar to one we previously saw (where it blocks the sun but does not provide a ton of privacy), and ended up going with another company for those (Lowe's- they were cheaper for the GIANT windows we have). We were stubborn once we knew what we wanted, otherwise I am sure this company would have done an excellent job on those as well! As far as prices go, this company was middle of the road but provided the service expected for the price. Cheapest being blinds.com or Lowe's (but there is much more churn with scheduling and long lead times, however you can get deals for holidays and such), and on the high end you'd find things like the Shade Store or other boutique-y places. Overall, this company was so easy to work with and quick, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone needing window coverings!

We took one of our broken blinds to another shop to be fixed eventhough we had to pay, and they couldn't because they needed a part from Norman and were not able to contact them either. My last intent was with Window Select, I contacted Joni Greenbaum, explained to hear our situation and she was king and helpfull. We were referred to this company by our builder, and it was the best place we could've used. We previously used a budget blinds company in the area on our business' windows and those were okay but the Hunter Douglas blinds we got with this company have been top notch. The price here was the best we found for top-down/bottom-up blinds with the enclosed string, and we also had some rooms with the blackout style blinds because I work nightshift... They have all been great... But the real difference for us has been in the fact that the customer service over the years when the kids' broke a tab or string on the blinds has been amazing, and the response to get the blinds fixed and returned to us has been really fast. The other stuff they do includes blinds, hard flooring and drapes. In fact they seem to have everything that can compete with the "big" home decor stores. They are wonderful to work with. They do not have that impersonal or unknowledgeable feel I got from other stores. The prices and products are very competitive. Sandy's primarily carries Stainmaster and Anso Nylon carpets as of 2010. The carpet install guys Sandy's contracts with also do a great job -- and, unlike others, the cost of installation is part of the carpet purchase price and was cheaper than the big box stores.
