The contrast in professionalism, knowledge level and communication was striking between Anchor Blinds and the two prior companies. I love my new black out HoneyComb shades--made by Hunter Douglass and come with a seven year warranty. Should I have a problem, they will be serviced locally thru Anchor Blinds-- which is comforting. It is simply impossible to get a response from this business no matter how you try to reach out. While we had a few different quotes from other businesses we could have gone with, following Daniel's in-person visit we figured we'd give Seattle Custom Blinds. Big. Mistake. From then on things quickly went downhill. It took several months before our simple project was finally completed and nearly 100 emails until I finally had my blinds installed. And that's not to mention the several incorrectly placed orders that continuously delayed things. We gave them as much slack as humanly possible the entire time but they took advantage of that and every day that went by it seemed like they were actively trying to find new ways to waste my time. When it was all said and done, I ended up being the one having to install the smart integration myself since Seattle Custom Blinds apparently couldn't quite figure out how to order the necessary parts (I had paid for) from whoever their supplier was. Mind you... them offering that as part of the package was one of the reasons why I chose to give them the business. It has been a few months since we FINALLY got our blinds installed but I'm leaving this review now because the remote that came with them broke and I wanted to grab a new one so I have been trying to get in touch with them and what do you know? Zero response! Our blinds had a lot of minor issues following the installation and I honestly didn't even bother trying to get a response from Daniel since I am convinced they will never respond to former customer emails after our experience with them. Seriously... there are many other blind installers in our area. Most are very professional. The majority will carry the exact same product or better. They will likely not mess up your order 100 times for no apparent reason. And I guarantee they will all be more responsive and easy to work with. So do yourself a favor and go with any other option out there.

Ultimately cost over $3000 for 2 mid-size bedroom windows, but the color really doesn't work with my just-painted walls. I am considering re-painting the room to match my overpriced shades. In addition, one of the valances doesn't match the rest of the window coverings because it was sewn with fabric inside out. They have sent replacements 3 times. Every time the fabric was inside out again. After the last time, I tried three times to contact my "case manager" to discuss options. She would only communicate by email, and then only to tell me what they would do, not to solicit any input from me on what would actually resolve my dissatisfaction. They have now decided to replace ALL the shades in the room, which seems incredibly wasteful. They are NOT willing to change the color of the shades, to actually make this worthwhile for me. So, I have taken out my sewing kit and spent an hour ripping the problem valance apart and putting it back together with the fabric facing the right way. There's some glue on the outside of the shade, it doesn't look perfect, but I'm done. Not 3 days - it has been almost 4 months and I'm not at all happy with the result. Stay away!

The quote was right on what I wanted to spend, and he adjusted it for us a couple times after my husband and I discussed it more. We had them install eight standard honeycomb shades, one motorized shade for a very high window, and one exterior shade on the second floor. We've been extremely happy with the shades, and wish we'd replaced our ancient blinds sooner. We went with the double honeycomb style, and the difference in temperature is noticeable. We booked the install within a week or two of their estimate, which seemed reasonable to me. A tie-down broke for the exterior shade broke during installation, and rather than waiting for a spare to get shipped, they found one in their storage and came back to fix it. Throughout the process, both Jason and Eric were responsive to questions -- friendly and helpful. When I accidentally wrote a check from the wrong bank account, they were totally understanding even though it was 100% on me. I had a question a couple months after install, which they answered promptly. I would definitely use their services again.

However Aysel not just accepted that project, but came up with innovate solutions and showed great customer empathy while understanding our personalized needs of the project. I interacted with many companies before awarding the project and Aysel was class apart in her professionalism and creativity. Her contractor (Serhat) was also extremely professional, skillful and courteous and it was a great experience working with both of them. Aysel sourced the parts from Europe. In one of the parts, there were some mechanical issues, and Aysel promptly offered full refund. Overall, I am highly impressed with Aysel's customer service, professionalism and creativity and definitely recommend her to others for projects related to home improvements.
