It is simply impossible to get a response from this business no matter how you try to reach out. While we had a few different quotes from other businesses we could have gone with, following Daniel's in-person visit we figured we'd give Seattle Custom Blinds. Big. Mistake. From then on things quickly went downhill. It took several months before our simple project was finally completed and nearly 100 emails until I finally had my blinds installed. And that's not to mention the several incorrectly placed orders that continuously delayed things. We gave them as much slack as humanly possible the entire time but they took advantage of that and every day that went by it seemed like they were actively trying to find new ways to waste my time. When it was all said and done, I ended up being the one having to install the smart integration myself since Seattle Custom Blinds apparently couldn't quite figure out how to order the necessary parts (I had paid for) from whoever their supplier was. Mind you... them offering that as part of the package was one of the reasons why I chose to give them the business. It has been a few months since we FINALLY got our blinds installed but I'm leaving this review now because the remote that came with them broke and I wanted to grab a new one so I have been trying to get in touch with them and what do you know? Zero response! Our blinds had a lot of minor issues following the installation and I honestly didn't even bother trying to get a response from Daniel since I am convinced they will never respond to former customer emails after our experience with them. Seriously... there are many other blind installers in our area. Most are very professional. The majority will carry the exact same product or better. They will likely not mess up your order 100 times for no apparent reason. And I guarantee they will all be more responsive and easy to work with. We contacted three contractors with top-notch track records.  The first two sent out sales reps, but when Rain City's owner, José Olivarez and project manager, Monce Marquez came out personally and patiently answered all our questions, we decided to go with them.  And boy, are we glad we did! Monce was a wonderful project manager, good at explaining the whats, whys and whens of the work to be done, and always attentive and responsive to our needs. But the best thing she did was to assign Joel and his crew to us.  The good things we have to say about Joel and his crew could fill an encyclopedia: Not only did they competently and efficiently attend to every detail of the installation, but also, Joel always considered our preferences whenever decisions, large or small, had to be made. In nasty weather, Joel took special care to ensure that everything stayed dry. At the end of every day, the crew's clean-up made sure there was nothing left to trip over. In eight miserable Seattle weather working days Joel and his crew cheerfully completed their task. Then came Armando and his crew, who painted, trimmed, and provided all the finishing touches to complete the transformation of our shop-worn looking house into a dazzling, brand-new home . When preparing to purchase black out shades for the main bedroom, I had in-home consultations with three local companies. Anchor Blinds was the third consultation I received. The contrast in professionalism, knowledge level and communication was striking between Anchor Blinds and the two prior companies. I love my new black out HoneyComb shades--made by Hunter Douglass and come with a seven year warranty. Should I have a problem, they will be serviced locally thru Anchor Blinds-- which is comforting. Eventually turned into "after we've moved out," so we started looking for bids to get the ceiling put in with drywall. Cesar came out within a day or two on a Friday, looked at the ceiling, literally counted how many drywall sheets he would need and gave me an estimate that was a really great deal. He told me that he could start Monday. I was ecstatic that he'd be doing the work so quickly. I spent the weekend replacing the lighting, since it was the last time I'd have access to it, and when Cesar and his team member showed up, I had wanted to take out an awkward closet and open up the room more. They both ended up helping me remove the closet, which increases the scope of the project by a little. Cesar ended up drywalling the sides of the closets that were left, and did an amazing job on the ceiling. He also told me if I noticed anything (like the screw holes sinking after the mud dries), he will come back anytime and fix it for me. I HIGHLY recommend him!

And they were perfect: communication, expertise, caring for the house and keeping it clean and tidy. We were anxious as the installation day approached because we are living in the house with a 5-month-old puppy. We worried about the noise, the dirt and dust, and having unknown people working on every side and floor of the house. None of those worries were necessary: all four of the team were polite, mostly surprisingly quiet, fast, thorough, and great at what they do. Of course, we loved the cleanup and removal at the end. We recommend them 110%.

Cherry Creek incorrectly derived measurements for 2 of the windows from our building plans. Cherry Creek chose to take no responsibility for their mistake and I was forced to purchase 2 new windows so I could complete my project. The Marvin windows they sold me are bleeding a beige seal where the black window pane finishes on the glass. Yes, they use a beige seal against a black pane. The bleeding looks horrible. Both Cherry Creek and Marvin do not consider this bleeding to be a defect. They told me it is my responsibility to address this issue. Again, I do not recommend either Cherry Creek or Marvin windows.
