I really wanted to love our visit to Fuchsia Spa at La Encantada. I actually attended their Yelp Elite grand opening event back in 2019 and remember thinking the spa had so much potential. Unfortunately, our most recent mother-daughter facial day missed the mark in several ways. We each booked a facial with a wellness add-on. I chose red light therapy and my mom chose the leg compression therapy. For the red light therapy, no one removed my makeup, or even asked if I needed to remove it, which immediately felt strange. There was also zero explanation about the treatment itself: no mention of wavelengths, benefits, or why this type of light is used. My mom had a similar experience with her leg compression add-on. The staff repeatedly asked her, "Are you feeling better?" as if she had come in feeling unwell, which made the whole interaction awkward rather than relaxing. Even small moments felt off. In the lounge, we were offered something to drink and asked for tea. The staff handed us cups without saying what kind it was. Not a huge deal, but details like that matter in a spa environment. The one bright spot of the visit was the facial itself. Once I was finally in the hands of my esthetician, I felt taken care of. My Signature Facelift facial ($168) was relaxing, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. My mom, however, said her esthetician kept trying to sell her every product that was used on her, which took away from the experience and made it hard for her to unwind. Overall, the facial services seem strong, but the wellness add-ons and overall hospitality felt unpolished and inconsistent. The location is very convenient. I signed up for their new guest deal. I requested a facial and signed up online. I completed all forms before arriving to my appointment. The front desk folks were friendly but not the most helpful. I was supposed to receive a free wellness add on but of the available add ons only 2 were available. Traci was the one who did my facial. She was fantastic. After the facial she recommended different products. I was never provided the free wellness add on. No biggie as the ones I wanted were not available. The front desk folks who checked me out seemed a bit confused about that and couldn't figure out how to add a tip to my card. They just seemed untrained or overwhelmed. I am so glad I came across this facility. Every member of the staff goes out of their way to ensure you're not only well taken care of through the services they provide, but that you're genuinely cared for as a person. Love the location and atmosphere. BUT the service is spotty. Some very good estheticians but the massage therapists come and go. They can't seem to keep the good ones and the last massage I had was poor. The therapist spent more time with her hands OFF my body than on. Like the spa setup, I was disappointed when the staff gave me a used blanket during my LED treatment. Most places change their bedding; I guess this place doesn't. That's a red flag for me. My esthetician was nice, but I didn't expect just to have products applied, one on top of the other, to my face without any actual treatment. I expected more than just moisturizing my face during this visit. They don't offer nail services anymore, FYI. This place is not for me. read more

Beware of booking on line. I booked a 10 AM facia on line....at 915 AM I received a call to cancel. I was on my way as I olive 45 minutes away and was told to arrive 15 minutes early. They don't explain well the payment system. I signed up for one month and no one told me it is being rebilled. Once I found out, I couldn't cancel at the desk. They had to send me an email but they didn't say I need to cancel 30 days in advance, which is when I was asking them to cancel. By the time I got to my email to fill out their paperwork for cancellation, it was less than 30 days. Now they want to rebill me!!!! Horrible system. They offer relaxing spa and then they cheat and frustrate you. I will never go back again. What an unpleasant experience! My advice is to watch out or go someplace else. Let me just say that I've been a loyal customer ever since this spa has opened going on about three years now. It all started with a Yelp elite event from the previous owner Suzanne I felt welcomed and like a part of the family.... well it has drastically deteriorated, after not once, not twice, but four times my massage has either been canceled or rescheduled. I've tried to work with management numerous times on figuring out why they are having such issues with staffing, but realized it wasn't my issue to solve and that after telling them how bad the massages I received from Darla and Elaine are and not to rebook me with those two!! more and more massage therapists have left the Fuchsia family, which only makes me a little bit more sad each time I started to rebook with them as I had thought I was treated as a loyal customer. Sunday May 7, My boyfriend and I had a couples massage booked as he is also a member, but received a phone call at 9 AM this morning stating that one of the massage therapist called out so we could no longer have our massage together. Mind you we had booked a massage at least multiple weeks ago and Fuchsia does a good job of notifying you to remind you of your appointment not once but multiple times via email, text and phone call. I spoke with Ivana this morning and asked it when they could rebook us. It would've been weeks if not months before we could find a good time and date with our busy schedules and she said she would call me back as my boyfriend likes Molly and needed a weekend. So we opted to go to another business who was able to get us in the next Sunday. Ivana had the owner call me named Jason I believe which I had previously thought it was Kimberly, but he called and spoke with my boyfriend and his excuse for not having a massage therapist was the state wasn't handing out licenses!?!? Not only is this not a way to handle business. There was no trying to win us back as loyal customers, so we have decided to cancel our membership with the Fuchsia family. This time I drive half an hour and sit in the calming room for 10 minutes then told my manicurist can't make it, thru only offer for my time use of the sauna!!! My first time at the spa! I'm impressed and I would definitely go back. From the time I arrived to the time I left I felt so comfortable and welcome. Suzanne, the owner was available and knowledgeable letting us know about the services we were going to receive. Her staff was available and very friendly. I got a facial service from Anne, her hands were so soft! This wasn't a full service because of the nature of the event but was introductory and featured exfoliating lip scrub and plumping (which I clearly don't need) but tried anyway. I wouldn't do it again, just because the spice was intense but my lips are really soft now so that was nice. Anne also massaged my hands and placed them in plastic bags and then a warm mit. Mischa was great, asked me if I wanted upper or lower body, I opted for lower body because I wear heels to work and he really worked my calves and massaged my feet. He also used the cupping method which I would also not do again because it just felt like someone was continuously pinching me but overall GREAT experience. He also gave me a few stretches to try to relieve tension in those areas as a parting gift or words of wisdom. I made an appointment for a deep tissue massage and a facial (they were having a special) the day of fuchsia called and said the facial person called in sick..no compensation offered even though if I cancelled same day I would be charged. The massage was awesome. The second time I made an appointment I asked for the same girl same massage, no facial...this time when I arrived I was handed an iPad to fill out..I put the same things in the iPad as I stated in my phone call deep tissue this time they asked what music I wanted and of course if you are having a massage you want soothing spa music so I selected that. I was told after handing the iPad back that the masseuse reviews the information. Whelp...first it wasn't deep tissue, it was a Swedish no where near the pressure I need and the music was fast jazz piano music not even close to relaxing. When I called to share all of this when I returned home, not once was I offered anything which I should have this last time around. This place needs a manager full time to tighten the ship. I would avoid signing up for any membership that locks you in for any sort of time. They make the cancellation process quite complicated, especially if you have moved and expressed you don't feel as comfortable at other locations (as one should in their spa location). I'm disappointed in how long it's taken them to confirm my membership cancellation. I did not want to write this review, but I just want to warn people that it's not easy to cancel when you try to get a lower rate and you're almost guilted and the manager will express her disappointment in you for cancelling for a legitimate reason. It's worth being month to month or paying as you go so you don't have to deal with the hassle of cancelling and ensuring it's processed. It seems like once you express you want to leave, you aren't as valued as you once were before. I would 12/10 recommend Monique though! She's fabulous and really cares and hope she's able to open her own practice one day as she definitely has the skill set for it! This spa is fantastic! First, I did some paperwork and the front desk assistant offered me lemon water, m&ms, or jelly beans. It is beautifully decorated and an inviting space. After my paperwork, I was taken back to the relaxation room. Omg! It was amazing. I had a warm neck wrap on and I was offered cookies and hot tea. It has a gas fireplace with dragon glass along the wall and cushy chairs. It was toasty but not too warm. It was literally the perfect temperature. I had a lash lift and tint done with Ann. This was my first experience with a lash lift, and Ann was fantastic. She walked me through the whole process and explained what she was doing as we went along. I had a few moments where the tint dye stung, but she took care of me immediately to flush my eye out. This is all normal and very common, but she addressed the discomfort immediately. She's incredibly kind. She made sure the table was warm and toasty as a lash lift isn't a relaxing spa experience. It's not uncomfortable but it's super awkward and you have a super bright light in your face the whole time. I am very pleased with the service. Ann sent me home with spoolies tied up in a glove to comb my lashes out and after care instructions. My lashes look amazing! This place isn't much more than other salons and includes a tint! I personally won't get a tint again mainly because my lashes are very dark as my hair color is almost black naturally, so colors don't show up on me unless my hair is lightened. While this spa isn't cheap, you get what you pay for. It was more than just a service but a whole experience. I'll be back! read more

My first experience at Fuchsia was for a 50 minute massage and add-on Wellness "Sound Table". I was checked in at the front, and shown to a small waiting area, and offered water or tea. The waiting area is off of a narrow walkway, which is fairly high traffic, with guests being brought back to the treatment rooms. The room is painted black, and lit by an electric fireplace. For me, it did not feel like a relaxing pre-treatment. I was then taken to a large room with four massage tables, and asked to pick a meditation to listen to, and provided headphones. There was a folded blanket to use while having the 30 minute treatment. The tech stated that the table would vibrate in coordination with the meditation; however, it was mostly just a loud droning, with minimal to no vibration noted. The room has a large tinted window to the sidewalk, and the lighted chandelier was kept on, which made the room too light and not deeply relaxing. As well, the tech was coming in and out to check on another client, and the loud closing of the door was distracting. My massage started a bit late, and the tech took me to the room and immediately suggested an add-on of a scalp massage with aromatherapy, and gave me a plastic card which listed all the possible add-ons. I asked specifically about the amount of oil used in my hair, and how the aromatherapy worked, as I am used to massages that incorporated several deep inhalations of aromatherapy at the beginning and at the conclusion, and was told that its "minimal oil in your hair" and the aromatherapy is a "mix of peppermint, lavender, and others". So, I felt a little awkward and pressured at that moment, standing in the massage room with a therapist that I've never met, and I agreed to the scalp massage add-on. The massage room had beautiful lighting on the ceiling, which was nice to look at. It was clean and tidy. It was on the chilly side in the room, and I wished the table heated more. The massage was average, with some awkward moments of draping attempts, missed areas, and breaks in flow. Nothing therapeutic, mostly just a light relaxing Swedish type massage. The scalp massage was mostly a superficial rubbing of fingerpads over my hair. And the aromatherapy oil, placed along my temples and brows was so strong it immediately started burning my skin and the fumes were overwhelming. I know that essential oils are very potent, and only a few drops at most are meant to be put into a carrier oil if used topically. I literally felt as though they were being used full-strength on my skin, from the intensity of the burning and fumes. Super unpleasant. By the time I left, I had a full-on headache. The spa encourages guest to buy a "membership" for monthly services. I prefer to try out all of the services first to see if it will be a good fit. I will consider trying the spa next for a facial, as they use Eminence products, which are high-end, natural, and have good results. read more

Fuchsia Spa is so fabulous!!!!. Ever since COVID hit, my skin has been so horrible and nothing has seemed to help. But I had the most amazing facial with Mikaela and she seriously fixed my skin! She used this little laser that zaps away the bacteria on your skin and I swear it made such a difference!! I'm not one to ever buy the products after a facial but I had to scoop up every single thing that Mikaela used on me because I could not go back to how my skin used to be. My skin was seriously glowing after!! Two weeks later and my skin is still better than it's been in sooo long. The whole salon is super cute and they really go above and beyond to it a luxury day spa at an affordable price. I love how they offer you snacks and beverages! I wanted to treat my sister to some relaxation and a day worry free. Fuchsia was just the perfect place. I asked my niece for suggestions since I live in CA. Everyone said "Fuchsia"! It was easy to find and in a lovely shopping center. Fuchsia is beautifully appointed. All the ladies working there were so pleasant and obviously enjoying their jobs. We both had massages, facials, and pedicures. I can not say enough how well we were both taken are of. Marcie was my masseuse, I would highly recommend her. I got this gift certificate for $50 to this spa and when I finally made my appointment to go I was in shock, the website is very thorough and I appreciate them taking it seriously! I booked the seasonal manicure and it was the best thing I've done for myself. Beautiful space but a very discombobulated staff. I was thrilled they had a last minute pedicure appointment on a Sunday. Was told to arrive 15 minutes early which I found odd just for a pedicure, but ok. Again, the space is beautiful but this was one of the most expensive and yet still lackluster pedicures I have ever received. I wasn't offered - either by phone or at the spa - any options for my pedicure. No upgrade or enhancements. The leg massage was barely more than a application of lotion and I still have calluses that weren't paid attention to. About 45 minutes in, the manager came over to let my girl know her next client was here. She then rushed through and essentially slapped my nail polish on and only did one coat! She sprayed some quick dry on and off I went. Needless to say my pedicure lasted less than a day before showing wear. At check out, when I declined to book another appointment saying that I would call instead, the manager asked "but you'll come back right? You liked it right?" That was off putting! I told her that it wasn't great and addressed my concerns but she just said they had some mix ups that day and she was sorry for my experience. So no, I probably won't be back. read more

A gift card brought me into fuchsia spa- due to the pandemic and current state of things I had waited since October to finally get the courage to go into a spa and spoil myself in January. As the pandemic gets worse I'm finding self care to keep one grounded is so important. I also feel that now many businesses have put into place proper sanitation and safety measures whereas in the beginning many were lost on what to do. At Fuchsia they really meet the mark on safety and cleanliness. They require guests wear a mask in all treatment areas of course unless the service you are receiving requires mask removal- ie. Facials/Laser I enjoyed a one hour massage and one hour facial for the first time guest special of an amazing $125 that was gifted to me for my birthday. Upon arrival they greet you and very welcoming and friendly. I got a little lost since it was my first time going in. They helped me find my way and were very accommodating to me being maybe 5 mins late. Once they bring you in they offer you hot tea or fruit infused water. They have a "quiet room" where the lights are dimmed- chandelier, couch area and a comfy chair, a table with magazines and a beautiful and relaxing faux fireplace with the relaxing spa music going as well. They also let you graze on as many peanut m&ms as you can eat while you're there. Which is cool since you can literally be in there for hours! All of their tables are heated which feels so good! My appointment started at 1 pm and I didn't get out until about 5:30. Nicole gave me my massage which was very nice and relaxing- they ask you keep your mask on during the massage. As you move throughout treatment areas they give you a wrap, robe and slippers along with a basket to put your personal belongings that they move for you wherever you ho. You may remove your mask during a massage for a short portion of time when you are laying on your face in the rest if you'd like. Every staff member remains masked in the building and they ask that you do too. The spa is kept very clean and they are constantly sanitizing. Tracy gave me an amazing facial and scalp massage that literally almost put me to sleep- I HIGHLY recommend Tracy! After my massage I decided to just make a day of it- they quickly sent in someone from the front desk to go over options to add on a mani-pedi. Never did I feel pushed or pressured to purchase products or extras which was really nice. I opted for their seasonal pedicure that includes the usual spa pedi plus an awesome paraffin wax and a seasonal mocktail- cranberry. Which was very yummy! I got the pink mani and then upgraded to shellac. Dina is an absolute sweetheart. I enjoyed my spa day from start to finish and highly recommend them. They are always offering deals and savings to new and existing clients! They are fairly new (2 years)and a bit hidden but worth seeking out and pampering yourself. Especially during this pandemic when we have had to change our way of life. Relaxing and unwinding and just focusing on yourself is a reset we can all use. A group of four of us went in for a spa day at Fuchsia for my mother-in- laws birthday and we really enjoyed all three services each of us received and the whole spa in general. The spa itself is clean and well-decorated. The staff is so friendly and helpful as well. We were keeping the spa day a surprise for my mother-in-law and the staff was so accommodating to make it a success. I arrived over an hour before our scheduled appointments to set up a small table for treats and a small mimosa bar. They actually set up the table and even let me store everything in their fridge upon the groups arrival which was great. Although we all weren't able to have our services done together, we still enjoyed the massages, facials and pedicures. Everyone is so nice and constantly checking in to see if you need anything. We enjoyed the quiet room which had a fire place going and we were able to enjoy our mimosas in there while we waited for our scheduled appointments. I love the location of this new spa and most definitely plan on coming back. The prices are fair, the spa is gorgeous and all the staff is spectacular and they all have such a positive attitudes. I love this place! I'm a travel nurse in Tucson for 3 months. Luckily I found this place early on and was able to purchase a 3-month membership. For a reasonable rate, I'm able to get one spa service per month (I opt for the 1 hour massage), a discount on all other spa services (I come here regularly for mani/pedi services), and special members-only promotions. My nail services are always great and the girls are so friendly. The massages I get from Eddie are seriously the best I've ever had. I've had a massage from a different masseuse here but definitely would recommend Eddie if you want a great experience. In the summer months, they even had a "staycation" special where I was able to get a 1 hour massage, facial and spa pedicure for only $120!! I came twice for the special (and brought a friend with me). I recently tried the eyelash perming service with Anne and am so happy with my new lashes. I seriously spend too much time and money here but it's such a relaxing place. The staff are all wonderful and so nice. I love how they always offer you a beverage (sometimes an alcoholic one if you're in the mood) and let you select a movie of your choice to watch while getting pampered. I'll be very sad to say goodbye to Fuchsia when I leave Tucson at the end of my travel assignment. read more

Not even their polite dispositions would earn them another star. Not with the price point of $48 for a gel manicure. Which includes nothing but the bare minimum of the service description. You could walk in to any old salon and get at least this "good" of a paint job and for sure a more thorough job on the manicure itself and pay half the price. I'll post pictures. As a new mom, scheduling 'me time' can be difficult. I decided to buy a membership here after attending a Yelp event. I figure if I'm being charged, I'll make a better effort! It's working and what better way to relax than choosing a facial or massage for $69/month. When you come in for your appointment, you're offered spa water and peanut m&ms - yum! They've got a nice quiet room with seating and a faux fireplace. I've had a facial with Janine and massages with Monique. Both are very friendly and provide great service. Every masseuse that I've had has been great, but I especially recommend Anthony and Marcie. Anthony knows what my muscles need better than I do. My boyfriend and I received a massage yesterday and it was a terrible experience. I am not one to complain and did not want to say anything yesterday, but I woke up in so much pain that I am going to be seeking outside treatment today. I left the spa trying not to cry and tried not to cry multiple times in the massage from pain. First, we confirmed with the spa multiple times our couples massage and at no point did they tell us we would not be able to get the treatment I paid for. They told us in the moment we would not be able to get a couples massage. I understand why you did that, you did not want us to cancel. Truth be told we would have canceled because my boyfriend's present was the couple's massage. It was his birthday and he was really looking forward to being together. We felt put on the spot to continue because I figured I would have lost out on my money. In reality, I wish I had just paid the money and walked out without a massage. Next, my massage therapist kept the lights on, wore rubber gloves and gave me the most uncomfortable and painful massage of my life. He also continued to talk the entire time calling me "dude" and "bro". He kept asking why I was so tense, it was from the pain and not being able to relax through the constant conversation. Multiple times I said "ow" to him. He would release some pressure but continue in that area and it hurt so much. This massage felt medical and not relaxing, which is not what I asked for. I came in for a relaxing and romantic time with my boyfriend. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a massage before. I left that massage so stressed and unrelaxed. He only focused on my back and shoulders, and did not massage the majority of my body, which again I did not ask him to do. I understand he felt issues in my back, but that is not why I was there. It was not what I asked. I just wanted a little bit of relief in my back and shoulder. Now I am in so much pain in my back and shoulders that I cannot move my neck or right shoulder. I have experienced stabbing pain in my lower back all yesterday and this morning. Overall my boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing massage and I did not get that at all. The place is very very nice and hip looking I've been a few times for facials and although they were relaxing I didn't feel like they did all the much for my skin. Also I did try to cancel my membership and was convinced to just pause if for a few months not remember that is was not canceled I was charged unknowingly so instead of throwing a big fuss I used my credit for a massage. I would not recommend a massage here unless you are very very specific and now exactly what you want. I will say I had a LOT of knots I was not expecting to feel like I was bruised after I was hoping for a more relaxing feel. I continually have a good experience Fuchsia Spa at La Encantada, Tucson. I have had a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. I can't say enough good things about the personal treatment I have received. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We have spas all over town but this by far is most reasonable and friendly. Beautiful . My friend gifted me a facial, and boy did I need it! It has been years, and since coming to Tucson have not found any place that appealed to me. I arrived early, and was escorted, by the owner, into the relaxing den. She offered tea or water. She brought in a warm neck wrap to on my neck while I waited. The facial itself was a super treat.
