My mom told me about Fuchsia after her boss had treated his staff to facials there. I took advantage of one of the new client offers and booked a deep tissue massage with Jared. When I walked in, Alisha greeted me and was very friendly. I love the complimentary lemon water they offer! Not ice cold, but not room temperature, either. It's perfect! My massage was great! Before starting, Jared asked about my concerns, my desired pressure level, and what areas I wanted him to focus on. Afterwards, he pointed out the areas where I have the most tension. When I went back up to the front, I asked Alisha about other services. She was very knowledgeable, and I could tell she enjoys what she does. The whole time I was there, I never felt like anyone was trying to push anything on me. I like to feel like I made the decision myself, not because I felt pressured to buy this or that, or to sign up for this service or that service. Fuchsia won me over because of that. I have been going here for about a year to get facials. I joined the membership club for $59 a month to get my skin in shape for my wedding. I love my facialist Holly! She is great and very personable. Its a fun experience. This is the first time I have every committed to a spa to get facials. The people are nice and its a very girly atmosphere which I like. I took my grandma (87 yrs) and cousin (14 yrs) for a girls spa day on a weekday. My grandmother had never had any spa services. She got her first facial, massage, and manicure of her life. It was all wonderfully suited for all ages and experience with pampering. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They had lemon water refreshers and peanut M&Ms to keep you going. We stopped at nearby AJs for lunch. The location in a cute shopping center with plenty of parking was wonderful. I have to give a special shout out to Christina!!!!! She was amazing and instrumental in making this wonderful day possible and more memorable than I could have hoped!!! I called and she squeezed in a beautiful day and package prices very last minute. Then all of a sudden you can't get callus remover with a polish change..why would they decide what services you can and can't get ? Had a great experience here. Reception was very nice and professional. Loved the 'quiet room' we got to wait in before our services. My friend and I got a 1hr massage and 1hr facial, new client deal. My massage was great. My friend's massage was done by a male masseuse and she had said he was sweating and making grunting noises over her, which made her uncomfortable. Both of our facials were great, however my aesthetician was really trying to sell the products to me. Which I can get to an extent, but when she was recommending products to me, after trying to sell them during m service, she went as far as grabbing them and putting them on the counter when we went to pay. Received a gc for my birthday for the intro facial and massage. Called to make an appointment no massage available but could do facial I mentioned I had the promo gc. Once I checked out I mentioned again I had the promo gc she said yes so now just the massage portion Is on there. Scheduled a massage 2 weeks later. Go to pay and again mention I have the promo gc & I'm told my service was going to be full price bc I didn't book same day. The promo gc is for new clients never once was I told that. The girl checking me out apologizes & brings down the price & states your gc only has 45 so you'll owe $19 more. Again I explain the promo is massage & facial for a set price & that's not my fault I wasn't told the correct information & had to do same day. They wouldn't budge. So my FREE birthday gift has now cost us $150!she stated bc of the misinformation she would put a $10 credit on the account but I definitely wont be returning. I am so disappointed that this is how they conduct business so unprofessional. Get someone new in on an offer not tell them it's a certain way then argue your price and force them to pay because of your staffs lack of training and communication. Update called mgmt. today kaitlynn will be given a refund for overage and i was given an apology. Management listened didnt interrupt. I've been searching for a place to get a manicure and pedicure that offers cleanliness, fresh air, friendly service and a relaxing experience. Fuschia met all these criteria, and Gigi gave me a great mani-pedi. Her work was very professional and well done, with several coats of polish that should ensure it lasts. Her cheerful personality makes it an enjoyable experience, and I found the price reasonable. No one there pushed any products or services as mentioned in older reviews. I have been going to this place for about 2 years now and although I usually have an amazing experience here, this time I didn't. I go here to get my eyebrows done. When I go in I always tell the person doing them "I want to keep my natural shape and I don't want my eyebrows thin" usually whoever does them does a good job. This time I went in and the lady doing my eyebrows asked "do you want them to have a point or do you want them to have more of a curve" I told her "I just want my natural shape left how it is, I want to keep them thick." As she was doing my eyebrows she would put the wax on my skin while it was still burning hot. My skin is still raw and red from the horrible job she did. Once she was done doing my eyebrows I was shocked. She made my eyebrows thin and made them the opposite of their natural shape. They look so awful. She did the opposite of what I asked. I have been to this spa two times. I have only had a manicure and pedicure. I can tell you that I will never go anywhere else for a mani/pedi. This salon is so cute and everyone is friendly. I used to go to the Asian salons however, they can be rude and fast paced. This place is relaxing, comfortable, and the staff is super friendly. Everyone is talking and in conversation. My mom and I went for manicures and we both had great services. I went the other day for a last min pedicure, could only have enough time for a quick "on the goal pedicure" but I felt I got my money's worth. I have a regular esthetician I see so I probably won't ever get a facial there but I am definitely going to try out a massage. The products are pricey and considering I have a cosmetology license, I usually never buy products from a salon when I can get them for cost but none the less, they seem to have great products. read more

She is so knowledgable and comforting when talking about skin conditions and she has greatly helped to improve my completion. I tried out a Fushia massage recently was in pure heaven. I decided to treat myself to a two hour message while they had amazing holiday deals going on for December. I had a message with Vicki. She provided the best message I ever had in my life. I was so relaxed I feel asleep, which I never do. Fushia offers great prices, their staff is always welcoming and not snotty like other salons can be. Recently I was given a gift certificate to Fuchsia and used it for a facial and a massage...they both were wonderful! I thank my very best friend for the gift card and turning me on to such a great spa! The service and services I recieved were exceptional, it was very relaxing and I felt extrememly pampered when I left. I have since become a member and I must say I live in Glendale 70 miles round trip (it's worth every mile). Not worth the time. Spend your money elsewhere. You can get a shellac manicure for less at the Asian nail places and go around the corner to the European Wax Center if you need a wax. They don't come anywhere close to a real "spa" so if you've never been to one you won't know the difference. If you have then you'll be VERY disappointed read more

I went for a last minute eyebrow waxing, and they fit me in with only 30 minutes notice, at about 7:30 p.m. After some quick paperwork, accompanied by water and M&M's, Felicia did a great job. My eyebrows look great, and she was friendly and professional. I have a tendency to "lift" when I get waxed, and this still happened (even with the warning), but I think it's hard to avoid. I was thankful to have the Yelp deal that I used, because it was a bit more expensive than I was used to. Overall, it was a good experience, it'd say 3.5 if we could give partial stars. read more

I have never written a review on Yelp before, but my experience at Fuchsia was disappointing enough to make me get myself an account. When my husband scheduled a facial for me at Fuchsia for Mother's Day, I had been looking forward to it all week. The spa was running a special of a facial for $49. My impression is that the owners pride themselves on the affordability and accessibility of their spa...unfortunately, sometimes there is a reason we pay more: for better quality! Despite the aesthetician having a very sweet personality, this was NOT the facial I was looking forward to. I'll base my review around Fuchsia's website's (fuchsiaspa.com) claims. In describing their facial, the website boasts it will "properly and perfectly cleanse your skin from all makeup." In the bathroom mirror immediately after my facial, I could see that I still had mascara smudges under my eyes. Not to mention that because the aesthetician didn't wash her hands before massaging my head, I had super greasy hair and felt like I just wanted to go home and take a shower! The website also claims the facial will include "extractions if needed and desired." FALSE. Having extraction done was the main reason I got this facial, but when I expressed this to the aesthetician at the beginning of the facial, she said something to the effect of "I'll see what I can do." Toward the end of the facial when she still hadn't done any extractions and I was getting the sense that she was wrapping up, I asked her about it again. She told me that my particular blemishes are called millia and that they "aren't allowed" to extract them. She also said that everything was "too deep" to extract. She said I would have to do exfoliation on my own for two months before they could come out. Nonsense--I have had facials before and no one has ever had a problem extracting millia or anything else on my skin, especially because they "weren't allowed!" When my husband later called the spa to express our disappointment with this particular aspect of the facial, the manager said they have chosen a license that does not allow them to do these kinds of extraction because they could draw blood. So let the buyer beware: do not expect extractions and do not expect your aesthetician to tell you this directly at the beginning of your facial. Next, let's examine the website's claim that after the facial you will be given the opportunity to "browse the loot specifically chosen by your aesthetician for your one-of-a-kind skin at checkout." Well, that's certainly accurate! My facial ended with an attempt to sell me products from the store (which I've experienced before, no huge deal.) But far more annoying was that from the moment I arrived at Fuchsia, I was inundated with repeated offers of their $59/month membership by everyone from the girl at the check-in desk to the aesthetician to the manager to the check-in paperwork. Does YOUR relaxing spa experience include being upsold at every turn? No, mine doesn't either. As for the spa environment, it also was nothing special--the seating area is quite small and their treatment rooms and hallway are decorated with Ikea prints. I realize I can only speak from one experience, but all in all, it was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend Fuchsia, especially for a facial. read more
